I grew up listening to Black Flag and The Rammones. Found this group by pure accident, and so glad it happened.

Fugazi isn’t punk. I’m going to make a t-shirt of this because I have to keep telling people. Fugazi is post-hardcore/ alternative rock/ indie rock. They aren’t just those genres they are the originators, innovators, pioneers, overall creators of post-hardcore and Alternative Rock. And as well Indie rock along with Husker du and Minutemen and pixies. All these 4 bands created alt rock mainly Husker and Fugazi created post-hardcore Andn indie .

I wouldn’t mind a Grammy. Not going to give up my ass for one though.

I never heard a better punk band than Jello Biafra & The Dead Kennedys, nowadays no one do punk as before imo; the warth.. the love... the energy, the best punk bands that i've heard recently are Amyl & The Sniffers from Australia and The Bobby Lees from the US, and on with a very different sound and from the England... The Sleaford Mods, idk much about genres, for me a band it's punk or it isn't; those 3 are punk imo and i like 'em. It's true, we still need more Jello Biafra and more punk to fight all this sh*t.

I’ve been going through your reaction videos (especially KGLW) and I have some suggestions. First is SLIFT. They’re a trio consisting of two brothers and a long time friend, based out of France and recently signed to Sub Pop. They are intense! Awesome musicians. I would specifically start in with them by watching them play ‘Ummon’ Live Levitation Session. That whole performance is killer and the way the video was captured is cool as hell. I think you might also enjoy a Nashville based band called All Them Witches. They have a low tuned, very bluesy, psychedelic at times, grinding at other times, stoner rock kinda thing going on. Great musicianship. A couple good songs to get you introduced to them would be ‘See You Next Fall’, ‘Diamond’, and ‘When God Comes Back’ . Anyway, I’m a long time fan. I still cover “Tyler”and “Away” from time to time at open mics and such. I’m your newest subscriber.

26:31 I remember a post someone started or replied to on the Toadies BBS back when Fight Club came out. Commenting on how that song at the end of the movie was a rip off of Tyler. Then someone suggested that the author named Tyler Durden after your song. Good times at the Toadies BBS. As a newbie back then I was schooled on your song Surfer Rosa when someone brought it up, I said something like, "that's an album title not a song." Oops.

Another absolutely great episode, always wondered why this was released twice, thanks for explaining it. Here's something else I've always wondered about: For many years there has been a release attributed to Toadies called "Chatterbox" supposedly recorded either in '90 or '92 depending on the source. Some say its a Toadies demo tape, while others say it was a side project between Vaden and Darrel. Could you guys enlighten us about this tape? Tracks from it were: 1) Righteous, 2) Nothing, 3) No Mo Happyface, 4) Swollen Head, 5) Lazy Mouth, and 6) Under Anesthesia. I think during this episode when you said "Happyface" was Darrrel's song that might have been eluding to this release?

I remember being a senior in high school and it was when this came out, so many amazing memories at madhatters. Could you guys talk about the video shoot for mister love? I remember waiting all day at slacker kingdom because they said they wanted an audience and then they canned it
