The best part of the game imo is having times that you struggle like this which everyone did when they started and then you get really good and come back and mop everyone in one run, keep it up bro:)

The closest thing to regaining health in this game is finding the little green statues. So everytime you dies, the amount of years you age increases (First death you age 1 year, second death you age 2 years, etc). When you find the statues, click x and scroll over to the pink power ups. One of them lets you restart your death count. This allows you to restart you the amount of years you age. So if youre on your fourth death, instead of aging 5 years the next time you die youll only age 1 year. You only loose if you die in your 70's.

I beat the game yesterday, the last boss was a nightmare for me died so many times before beating him. Anyway a good tip for the game is to avoid or deflect as much as you can, to avoid keep pressing L1 and tapping back to avoid high attacks or forward for low attacks it will make all enemies vulnerable for your offense and try to increase your focus bar early in the game.

Game's brutal my guy. I died before I reached the 2nd boss my first time playing. Now I can make it to Kuriko the 3rd boss by age 25. But gottttt damn does she kick my ass every single time!

Try to avoid most enemy attacks. If you do, you'll slow time for a split second, and hitting an enemy during that opens them for an easy combo. Also, if you hold a weapon, you can block just about any attack with no consequence as long as your posture meter doesn't get broken.

Change the settings lol hate to say it but once you master the block, using the room to your advantage and mastering the levels you will be better
