Great job on the breakdown! As an EXP Mega Icon team leader I think Real is a great company and the cloud model is where MOST agents should be. The reason I personally took my business to EXP was to be around agents and team leaders who are producing at a much higher level than me. EXP closes a lot more transactions and has a lot more of the big business builders by far. At the end of the day I’ll pay a few thousand more to EXP to be around that. That alone helped me take my business from $50M to $200M+ annually. Not to mention the 7 levels of rev share. When I think of the big picture and the long term growth of my business, EXP is more valuable in my opinion. Real is still a great company and could be a better fit for some. I’m rooting for their success because that helps me as well with the cloud based movement. 🙏🏼
with lpt 100% commission structure is this correct? using 5 transaction example annual fee 500 transaction 2500 (5*500) annual cap 5000 ( i think this number is incorrect given 5 transaction example) Total expenses $8000 @ lpt 100% vs $10k @ real, & $12,800 @ exp assuming this is correct I could take the $2,000 vs real and $4800 vs exp and invest in any broker stock or any stock i may be interested. If you can meet the production numbers that will award reals $24k stock award or exp $16k stock award then that alone will offset the numbers big time.
so LPT has two different paths, you can do the "business builder" plan which is a flat fee but you don't get any revenue share and very little in stocks, or their "rev share partner" plan which includes revenue share and all the stock options. I'm comparing the rev share partner plan here because it is the most similar to REAL and eXp's models which also give revenue share and stocks. That plan has an 80/20 split and a $15,000 a year cap. Your numbers do look right for the business builder plan. LPT is the cheapest cloud brokerage out there if that is what someone is looking for. If your looking for the BEST brokerage, it's probably not going to also be the cheapest.

The down line profit sharing is something Keller Williams has literally done since the 1980’s. It’s also can be passed on in your estate. Yay Gary Keller.
Yeah, Keller Williams first had a 7 tier Profit Share program to reward agents for attracting other agents to the company. I was at KW for 5 years before joining REAL, their program is very different though, at KW you only receive profit share if the brokerage the agent you attracted is at is profitable...and very few are.
I’m an in person training personality: especially with something new. Right now im deciding between two incredible teams, one with Real one with KW (strong franchise minutes from my home that happened to be the #1 searched city on Zillow in 2022). I think Real sounds like an incredible opportunity for me a few years in, and I’m sure the virtual trainers are all that you say. But I want in person training as I build my foundation, and their launch program offers just that.

REAL does not provide something like that. Most of our agents either rent their own office spaces or work from a home office.

Are there any obligations from the sponsor you choose? As in should they be providing support and bringing additional value to your experience at REAL?
Great question and the short answer is no. Your sponsor should be helpful and make sure you are tapped into all the resources REAL provides and be able to answer questions but should not be expected to provide you additional, exclusive training or coaching or tech. REAL is the one who provides those things. We want our agents focused on selling my homes and growing their own businesses.

the service is included, you do have to still pay per post card.
I just don't understand how none of these videos are fully transparent. No one is talking about adjustments on the revenue share. You can make "up to 5%"a capping agent, which doesn't mean you will make that. Real revenue share caps at 60%. EXP used to have a buffer a.k.a. adjustment as well, but they removed that in order to be more transparent. REAL is definitely better option than most old-fashioned brokerages, but it still doesn't beat EXP when it comes to revenue share.
Hey George, not sure what you mean about not being transparent. REAL is very transparent about revenue share, in fact, I talk about how REAL will give back 60% of it's monthly revenue compared to only 50% from other companies all the time. Also, eXp still has a revenue cap, it's set to 50% of monthly revenue and because of this the amount of rev share you get per agent changes every single month. This video is several years old....I have more up to date videos I have made this year which break down many changes REAL has made over the years including true willable revenue share and their revenue share retirement plan.

No real downside, you still have access to all of REALs benefits if you choose to go that rout.
isn't there a DOJ title lawsuit against the title company in DC and the agents who did the joint venture relationship because of RESPA? i don't why agents do this because it just gives the industry a bad reputation ven if technically it is legal and they win the DOJ lawsuit. morally it isn't a good look to recommend a service that you get a profit from especially in the home purchase industry.
I agree that you have to be careful with it. Join venture with a title company is very common practice though, agents just need to make sure they fully disclose they have ownership in the company. I've read some of these disclosures and many clearly state that the buyer is able to choose any title company they want to. Some even give other recommendations. In my experience, the buyers don't typically care either way.
@@next-genagents7731 why don’t they care? Because they have no clue and they rely on the fiduciary to give them the most unbiased advice. Not only is that advice not unbiased, it also is a profit center for the agent. Why take the risk? As mentioned, there is a DOJ case in DC against the JV title scheme. Overall, it just gives agents a bad look, if not worse.
For people that signed on prior to all the fee changes are they grandfathered into the old payment structure or are they required to pay the new fees too? Just curious as I could join now and it go higher later and that would be valuable information to know. Thanks!
no, the changes are company wide. I've been here almost 4 years and this is the only time they have ever adjusted their fees, so I would not expect them to do this again for a long time. A big reason they had to was just inflation, we have seen the value of the dollar drop alot the last 4 years and all companies have had to adjust their fees accordingly.

Hi! I heard you mentioned Annapolis, Maryland. I am in Bowie, MD. Currently not licensed. But, I will be within the next 60 days. I was going with EXP but then I saw this video and learned about REAL. I would love to learn about the Maryland resources (if you happen to live here and already know about them). I am planning to be a commercial real estate agent who specializes in luxury apartment buildings. But, I just now heard in the video the mention about how REAL does not have commercial, currently. Is it not normal for a new agent to do commercial? Is it recommended to start residential? My mom works at Sampson Properties and has been a residential agent for 22 years.

I was going with EXP but then I saw this video and learned about REAL. I would love to learn about the Maryland resources (if you happen to live here and already know about them). Is commercial a separate entity and do they charge fees for these transactions.
You can do commercial at REAL. We don't have an officially commercial division yet, but that is coming.
Thank you very much for your informative videos. Just want to correct one part. Their mortgage and title businesses are tiny and don’t add much to their bottom line. Besides, I’m not sure they’re profitable at all
Right now, yes, Both are maybe only available in 20% of the country and are quickly growing. Once both are available in all 50 states, probably in the next 12 months, then I think they will contribute a larger portion of the revenue.
