New map? I didnt play this gamemode for like 1 month and didnt read the new updates
No bud, this is actually the first map introduces to coop. And if I'm not mistaken the last update to coop was 4 years ago, unfortunately.
@kage-rts a, ok thx
When p3 Abathur?
What is an abathur?
@@kage-rts "Abathur is a unique zerg creature, created from numerous zerg species. He is the zerg evolution master, serving as the Swarm's DNA library, and resides in the evolution pit." ;)
Librarian?
@@kage-rts Yes
Vorazun is very slow, out of gas, slow upgrade, slow build units, weak shield, weak on anti air, it's really bored and imbalance with other hero, spam too much gate wate, star gate is expensive
Yes, she's slow, which is why she prefers longer maps. On short maps she's gonna hurt. Timestop and black hole is her saving grace. With p3 atleast you can focus on other army while you spam shadow guards and once timestop is on just call them down. At release of coop she was very strong, i don't think anyone got nerf harder than she did, and compared to other commanders her other options are really weak, and require high skill to play. Oracles die in amove and as you said in general her anti air is weak. She's the reason we have rocks on gas gysers.
This is one of my favorite missions of this campaign. No pressure macro mission, most of the tech unlocked, Illidan/Devil Hunter hero, facing unique enemy faction (Satyrs + Demons). Also - bears are really strong. Once you unlock their Bear Form they become basically the best melee fighters in the game. Orc Taurens are slightly stronger, but bears can buff and heal each other which more than makes up the difference. I like to just mass Bears here since they are only weak to enemy air, and there is no air here. Also - you missed a really good item here right at the start. Behind your main in one of the spider sacks are Boots of Quel'thalas, which give +6 agility - extremely good for Illidan here since he is an agility-based hero.
And here i though i explored everything on the map. But im guessing i wont play him anymore, or at least in this campaign since he got outcast. As for the mission, it was certainly very chill compared to the other missions where a lot of pressure.
@@kage-rts Worry not - next mission pressures you from start to finish heh
Great... Just when i starting to get the hang of it... Honestly i don't like elf class.. their really tricky to play
@@kage-rts you will unlock 2 extra units in the next mission, where one of them is my favorite in the game.
new units is always nice :D i'll try to guess which one is, and i have a feeling it will be an air unit :D
47:24 "Ticontrol" hahah.
Word are hard :P
4:32 Friendly Fire KaGe strikes again... and Bears are soo expensive as well.
Hmmm... So early into the game... There is no fire without friendly hehe
Nice Units you had.
What units? XD
@@kage-rts exactly
51:10 The answer was right in front of you. You see - your army is ranged, bird-bois are melee. You can cloak, they can't detect. There is a small bridge between you and them. Any ideas yet? Solution: place a unit or two on the bridge, cloak and then safely kill them from range while your cloaked units bodyblock them.
The obvious isn't always obvious for me. Now that you toldxme about it, makes perfect sense lol
23:38 Yeeah.. you will learn soon enough that while Night Elf dude heroes are epic and awesome, their women are insufferable and annoying heh.
Their insufferable. Makese not want to play with her anymore
@@kage-rts worry not - Stormrage brothers more than make up for their female heroes.
Should i be worried? Hehe
20:25 NOO! Not the Furbolgs!
What can i say? Oops? XD
Nice, you found the Panda - that necklace is one of the best items in the game. Spells are very powerful in this game, having immunity to all negative effects for a hero is HUGE.
Hopefully it will be a big make or break, because i need all the help i can get.
@@kage-rts it will be a huge help for final mission, especially once you unlock Malfurion's lvl6 skill.
Well i can't wait to see what it does
Great of you to get the bonuses, DESPITE the ally...
Bonus patrol is watching hehe
my first run on this mutation the opponent was ling hydra lurker :( I died.
Yeah, line up is very important as well. Depending even on what commander you went with. Usually zerg lineup tends to be the worst because of the amount of units they send. Lurkers tend to be the ones that get buffed.
I can basically see what you did, but could you please post the build order here, at least for the opening?
The build for this is really dynamic. But the most standard is as follows. drone till 14 supply 2xgas 13 drone 14 overlord, 6 drones in gas, spawning pool, 2xdrone 16 baneling nest 15 queen 16 ling speed, overlord from here depending what enemy comp, and what map. if easy rocks, make 2 eggs worth or lings, if not focus on tech instead. 20 baneling speed, overlord inject -> lair 24 expo hatch, overlord, drones and finally when you have enough gas scourge nest. just getting all ling, bane and scoure upgrades asap, then add 2 evos and make more drone, +1 and aberration upgrade first. honestly, depending on what i'm playing against i will either forget or delay scourge nest, but make sure you have fully saturated expo as well, because with injects and ling spaming, you won't have enough minerals most of the time. if you can't really inject, then add a couple of macro hatcheries. the thing is, as i said previously, this build can deviate a lot depending on what the enemy composition is and what mutators we have. for example here, i needed to get more lings out, because of this i make overlord at 13, then drone, then gas and spawning pool. this is so that i don't supply block myself early on. depending again, what mutators are at play, i can either make more for this specific build i think you can better understand when i did the my bots speedrun watch?v=g7N-4WMqtIw
I liked the addition of the aberations, too. Nice to have their damage reduction for you and your ally as well as their big body hp.
Yeah, aberrations are key in keeping your banes and lings alive when you you get hit by a really bad AOE attack. But then again, it's not like you don't have more lings and banes where they came from :)
Oh you this mission was hard? Just you wait for the final mission of this campaign. Yeah this mission is basically an advanced tutorial on "hey - you can move (most) of your base as a Night Elf". Pretty much 4 stages here: 1. Furry genocide - doing the first secondary while grabbing money from two gold mines. 2. Human genocide - destroying and taking their base, probably the hardest part of this mission. 3. Cleansing the Forest of unit-stealing Ghosts - I usually just slow-clear it with heroes + treants, so that they don't steal my units. 4. Satyr genocide - easiest part, since they are pretty weak and you have 5k gold mine there.
Well it is hard, if you don't know what you should be doing. :D After not playing WC for a couple of weeks, and then resuming from "memory" was actually way better, then me actually dropping in blindly in this mission. This whole nightelf mission just gives me terran vibes lol. And specifically the super nova mission.
@@kage-rts I guess the base concept of moving the base forward checks out, though there is nowhere near the same amount of time pressure here. The worst that happens by stalling here are just more Gargoyle attacks.
For some reason my last attempt didnt have that many attack waves. Maybe because i kept moving away
@@kage-rts yeah it seems that the closer you are to the undead base, the more likely for them to attack. So the second gold mine is probably the worst position.
12:30 Not just you heh. Thankfully you have unlocked Malfurion Stormrage - every R in his name stands for grape without the G. You will understand by the end of the campaign.
Is this gonna be something that I'll totally forget about, because I don't know the reference, lol? From the hint you gave me, I'm guessing Malfurion will be really good.
@@kage-rts oh yes he will be.
Yeah this mission is definitely one of the harder ones, at least if you want to actually destroy the Orc base. Nice to see you eventually figured out that good ol' runby is the way here. It probably is possible to destroy the Orc base on the highest difficulty, but it would require some EXTREMELY good macro and micro. Just running by is the best option - nothing to be gained by destroying it aside from satisfaction of a full-clear.
Yeah, I tried that in a run where its sped up and no comment. Because i was like. Dude i must focus no commenting. And i was sort of close.. but not really. My initial plan was to cloack and not aggro them, shot something clock. Rinse and repeat. But just running through it was the best option indeed.
That moment when a Snickers commertial almost cost you your army/game..
Lol. You're not you when you're hungry
Probably the most careful coop game I played since Malwareprops... great that we managed to pull through! Especially since just one bad Orbital Strike would end it.
I have no idea how, but we did manage to beat it :D
Checkout full video. th-cam.com/video/WfX0_QvChbU/w-d-xo.html
Short... Really short... But it had everything we needed to know! Thanks Kage!
My disappointment is immeasurable.. and my day is ruined.
You're disappointed that you didn't know the trick, right? :D
I 😂 I actually love this! Straight to the point!
Great job squaring up to S-tier P2 Tychus as F-tier P1 Zagara with equal kills!
Squaring lol. Barely managed to do a 40% haha
@@kage-rts at the end it says 50%/50%...
Ok then i don't remember the correct game. Gg for. me I guess? :D
you're supposed to fight hybrids with zerglings to save gas. banelings are for everything else.
I was, wasn't I? Hehe It's hard when your a master at amoving and you have a ptsd from this stupid mutstion like i have :D
@@kage-rts I noticed you weren't doing that in the early game when you said you were short on gas. Zagara is definitely one of the worst commanders for this mutation because of the splitter banes (they feed a lot and don't do much damage)
I would tend to disagree here. in this replay i was doing a really bad job, but i don't remember if i talked about this here that i should be using lings to kill hybrids. I definitely mentioned this on stream at one point, but i was just really tunnel visioning. Do as I say, not what I do, I guess :) As for the banelings, ideally i would have killed every unit except hybrids and if only ground hybrid remains just use lings to kill. But i tend to panic a lot, and on this particular mutation when i initially played it i had a really rough time. now the question is, is she for everyone? No. She definitely won't be a fit for everyone. If you engage poorly, you just keep on feeding. The reason i only used banelings is to try and not feed as much as i could, and as you said splitters, are not ideal. Even I wouldn't put her in top5, but zagara is the only commander i actually managed to win relatively with ease, back in the days and now as well. First try as they say. Now if I where to take into consideration average players, they would need a lot more hatcheries, since they don't use queen inject at all, and even so by late game, she tends to run out of juice, and has to rely on ally for support. She can become a really bad feeder if you initiate a bad engagement. With all this in mind I would still not place her dead last, simply because she can recover really fast. If you have the apm and not using p1, you can do bile launchers to soften up the enemy, potentialy leaving only the hybrids that as we have discussed should be dealing with the hybrids. We can't just simply ignore her insane burst damage. Both banes and scourge. Though scourge are even worse at feeding.
@@kage-rts in the early game, you created hybrids every time you tried to attack. you only got out of the jam because your ally was tychus, who is really strong. i dont think that's a sign of a good commander. the splitter banes kept feeding. and you can use bile launchers even if you're p1.
I mean that's honestly why i play coop. To have an ally in case i mess up. You may know, solo ain't my thing. Average player won't be soloing, same as me. It's impressive what you do, but i'm not really able to pull of your strats. About bile launchers, on p1 i usuallt tend to be really aggressive and as a result mineral starved more so then gas starved, because i spam lings and don't have resources for bile launchers
Had issues with max mastery P0s back in the day, 1st tried it with lvl4 Tychus now - one skill issue resolved heh.
Lol. Many more to come. Right?
even normalized I still feel sick
Can you guess how i was when i edited it? Lol
False advertising with the initial message - I had a blast playing Vertigo and won 8 games already.
Where false advertisement? I said i tried t9 normalize as best as i could lol. Also you're super human, vertigo doesnt affect you. We meer mortals arent good with it :D
@@kage-rts "This mutation is a pain in the butt" - wasn't in mine..
Well you're just more resiliant :D
just so you know, recent videos have been titled triple threat when they should be world on fire
Holy crap, i forgot to change them. Thank you mate. I was in a hurry and didn't check my copy pasting skills :)
KaGe, can't wait to see what you'll create next
Hopefully, something good XD. With a lot of enjoyable moments. And mostly me getting wrecked in coop ;)
Bro this game was a pure Swann destroyer.
Did i destroy swann? Lol
@@kage-rts Yes
Why play Mengsk at all then..
There is no specific reason :D ESO bad... ESO too op.
@@kage-rts None of the masteries really buffs ESOs though..
But you don't need eso early on. I think i only got eso here because i wanted the top bar to work as well.
@@kage-rts my point is - you can use masteries and just NOT get ESOs lol. ESOs are way more OP than any or all masteries he has.
Oh yeah i see what you mean. But the point of this wasnt really eso, but more like making every unit and upgrade, or at least trying
Imagine if you could mass-produce those Hydralisks... they have the damage that is close to Dragons heh.
Just getting like 6 of them could win you a lot of coop games :D
That was indeed a weird glitch with the level-up, never had it happen to me before.
I should have probably reloaded a save there... But it can't be that bad though, can it?
Yeah Archers are more of a support/high skill unit and not a brute-force frontliner like Grunts or Footmen. You need to position them well and focus down enemy targets one by one, or at least have some tankier frontliners tank the damage for them. At least they are dirt-cheap and easily massed, so that's an upside.
I've noticed that the8r cheap, you can easily replace them. But man you need to micro them properly if you want to actually win with them
25:55 Skill issue.
KagertMoustache
No P1.. I am taken aback, I am disgusted, and dare I say - appalled.
LOL. Unfortunately, I tried out a pee-prestige... The outrage :D
At least KaGe doesent fall asleep here.
Not yet... Lol
@@kage-rtsyes yet.
Yeah this one can be a bit of a pain at the start, but once you fortify it's pretty fun. The fact that we get to face basically a stronger version of our faction is nice. Also - a lot of ways to do this mission: - cheese by sending Thrall with Necklace of Spell Immunity right after start of the mission, - run-by with a hitsquad to steal Grom, - clear one of the bases to make way, - clear entire map (like you did). Personally I like to make a maxed out army of Wind Riders and use them to slowly tear apart bases with hit and run attacks.
I'm pretty sure if I would replay this, I would try a cheesy way. What im theorising, if i can just get thrall to steal grom, and he dies. I could just revive him, since grom is already in the orb. Would be nice with some zepplins as well, if they where any. I was commited to clear all the map, but if I wouldnt yave done that there is a possibility I wouldnt have take 2h to clear the mission lol
@@kage-rts I'm not sure if Thrall dying with Soulgem'd Grom would work, never tried it.
There is a first time for everything lol
38:44 "Man, these guys are awesome but they're... they're really annoying, ok?" - the Dreadlord's lvl6 ability is able to summon one of those bad boys right on top of the enemy army, and he can upkeep the Infernal all the time since he lasts 3 minutes and cooldown is also 3 minutes.
You up keep it with healing, right? Every ultimate i played so far didnt seem that op to me. But this might ultimate might be interesting to try out.
@@kage-rts yes, when you play as Undead you can heal the Infernal with Death Coil of Death Knight and it also benefits from Dread lord's Vampiric Aura (makes melee units leech life on attack).
Yeaahhh... Seems the best ultimate
@@kage-rts Yeaahh.. I did mention before that (standard) Dreadlord is the ONLY hero type from the main factions you won't get to use in the campaigns right? You will control one in a later campaign however that one will have modified skillset, including the ultimate skill. So - if you want to chuck down an Infernal you will have to play the skirmish as an Undead..
Yes, I do remember. And I know I'll have to dive into the skirmish part to test it out. Honestly after thr campaigns I might just do that
not sure what's happening to me but as soon as I get rid of the 3rd support base a huge wave of air force comes in and attack my bases and that causes me to loose the game in brutal mode. but in this video that does not happens. wonder why?
There is an unclear timer. Rescue high security prisoner. That is the timer for the infernal infinite wave, which you can't kill. I tried to max out, sit at the base and you get obliterated. You have to hurry up on this mission. LE: I recommend destroying the middle right base first, because you can get air units by taking control hangers, and then clearing the other 2 bases and bonus as well.
You can somewhat cheese the map, by getting a maxed out army of scouts, exo and lancers then go on crushing it. th-cam.com/video/tAA19jNZOW8/w-d-xo.html
ok. ill try it with out cheese. for me the wave comes always between 25 to 26 min (this is after observing this for 8 games) where I usually get the 3rd base cleared out in the 23 to 24 time.
omg this is easy. 😄 the main mistake that I did was to fight the large air force to defend the bases. what should have done is with my full army go straight to the 4th base and kick as of the stupid giant enemy. he goes down within seconds if you have an army value of 150 with fully upgraded stuff. well at least that is what happened to me. I will post a video in my channel for all 3 missions in brutal mode. 👍
Lol. Yeah, once you know the gimmicks its easier. GJ
The corners of the mouths look weird during the animations.
I'm pretty sure, the animation isn't final, but it would have been nice, if there was a banner that says not final rendering. She isn't properly animated in a lot of places.
Nice and clean - no caffeine.
Obviously. :)
Nice
i should try mutations i never had the balls to try it
You should definitely try it out. My recomendation. Get in a party with a friend, and try out different things. There are some mutstions that are thedious, but there are ones that are really cool as well.
give it a shot, once you have decent commanders and their prestiges, mutation can be super fun even when you play with randoms. Though it can be annoying when your teammate doesn't know what he's doing (happens a lot with Raynor players)
@@shepherdlavellen3301 i play Karax and Zeratul so i might be able to win a mutation if i go fast enough because i usually go for upgrades first on Karax
@@failing244 for this week, Karax doesn't work well because you need to be mobile and destroy void crystals before enemy spawns overrun your base. Zeratul can teleport around the map and deal with them quickly, especially with P3, but he can't carry the match
@@shepherdlavellen3301 honestly, full defense is more chill. karax + swann can take their time defending and slowly pushing, while not worrying about a lot of the stuffs.
Tried the game a few days ago and returned it after 20 minutes of playing PvP. The graphic is really ugly and more as that, it makes no fun for me.
Unfortunately, its the truth. Besides unit responsiveness, the game is a total letdown. I had high hopes for the game, but the truth is rather harsh. I have trouble distinguishing between buildings, units. In coop there is always a mix of different enemy composition, which tend to screw you over sometimes. General gameplay feels lacking as well. Also lets not forget the abundancy of microtransactions.
This is a fun no-build mission. I usually just solo most the top part with Thrall and his wolves, at most casting Bloodlust on him and healing him with Wards. A lot of secrets to be found as well. Speaking of which - you missed the hungry, hungry lizard. In Cairne's side you can find a neutral lizard that keeps eating the mushroom trees - once it eats through it it explodes, but opens the path to a secret item for you to get.
Indeed it was a fun no build mission. At 9ne point I did see that soloing with hero was possible. Regarding the lizard, is it by any chance the one on low ground? After reload, i killed that lizard before the golem fights, but i'm not sure we're talking about the same lizard
@@kage-rts yes it was I think in the corner of the map on the low ground - it does not attack you when you approach, it just keeps eating trees. What you have to do is find it, let it eat trees (you can go and clear some enemies in that time) and then the path is open to get the item!
I don't remember, but i dont think i let it explode on itself
27:16 Well.. not THAT nice - if you beat those kobolds in combat instead of using the spikes they would drop a great item.
Hmmm... Thats interesting. So its something like a trial of somesort.
About the locked gate at the top of the map - all you had to do was to break the gate south of it and there was the key to it... You can see the gate in the bottom left corner of the screen at 12:04.
I couldnt just take it that the mission was over and i couldnt get the gate. So i reloaded an autosave and did get the items.
@@kage-rts yeah I noticed later on. In that case I fully agree with that decision - unlike very unrewarding and sometimes risky bonus in SC2 coop, getting all the items you can is so fun and often rewarding here. The fact that items persist between missions makes for great progression.
Honestly it was a great decision, because i forgot another item for caire as well. Lol
