I had the amazing privilege of working with Robin Williams in the movie Patch Adams I spent the whole lunch time with him! He treated me like an older brother, and somewhat like a mentor an advisor: since I was trying to get my screen play, a fantasy romance DESTINY made and still in that process because it’s not an easy one to have happen:he gave me important advice about that as well. Robin was an amazing person, caring and understanding compassionate and empathetic. These are spiritual gifts that we should all emulate and admired him as an Actor and emulated him as a comedian, that’s part of the reason why he is so real as an actor. I also had another kindred spirit with him for other reasons and I also met him years after I had hung out with him on Patch Adams. He remembered me from Patch Adams and we did dueling George H Bush impressions and I reminded him how I said can I take a picture and he picked up my camera and took a picture of me while on Patch Adams. I also met and talked to back-and-forth hobnobbed with Philip Seymour Hoffman, who is also in the movie Patch Adams. Robin was perfect to play patch Adams, who is a real person and was much like Robin and the way he used those performance abilities and helping take care of children as a doctor. I’m also a comedian, and had worked with friends of his also, which was also was another connection. I understand why Robin did what he did, considering the condition he had. The beauty of being a creative person, whether in writing screenplays, books, performing arts, film music, is your creative message will live on beyond the time that you’re here and touch many many other people into the future . I love Robin Williams as an actor,comedian, and most of all for person that he was! The first segment is about Kazan and the Last Tycoon. DeNiro really showed some versatility there, since that is the best portrayal of a Fitzgerald hero I ever saw. It was based on Thalberg, a Jewish intellectual and Kazan and DeNiro really worked hard on that, even on weekends.
