Hey Baegle, I just found out about Austin's passing today. (I feel bad for learning about it this late.) Just like you, he was a major part of my childhood. Where SMB inspired to make videos in high school, Austin got me interested in comedy and skits. He was a genius creator, better than smosh and we were lucky to see how good he was at his craft. He also looked like the nicest guy, and he was someone I looked up to when I was a middle schooler watching his videos. I'm starting to get the fire to make videos again and he is one major inspiration that's helping me move forward. He's going to be missed, but he will be remembered along with his work. In his short life, he moved thousands of people like you and me to either be passionate about filmmaking or just having a laugh. Let's never forget how incredible he was to us. Thank you for making this video, I was contemplating about making a video to tribute him and his work and I felt the same way did as you mentioned at the beginning.
@@zacharysaguilar I’m so happy if I was able to offer some form of comfort or inspiration for you! Thank you for your comment. Austin was a terrible loss.
@@StupidBeagleReviews he was and yes it did, thank you. Also, thank you for replying to my comment.
It helped save my life.
Joaquin Phoenix is a good actor, but Gaga is not a good actor. And I didn’t like her in the movie. She was so disappointed. Maybe the movie was a musical? I don’t know I believe the movie would been better without her .
I think the overall problem is the weird direction and specially that ending. They should've go with not making clear if Arthur was stabbed or it's just a metaphor
@@Omarsh1692 I didn’t think him getting stabbed was a metaphor at all. Arthur Fleck literally dies at the end. I’ve never hear this interpretation before, interesting.
@@StupidBeagleReviews sorry english isn't my first language. Im saying that they should've made it an open ending were we don't see he was literally unlived by a random immate. Maybe we could've just seen arthur hearing the joke by a similar voice to his, then getting stabbed and when the camera does a full shot we see a glimpse of someone using the joker suit going away dancing while he lays on the floor. So we could take that as a metaphor of ARthur's ending and the birth of joker as a full personality.
As an incel, this movie was unenjoyable. In the first movie, I felt Arthur was striking back on behalf of all his fellow losers. But in this movie, it seems like everything goes bad for people like him. It makes incel seem like losers.
Hearing of Austin’s passing broke my heart. Randumb productions was one of the channels that inspired me to create. I’m a filmmaker now, and actually make my living in the field now. And to this day, the randumb guys were like the biggest celebrities to me and my sister growing up.
@@averagejoefilmsofficial I love Randumb Productions! Honestly I made this video years ago so I don’t even remember if I talked about that channel much here. I should have though! Richalvarez was my gateway to all his work. I was so grateful to be able to talk with him, even if it was over Instagram messenger.
review starts at 8:14 , thank me later
@@targetlocked3401 This video is 7 years old, but you’re right, my younger self really let that opening skit drag on 😂
Manny in that terrible diary of a wimpy kid long haul movie looks a 2 year old infant baby.
I love the first 3 movies of diary of wimpy greg looks like he is 11-13 year old those movies. But im glad i never watched the 4th movie long haul, because greg in this one looks like a 9 year old.
As a musician like Lady Gaga is, voice acting is something you can pick up easy from singing if you've had a good music teacher, mostly this comes from metal vocals but its not required. But full on acting is a whole different thing to music. Dancing for a music video is not acting. It can count a little bit, but you really need to make it believable and play a character, not pose for an art project. I think this is where most musicians fail when they want to start a new career. They need more classes. I mean look at Jared Leto and his cringe moments. I'm not saying musicians can't become actors, but they do need to step it up a little. Voice acting for cartoons or anime, is a musician's best bet if they take classes. Not this.
Great movie that bunch of people shit on to feel cool because they read a review somewhere and cant formulate thier own opinion. Film required a level of maturity, empathy and an attention span people these days sorely lack.
@@o-shawnspecific80 I had a friend who didn’t like it but he was COMPLETELY reasonable and cool about it. He’s also very intelligent and isn’t against weird movies, it’s just that this one didn’t work for him and he had a lot of good reasons why. Unfortunately those people seem rare, especially on the internet. I hate the echo chamber of “this is the worst movie ever and you’re stupid for liking it”. We need to be able to have civil conversations like human beings.
@StupidBeagleReviews agreed. Sorry for being Jaded, people get me there with foolishness. Strongest points of the film. His mental illness is proven several times. Lapses in memory, placing himself in fantasy to escape a terrible reality, a laugh the result of a fabricated story by his mother and a nervous tick...and as best put by his lawyer, a persona created to protect the mind of a traumatized child. The Joker is not so much an alternate personality as it is simply the worst Arthur is capable of - Carl Jung's The Shadow. Which is his true self is hard to say. The Shadow is the self you don't show others, the one locked up..waiting to be free. "I am free." Was what was really meant by that statement. Also. We assume the possibility of Lee being imaginary because his relationship with Sophie was... it can be difficult to to understand how Lee was able to move so freely through Arkham. Like the scene where she visits Arthur in his cell.. unlikely...but not impossible and proven to be real through her claimed pregnancy. Most likely the guard that said Arthurs signature would be worth money after he fries felt bad enough or was a big enough fan of Arthur's to let Lee in. He was the gate guard. However she isn't the one in Arthur's head if you ask me. The kid is. The young inmate that "kills" Arthur. Ever notice he's 100% of the time directly behind Arthur? Like a Shadow?
for me this movie hit me at the perfect time in my life, just like the first one did, I would say both are 10/10 but I actually think Joker 2 is better and might be my favorite movie of all time.
@@lunarlad8075 I love that. I hope you’re able to be loud and proud about it, and if anyone bullies you, just know that none of their words matter. I want to rewatch it, I think I said in the video that I might like it even more a second time. It’s still a movie that I think about a lot.
I think this really was the genius of it. Making joker fans in the movie and audiences alike abandon Arthur. Both did'n t care for him, they only wanted the Joker. It was a logical continuation of the story. Arthur was a man-child, an incel living with his mom, having no life experience, having a brain injury and most likely what they called "low IQ" in Joker 2. How should Arthur ever become this genius clown prince of crime everybody wanted to see. Almost sounds like... a delusion.
@@monikaengelsfeld686 oh absolutely. In The Dark Knight, Heath Ledger’s Joker is incredibly smart. He’s an insane monster but he’s also a genius, and that’s what makes him so scary. Heath’s Joker would laugh at Arthur and kick his ass. Arthur never could’ve been the clown prince of crime. Even after seeing the first film, I struggled to picture a world where Arthur would become the Joker from the comics, it was never about that.
@@StupidBeagleReviewsRight. Sooo why do these movies exist?
It doesn't matter if someone is being an asshole or not, they are still allowed to have an opinion.
@@rototiller345 Everyone is allowed to have an opinion. But I think it’s pretty basic knowledge that being an asshole is a bad thing.
Aren't there enough smart and crazed lunatics out there to compel them to do it over again for free? Kind of like when a kid does some shitty homework last minute.
Tod Phillips’s story is the origin of the joker symbol. Which is probably how a supper villain would manifest in the real world. You could do something similar with Batman. Bruce Wane becomes I vengeful vigilante because of the trauma he experienced has a kid and he has a hatred for anyone that plays a apart in the joker movement.
@@bennconner1195 For sure. Todd Phillips said he’s done making DC films though, so I don’t see that happening, especially with how poorly received this one was critically and financially. I think that’s fine, it ended in a good place.
The Joker is an image obsessed narcissist; he would never base his identity off of someone else.
Personally, I really didn't like it, but after this I can see why people like it and I think that's ok. I'm happy people are able to find qualities in it where I couldn't. I do like the movie mildly more after having watched this cause you pointed out a couple things I hadn't noticed or thought about until you mentioned them.
That’s perfect, that’s what I was hoping for. Thank you for your comment.
The beginning definitely happened to me, I saw this about 3 weeks ago and it still hasn’t left my mind, definitely need to give it another watch, I personally give it a 7/10
Yes! Totally agree.
You know, I did see Joker (2019) movie before this, but it was a long time ago and didn't remember much about it. But I did see Joker 2, and liked it on it's own. And hey, if you don't care about the Joker and Harley's character, (which is understandable seeing that these are completely new takes on the two) it could act as an interesting perspective on mental health. I know that the scenes where he was crying and laughing sure as hell made me cry
@@Sonicspeeed35 right, it’s a completely unique and different interpretation, and I don’t have an issue with that. Like I said in the video, I’d much rather see something like this than just another generic superhero movie going through the corporate conveyer belt of content.
This guy is consistent and puts in the work, subscribe like i did he deserves the boost
@@doomerquiet1909 omg thank you. That made my day.
Ah yes tipical of Hollywood to finally make a good movie then ruin it by making a sequel.
You know, I envy your sane and straight forward response instead of my balh..blah.. producer was probably on derangement special. sauce that week. Some of us have social learning difficulties but we try.
Cut out all the musical shit and it wasn't a bad movie LOL I just watched it and fast forwarded through all the music and I actually liked it. The idea of the ending being Heath Ledger's Joker is kind of cool
@@billdelfera8580 Hey that’s totally fair! I really liked the musical elements a lot, but it’s fine if you don’t.
Without the music parts (it's not exactly a musical), how will Joker revel himself to Arthur's mind? We see Arthur daydream through the music.
Joker randomly killed his friend from the clown school, that guy didn’t do anything to Arthur did he? I can’t remember
@@natesquibb3368 Randall gave him a gun, and then when Arthur got in trouble for it when it slipped out of his pocket at a children’s hospital, Randall denied ever giving Arthur the gun and ratted him out. Arthur then got fired from his job. Randall was also a bully, treating both Arthur and Gary badly. Obviously Arthur was an idiot for bringing the gun into a hospital, but he still blamed Randall for getting him fired, and decided to kill him.
Nate!! This turned out so well, I'm so glad you got the opportunity to make a longer production and also follow up on some of your older work. Your sense of timing and editing with the humor was super on point, there were several scenes that had me cackling out loud and skipping back to rewatch several times. I also think the performances here were really great, job well done to everyone and you for drawing those performances out from your cast! Can't wait to see what comes next for you!

I was just watching Stupid Mario Bros. bloopers when I just came across the news. My heart is crushed right now. One of the funniest characters in the show. I feel so empty. I had no idea…
Today as i type this (8/19/2024) i found out Austin has been gone for almost 4 years now. As a teenager, i discovered Austin through his various comedy videos on TH-cam through RanDumbProd and also Richalvarez's Stupid Mario series. Austin and Dane were always the biggest laughs in any video where they were featured. For some reason i decided to revisit the RanDumbProd channel and i discovered through the comments that Austin had passed. He was so funny and brought so many smiles to myself and my friend group. RIP Austin, I'll always remember your mark you left on this earth.
Just said movie instead of show.
Shout out Jim Shields. He was also my teacher in high school. Rip Eric

I was introduced to the hobbit cartoon movie first then the masterpiece trilogy
You did a great job on this video! Wish you more followers and views!
I liked the Sauron bits :D
There were obviously 2 orc armies. Azog from dol guldur and bolg from mount gundabad. How could anyone not get that?
@@NZealand I did get that, I just didn’t feel like listing every possible 5th army. Also, Azog’s army isn’t in the book, so I knew his army probably wasn’t the 5th army being referred to. It literally wasn’t necessary for me to bring up. Thanks for the nice comment!
@@StupidBeagleReviews but you were asking if the fifth army was the eagles or if there was suppose to be two dwarf armies as if you didn’t know
@@NZealand I was making the observation that it could be confusing for audiences. The movie never makes it completely clear. I also genuinely thought the eagles were the fifth army because that’s what the cartoon says, and that stuck in my mind. I didn’t realize the cartoon was wrong until later. It’s been a while since I’ve read the book, maybe I should’ve researched that the book says “wild wolves”. Even so, it shouldn’t matter, I was just observing how the title easily could confuse people who are watching these movies without reading the book.
Hey, I liked your video but I have a few notes: Tol-keen not Tolkin, Smowg not Smog. And you should have reread the book.
I have a busy life outside making these videos so it’s difficult to find time to read an entire book just for this one video. I get what you’re saying though, and that’s just how I always pronounced those names, I probably won’t break the habit even if I tried
