Not very good racing - recent storms had the track very dusty! I was on S3 tires and my buddy was on S1 tires, and we still couldn't really race hard. We'll blow the track off and race again soon! I also want a body! Your BMW inspired me, and blue is my favorite color!

Rubber tires are best for 1/8 vehicles; 1/10 can do rubber or foam.

while i appreciate you taking the time to respond your answer wasn't a lot of help. rubber foam 1/10th scale is a given, what i need is which rubber tires, i can find nothing online that explains rc tire compounds and specs, and all the idiots selling rc tires on ebay seem to know even less about rc tires then me and so far not one of the online retailers i've emailed for tire info has bothered to respond jsut like they can't bother to list any info except price on their sites. i can't afford to keep guessing and ending up with tires so soft that only last for a couple of battery packs. i need a 63-64mm diameter tire mounted on a 0 offset wheel with a hard enough compound to run on asphalt parking lots, is there specific tire brand and model you can recommend? thanks

Sorry for the terse response previously. Electric touring cars are very sensitive to the tire hardness when running on asphalt - too soft, and they last one weekend; too hard, and you'll spin out at each corner. For the surface that we use for racing, which is fairly old and dusty asphalt, I prefer the GRP GVX11-MA32. The tire classified as medium soft, and I get about 7-10 race days of usage, which is pretty good for $30! If you race on newer asphalt, you can use a slightly harder tire, like the GRP GVX11-MA36; it will last much longer, but is VERY sensitive to dust. Another good tire I've used is the Muchmore Rush Pre-Glued Touring Car Tire - 32 shore.It gives outstanding grip, and lasted longer than I thought they would - about 8 race days. i have no idea what any of those tires are but finally some information i can explore thank you, this online tire thing is is all screwed up, most sites don't give any tire details and the few that do just say things like compound re25 or compound d but have no references to what that means. i know 7-10 days is better then 2-3 battery packs like the onroad slicks i bought which turns out were carpet tires and why are all the wheels 3,6 and 12mm offset, my xray needs 0 offset to fit tires under the 190mm body. i do have one more question if you know the answer, what does it mean when they say "touring car run flat tires" what is the run flat supposed to signify... thanks again

I've never heard of a "run flat tire" for touring cars! Sounds like some stupid marketing gimmick. I have an Xray T4 2016 and use the GRP and Muchmore tires exclusively, and they last for several race days. As far as tire designations, most tire makers use the Shore rating to delineate tire hardness. In touring cars, the Shore ratings are normally 26, 30, 32, 36, and 38, with 26 being the softest and 38 being the hardest. These numbers will appear somewhere in the tire part number. Some manufacturers will also use "a", "b", "c", or "d" in the tire part number, where "a" is the softest and "d" is the hardest.

Mohamed Aburashid That is a "hot" motor, so your gear ratio needs to be tame - 3:1 is good (if your spur is 46, your pinion should be 15). Speed control settings should be "tame" - low start power, max punch control, etc.
