I also agree with your comments about the curtain access and Pentax seem to suffer from curtain issues, mainly Spotmatics so age is a culprit, however I think the Edixa was made well and those who purchased where a little more selective and hence probably looked after them better, a more sophisticated clientele! 🧐🤣😂 yes there is a list of models and years if you key in Edixa!

Great information and I do wonder sometimes if I’m being watched, as I recently got out my two Edixas and one was bought from America, with lens and I periodically go around and choose a camera to check over etc, so you popped up and great, I’ve subscribed and will have a look at any others you’ve done, sometimes you get that little snippet of info from the unexpected source!

I'm searching for info how to replace bellows in this camera. I got one very cheap and this was the reason for its low price. I have plenty of other small bellows cameras so I'm sure one of them will fit. just dont know how to remove old one. It looks like squeezed between to metal parts...

Picked up a Wirgin Edixa-Mat Reflex at an antique mall. The shutter curtains would hang up at 1/25 or slower. This video offered the perfect fix. The shutter now functions at all speeds. Thank you 3:57

I also use an old bellows with a 50mm Apo Rodagon on a Sony A7R5. As lighting a Godot flash in a light box triggered via radio, perfect setting!

I picked up a nikon slide copier a few years that is built like a tank for $60. I use it with my Nikon 7100 camera and a 50mm lens. I'll have to try an enlarging lens to see now well that works

Hello! I have pretty the same setup but I noticed a problem with this Rodenstock 50mm in my case. I have cropped Canon and I'm using the lens in inverted position. If a frame is bright (dark negative) I can see a round reflection (and diaphragm glare) of the lens straight in the center of picture because of dark parts of negative works like a mirror. I was trying to get rid of it using filters, different light but so, there is lens reflection still. The only idea is to use a longer focal lens, like 100mm... Do You have the same issue? In other things, the lens make great images, contrast and colors. For inverting I'm using only native Canon raw converter DPP.

What you estimate your cost? I made use of what was given to me of a Nikon PB-4 Bellows + PS-4 Slide Copy kit but I understand it's quite expensive. I use my own SB-29 Micro ring light into soft box or any good TTL flash on supported body. If I had to start over, I'd say the ready made for D810 kid it offered was , is way easier and cost effective IF, you already have a good 1:1 Macro. I use the Nikkor 60mm f2.8D. Fits directly to camera locks in place and you can literally hand hold

Thank you so much for this video. I purchased a Nikon bellows with the slide copier attachment, but the images I was getting from my nikkor 55mm F2.8 macro was pretty bad in the corners at f8. The center was incredible sharp but the corners were out of focus due to field curvature. An enlarger lens is a great solution as it's flat field and designed to project flat images. How's the grain definition you're getting from corners? Same as center?

I have a Zeiss ikon Ikonta 532 with a similar lens layout and wanted to clean the glass as well, but I can't find a right way putting the front glass back together. I cant find any detailed information on this anywhere!

Very enjoyable - thank you. When I was a kid I'd get dragged along with my little sister by our mother to visit HER sister on a Saturday and I'd be SO bored until it was time to take my uncle a cup of tea in his shed at the bottom of the garden. Two cups of tea and two foil wrapped chocolate biscuits would be carefully carried on an old tin tray to the magic that was Uncle Dan's shed. There he would repair watches, clocks, cameras and radio sets and I'd sit in silence and watch. One thing I learned was he always worked on a flat tray covered in an old pillowcase - dropped screws wouldn't bounce away and nothing would get scratched, everything was lined up "regimental fashion" and it was an old pillowcase because my Aunt . . . well. One Saturday he passed me an old 120 camera - some obscure Italian make that he'd picked up during the war - and showed me how to dismantle it and, more importantly, put it back together: "any fool can take something to pieces, the clever bit is not having any parts left over when you put it back together!" I must have stripped and rebuilt that camera a dozen times or more and each time we'd take it to the local park and take a roll of film "to make sure". For my 12th birthday he gave me an Ikonta 521 (same lens/shutter setup), another souvenir of his travels through Europe courtesy of King George which I have to this day 58 years later. Like mine the "eyes" of the camera have seen better days and it's time for a bit of a clean up which is why I'm here. I'll make sure not to put the back retaining ring on too early - let's just hope there'll be no parts left over, eh? Thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you - just what I need for doing my 6x9 model. If you want a real laugh, try dismantling and refitting the double-action Prestor shuuter from a Werra. It's... challenging!

Thanks, this will help me with my super ikonta 530/16, or whatever it is.somehow figure out how to collimate the lens vs RF. At least I now know how to get at the focusing element. WhoLe films of late are not focused n the film plane, rather focus falls just behind the subject.

I kinda goofed on mine and forgot i set it to 100 shutter speed but now i got it back aligned but the camera is only good at 6-64 feet away now
