Thank you, needed to know how to take the top cover off. my button had some issues and basically failed due to the dumb idea of putting a rubber gasket that wears out over time so I just stuck some thick double stick tape in there and it should last now until I need new tape

Useful video but there is a cut where you remove the batteries. Mine are stuck in the top end somehow, I can pull the bottom end out about 1cm. Maybe they are soldered at the top? Also, it's confusing why you solder at the circuit board, is that really necessary?

yes, thats the important part missing - you need to solder, there is no other way...))

Even my PC has the same problem and I think its the power supply as you said but the technicians are saying power supply/smps is working. I am confused if I should buy a new one. In your case did the PC work for a long duration when it actually started (i.e during the intermittent issue)?

    • @maheshmnair7990

@@devilgmerX If the problem is with SMPS the system won't start at all. Majority of the time intermittent starting issue is faulty motherboard. Other components don't fail easily. Technician will tell you they can fix it. It's not possible. Even they know it. Even a small issue on motherboard, you have to replace it. No other solution. If your work is not graphics heavy then don't buy a gaming motherboard. It's circuitry is complex and it will crash in less time. Nowadays by default most of them are gaming mb.

Hello... Thank you... This was really helpful. I am facing a problem; after replacing the battery, I couldn't turn off the device. Had to let the battery discharge before fitting everything else in place. Something on the motherboard caught fire that must have been responsible for failure of the switch. Can you confirm.

1:20 is the important part. slide it down, not up (also works for bt5200). Otherwise you'll break the hinges. Also, the top assembly with plastic rings: look with the light inside the scroller ring and align the plastic bump with a hole at number 10. It's not perfectly 10, there is a slight shift 1mm. Thanks for the video, btw!

Vorsicht.
