Any king of fighters game?
Oh yeah, they have a few on the multicabs, I can't remember which ones, but I'm sure they had 3 or more .
That's a crazy collection of shmups. Definitely never seen a Dragon Saber in the wild before.
The craziest collection I've ever seen was at Galloping Ghosts. I did a slow walkthrough of the whole arcade. If you like shmups I'd check that one out.
wait all of keg and case is this arcade?
Pretty much, the little pizza place in there is owned by the same people. It's their party room/console bar.
Great pinball selection. Funny to see my two all-time favorites next to each other: Attack From Mars and Twilight Zone. This video kind of breezed over the shmups in the japanese cabinet section. Was wondering if they had any Cave shmups.
Great pins. You're right, we didn't spend much time looking at the candy cabinets. All of the candy cabinets have multiple games on them. I know they have a larger focus on fighting games then shmups.
I'll be in soon!! I've always wanted to go. Do you guys have Gauntlet??
It's a fun place, but has been crowded most times Ive been there. There's always a wait to get to the minigolf now.
I've never been there where there isn't a wait for mini golf other than on a Thursday. If it's Friday through Sunday, it's busy. The arcade is what I go for. After I played the mini golf 3-4 times, I was good.
wow, Starcade has an awesome selection of games!
They do have a great selection of games. Just imagine what the owners have in their home arcades.
This place looks amazing and I can't wait to check it out!
I agree. The owner filmed this walkthrough, I can't wait to go see it.
now this is Americana , ty for the upload, keep it going !!!
Will do! Thanks for checking out the video, we appreciate it.
Added to my road trip list of stops. Very awesome setup and looking forward to hours of fun here. All that is missing is a jukebox filled with 80's and 90's music.
Yeah, a jukebox would be cool. I like arcades that don't have music, and you are just surrounded by the sounds of the games.
200 games, that's cute...Galloping Ghost arcade in Chicago has 996 lol.
I know I was just there and filmed a full walkthrough. This is also a large arcade. Just not the largest.
That is the first time I've ever seen a Warlords cab, great game.
It's not an original, Bryan does own one, but it's not in the arcade. This is a licensed remake by their company and our partners on Food Fight Frenzy, Retro Arcade Remakes. The 4-player Warlords is super fun!
This place is perfect. really impressed with selection
I agree, an excellent selection of rare and common classics. It is one of the best arcades I've ever been to. I'm so glad it's under a 30-minute drive.
Movie is the Wizard it was okay but never really owned it and probably only seen it 2 times. Didn't really like the story or care for it over time.
I don't think I've seen it. I'll have to check it out and decide for myself.
You had to be a kid at that time when The Wizard came out because it was the debut/reveal of Super Mario Bros. 3 in the United States. That's where kids like myself at the time first saw SMB3.
Great way to show off a new game.
Super fun to meet you my friend!
Awesome Arcade! Sadly in Arizona otherwise would totally want to help you out as I own many Rare Games. :(
Great to meet you too Nick!
You have a bunch of great arcades in Arizona. What is your home arcade? Electric Bat?
@@IndieArcadeWave The ones I did enjoy back in the day was Golf N Stuff - still around here in Tucson. But my current favorite one is the TILT Arcade in the Arizona Mill's Mall in Phoenix with the Rainforest Cafe. Love anything with Animatronics or is trying to do something new. Most the Arcades in Phoenix have been disappointing me.
I haven't been impressed with most TILTs I encounter. Maybe I'm just finding really small ones in Minnesota, but they all have 3 claw games, 2 more prize games, 2 drivers, and a big environmental cabinet. I'm sure they make good money, but it's not what I'm into.
I have a 4 day trip planned here for September... can't wait
You are going to love it. 4 days might be enough time, there is so much there.
Why was this place so busy? I guess it's good to see any arcade get so much business. Thanks for the tour. Just a suggestion: please upload your videos in 60 fps. The judder makes it hard to watch on a TV.
They are only open 4 days a week. I was there on a Saturday. It was very busy. You're welcome. Thank you for the suggestion, I'll keep that in mind with future videos.
It’s a fun place. You should get a walkthrough of their other bigger locations.
This was the only one I had time to explore when I was in Chicago. If I had more time, I would have.
I appreciate the upload. The owner clearly loves 80s 2D games. I feel like they should add more driving games, Sega games, and Namco games to round out the collection. Basically add some more "greatest hits" of the 1990s to make the arcade games more balanced. No Sega Daytona USA is a shame!
I know James loves the 80's and 90's games. I think driving games aren't in here due to space, they take up a lot of room and his arcade isn't huge. He can fit a lot more uprights in there if he doesn't have drivers.
Thanks for the upload. Surprisingly, there's not that many arcade machines. I would say only about 25% of the space has arcade machines. Feels more like a bar/entertainment lounge with some arcade machines "sprinkled" on-top. They should figure out a way to add more machines to even things out.
I would love to see more games in here. I spoke with the bartender and found out that this was the smallest location in Chicago. It feels more like a place to drink with some games. The game selection was pretty good but they have so much room for more games. The good news was the games were in good shape.
yeah but i really like how all the 4 player machines were well spaced.
i counted 36, thats still alot for people just looking to have a night out.
@@georgewindsor2667 I agree, when you play 4-player games and you are bumping into the people at another game, that's annoying.
What's with the ominous background music? Am I watching an arcade tour video, or a Terminator horror movie? 😂
The music is by a friend of mine Street Cleaner. The royalty free TH-cam music sucks so I'm using a friends music instead.
Cool arcade
Thanks for checking out the video!
Great video Adam!!
Adam is the man!
I loved this walkthrough. You got a beautiful collection. I returned to my early adolecense before my eyes. However I didn't get to see one of my favorite 80's arcade game (Spy Hunter)!
He might have added one. I just posted an updated tour last week. He had a bunch of new games in the arcade.
spoilt by the stupid music!
TH-cam doesn't have great royalty free music.
What the place smell like? Hope smells like arcade supermarket goo.
It smells like an arcade, exactly what you would expect for almost 1000 40+ year old cabinets. It's clean, but it has that dusty arcade smell you're looking for.
Do they have house of the dead or time crises?or cruis’n USA?
At the time of filming, I don't think so. They have changed things up a lot since I was there last. I'll try to get an updated walkthrough.
Great tour but $30 for mini golf.. Not worth visiting
I like the mini golf. I've gone twice, after that I was good. I just go for the arcade now, which is reasonably priced for how many games they have. You could spend hours playing and not play every game.
This brings back my Grand Prix race o Rama memories back the 80s as a teen❤ I will check this out later today
What did you think? Glitch has a great selection of games.
when aladdin's castle closed in west town there was a void of arcades for the LONGEST TIME in madison.
Yeah, that happened all over the place. I remember that, near me growing up, everything was closed except Chuck E. Cheese. It wasn't until I was in college that arcade bars started opening in Minneapolis.
Great episode! Roddy is the man, those are some incredible ICB skills.
Thanks, Roddy is crazy good!
All modern games, big thumbs down.
He owns a ton of retro and indie stuff, but he takes it to conventions. This is a pretty old line up too, the arcade could have changed a lot.
Very sexy
Was thinking of going yesterday but I had to get up early for work today. Still gotta see what I can do on Galaga now that it supposedly set to defaults for the extra ships.
Yeah you need to get on that. Going for the world record?
I'm not that good but I did kill screen my Arcade 1Up Galaga ONCE without cheating. (Didn't use the no enemy fire cheat)
2:40 - It looks like the T2 cabinet had only one gun attached to the CPO in this video, but when me and my brother went there today, I saw that the player 2 gun was attached. So I hit both start buttons and tested both guns, and I was happy to find out that both were 100% working!!! The recoil feature on the player 1 gun was the only thing not working, but the game was in 100% PLAYABLE CONDITION!!! So we played the game and almost beat it, but we eventually gave up on the final boss (T-1000) after having to restart the level multiple times. :( Also, between the Galaga and Neo-Geo cabinets was a Fast and the Furious Drift cabinet, which was turned on, but it was stuck on a DOS screen during the bootup sequence. :(
I'm glad to hear they made the repairs on that T2 cabinet. I filmed this in late February when we visited to demo Galactic Battleground. That T-1000 is hard to beat.
@@IndieArcadeWave When we went there yesterday, the Galactic Battleground game wasn't there anymore. That game probably would have been a fun one to play.
@@IndieArcadeWave what games were all on the Neo-Geo cabinet besides Bust-A-Move and Aero Fighters 2?
This Arcade looks amazing, I would have went ham in there 😆
James has a solid lineup. I really like his Attack From Mars and Food Fight.
This is my favorite arcade! Did you know they recently redid it? They made it more spacious. They made the back room (the room with the modern games and figures) into two rooms! One a dark room, with more stuff, and the other a room with modern games and Pokémon battles!! It’s so cool!
I didn't know it was redone. I knew Eddie was planning on remodeling but I haven't been back in Florida since filming this.
@@IndieArcadeWave you should definitely check it out when you come to Florida again. It’s great! The second dark room is a bit hot, but other than that it’s awesome
You can definitely walk around more freely too
This place is a hidden gem. And I love the nerdy gamers that come. I feel like I belong 🤣
kinda cool to see an arcade version of Nidhogg II
It's amazing to play, feels more natural than it does on console or PC.
Super nice collection.
I agree, a great balance of must haves and rare games mixed in with shooters and pinball.
If Heaven was a place on Earth....this is it. I live about a 20 min ride from the Ghost, I try to visit every 3 months. If you're in Chicago visiting stop in Brookfield IL and hit this place up.
I live like an hour away. I go there super often.
Good, yours blessed to be that close to an arcade like that. I'd be there all the time.
I agree. If you are ever near, you need to check it out. I'd be visiting all the time if I wasn't 7 hours away.
Wow so cool. I have subscribed. Thank you so much for taking the time to do that video. As a massive lover of retro gaming it has always been a dream of mine to go to here. But living in the UK it is quite a trip for me. You may be interested in a tour I did of Europe's biggest arcade venue like here, called Arcade Club in Bury (Near Manchester in the UK)... Here is definitely bigger, but it has some they don't have there, so may be interesting for you and others to see. In TH-cam If you go on the RGDS Podcast and search for Arcade Club you should find it.
That's awesome, Doc has visitors from all over the world show up at Galloping Ghosts. I will go check out that video I love seeing arcades. Seeing a big arcade in the UK would be sweet. I get to see some in Japan in a few months.
@@IndieArcadeWave Watched every second of your video now and Galloping Ghosts is insane how big the place is. Will definitely have to arrange a trip there, as that place is so special. In UK we have three Arcade Club venues... Bury (near Manchester), Leeds and Blackpool, but Bury is the really big one. There are smaller other venues like Timewarp (at Bridgewater), but only Arcade Club Bury would be worth making a journey to.
Are those the retrofitted, the beagle animatronics from the Chuck E. Cheese pizza time theater at 0:02
I believe they are. Unfortunately, they weren't turned on when I was there. Maybe I'll see them on next time I'm there.
Saweeeeeeeeeeeet!
Right, awesome location, decoration, and selection of games.
@@IndieArcadeWave I need to get out more. Just to arcades though.
really loved his feedback on being a new arcade. I am going to have to sacrifice for years to make it happen. currently 41 games.
The collection is growing! I feel like the last time you gave a number, it was in the mid 20's. Your are well on your way.
as always great info. thanks for doing this!
I'm happy to do it. I love hearing more about the business and helping other owners and future owners.
Way to end it with that lovely X-Men Arcaded 6-player version. Also wow that Primal Rage 2 cabinet. The Golfland I lived across the street from in the town of Milpitas near San Jose Bay Area had it there for a minute, although I don't recall if I saw it (I certainly remember Primal Rage 1). Weird to definitively see it now.
Yeah that X-Men cab is nice isn't it. Primal Rage 2 is a crazy rare cabinet, Doc built this one. A friend sold him the board and he built the cabinet around it. When we spoke about that he said there are only a few known to exist, it never got past testing. He told the whole story in the first interview I did with him.
I just want Gungeon 2, man...
I feel that the first one was so good and it's been a long time since it came out. Maybe one day, who knows what Dodgeroll and Devolver are up to.
Turns out it's not a joke, but it probably should have been. I mean really, you're trying to turn a top down Survivors style bullet hell into an FPS gun shooter.
Have you tried it? They didn't try to turn it into anything, they just took a different direction with it. I love the original, and I think this is one of the best light gun games I've ever played.
@@IndieArcadeWave The original wasn't worth playing for more than an hour, why would I play a remake that holds none of the originals concepts? The point of my comment is that this is only related to the original by the art style and reused assets. The number of people this will reach compared to the effort (or lack thereof) objectively makes this a conceptual failure.
There is already one at Legends Arcade in Olympia Washington. I have had a great time with it. The light guns could have a longer cable but otherwise it was a fantastic time.
I agree that a slightly longer cable would be nice. I think it's the length it is, so it doesn't hit the floor if someone drops it.
This looks fun
It's super fun! I love Switch N Shoot. You can play it on Steam and Switch.
@@IndieArcadeWave Nice! I hope my arcade gets it
