It would be a wonderful boon if you could situate your camera on the right side of the board game so that I can have a continuous visual on the wonders of each player to better understand the intent behind certain actions each player executes. Great game! There's nothing scarier than a prepared conspiracy. Because of the size of the conspiracy deck, it's basically impossible to predict what the opponent might have. This makes it near impossible to predict what they can do on their turn because of how many possibilities exist. The Divinities are almost as numerous but because they're divided into short decks of 3, you have a lot more certainty of what could be on the top of the decks. I don't think you played the senate badly, but there was one time where you placed a cube with a conspirator instead of taking a conspiracy. Had you taken the conspiracy, you would have had Political Maneuver and made it impossible for him to win on politics. Obviously you couldn't have known that but it goes to show that conspiracies are often more powerful than a single influence, even in a powerful chamber.

Ah yes a legendary battle to be had. Love playing against silent.

good tier list! I was wondering if you could use the tokens from pantheon (the two that does not interact with the gods) if you are just playing the base game? Also would you balance then with house rules? for example Poliorcetics making your opponent lost 2 coins instead of 1 for each space moved?

On behalf of the organization of Maior da Minha Aldeia, thank you very much for this review. I think participants will appreciate your tips. As you said, this championship has some influences from the World Series of Boardgames, but with the respective adaptations for games with only 2 players. The championship consists of 12 selected games (7 Wonders Duel, Azul, Carcassonne, Kingdom Builder, Kingdomino, Patchwork, Splendor, Stone Age, Takenoko, Targi, Welcome To and Wingspan) where players try to advance as much as possible in each tournament in order to accumulate the most points possible to be among the 8 best. The second phase which is a playoff (8 best) where the quarter and semi-finals play 3 games, where the players select from the 12 games of the championship, and have to win 2 to advance and the final they will play 5 games (both finalist select from the 12 games) and have to win 3 to be the champion.

58:20 He used Mausoleum earlier because if he would have wait until the green card when frank opens both cards he could have lost leaving the conspiracy card after his turn.Remember frank had the military conspiracy. Still it was a little bit of luck what was gonna come also. Atte Plopzito

Yes! I agree. My friends and I spend weekends playing this game because it was so much fun and it opened our eyes to the board game world. We started off playing Catan and Munchkin but didn't realize there were co-op games. We played Pandemic after this and found it didn't have those nail-biting moments. Even though I hate dice in most board games, it fits fairly well in here. Yes, the randomness can lead to losses that feel unfair, but it always feels like if we changed our moves slightly, we could have gained the upper hand here or there. The only problems I found with this game is that the iconography takes a while to learn and there can be a lot of quarter backing. It's relentless but it is definitely up there on my co-op board game tier list too!

Anybody else here that prefers playing without Agora? It makes the card count uneven increasing the first player advantage even further and the conspiracy cards are, as mentioned in this video, really swingy in terms of power level. Very rare that I would actually say the base game without expansion is superior.

In this situation the choice is really between you getting Money Lenders Guild + Arena or Arena + Palace which makes it a no-brainer (first choice is superior) imo.

Probably the unluckiest Age 1 for the couple I've ever seen balanced by an inexperienced opponent. He could have won with Science, Military or Points and fumbled all of them!

I’m like 45 to 150 on most games

Game is easy to learn with an upgdrate freedas blessing - 1 rage for upgrades pretty good
