I watched this episode again today and i just love this scene and I repeat it 4 times 😂😂 it gets funnier every time
I can just imagine Luke noticing when Sookie's hand landed on his butt right away, recognizing that it wasn't intentional, and then awkwardly not mentioning it while he waited for Sookie to just move away because he didn't want to embarass her. Only to be embarassed himself when Sookie realized what had happened and decided to tell everyone .xD

Minimizers will downplay the terrible behavior of people they identify with, regardless of the stated facts of the matter. The object of the harassment has come out and stated exactly how he felt, but women right here have responded with comments that he's not genuine and/or that it's not that big of a deal because its something something cognitive dissonance that a bad thing happened in the history of something they loved. You people are no better than good old boys that perpetuate whitewashings of history, justify the harassment of women everywhere and are ultimately worse than any of these types of oblivious transgressors - you have reason to know better, but when the time came to be better, you instead chose to be worse. You people are the problem.
I'm just here after reading an article about the actor that plays Luke, and how uncomfortable and objectified he felt filming this scene. It still bothers him so much after all these years. He said this is the worst moment for him on this show, this scene. I mean o respect him, and feel bad that he felt that way, and for so long, I guess I just don't understand how he felt. But glad he commented on the fact that he's doing better about it.

That's adorable. :} For one, it's acting, playing a role, saying things you don't necessarily feel or think. Two, get over it, don't care what people think and move on with your life. Something he obviously couldn't do given he's still 'butt'hurt to this day.

Here after hearing about how Scott Patterson felt objectified because of the butt talk. To be honest, I expected it to be much worse. I mean, the writing was silly, sure, but at least his character was able to tell them to stop? But he did mention that the jokes continued off camera and while he was uncomfortable, he didnt feel like he could say anything. I understand that feeling. So, I hope people dont come to this video to try and minimize his feelings, because he's the only one who can say how it made him feel. 🤷🏿♀️

I mean, Gilmore Girls wasn't exactly award winning programming, and it's not like he went on to more prestigious work. If it made him uncomfortable, his feelings are valid just like anyone else's, but he started to lose me when he got to the possible career ramifications.
look I cannot speak on behind the scenes, but I think that the actual scene was played out really well. The actor himself shows his discomfort with it as he does with most anything, the character Luke is very voice full about his opinion, as are most of them. The thing I like about the scene is.. if it WERE a female and this had accidentally happened the female would have automatically assumed the butt touch was on purpose and if it was two guys involved it would have been blown way out of proportion to what it was, however, the way they played it out here, shows that you can be honest about what happened in the situation while joking about it to make it less weird. I say that BC if it were me (guy or girl) I’d feel pretty off if someone didn’t say anything or didn’t try to make it funny, and two people were talking about my butt behind my back. So I think the scene showed what maturity amongst adults can look like, our society however has screwed up most chances of people thinking logically and critically, and that’s the only problem I see here. It’s a well written scene if you ask me.

So apparently Scott Patterson is mad at this scene and finally voiced his displeasure. I never watched the show so watching that clip to see what all the fuss was about was an experience... I will say the writing was painful and the scene was just dumb. But, (no pun intended) he needs to get the fuck over it because he was hardly objectified especially compared to what actresses have to deal with much more often. A lot of actors have it worse in scenes where they have no shirt on/wearing a speedo or something so at least he was wearing a shirt and baggy jeans that showed NOTHING so wtf? I expected it to be much worse so he needs to take a chill pill and let this 20+ year experience go.

Love this, their story is perfect. The more I watch it the more I think it all happened for a reason. Their story parells so much, first they broke up because of Christopher who was Rory's dad, then because of Anna and April. Their ex's and ulitimly their past lives broke them up, Lorelai had to let Christopher go and realise him in the background was going to always be something that breaks them up if she doesnt set him free, Luke had to learn how to share his life with someone else, and learn to trust Lorelai again because I dont think he fully trusted her with Christioher in the background. They both married people they didnt love on a cruise and had short unhappy marriages, and only after all that could they have their happily ever after.
One of my favorite songs for my favorite couple, I adore them so much, I don't like all the choices made for their story but I think their love is so much deeper because of it, they are so amazing.
I hope at the begining the shot was really him and his butt and not a stand ins. I paused it just so i could check it out 😂🤣😂🤣 loved this scene.. and later when Sookie shows him thr wedding cake topper n comments how its his butt the cake topper guy has 😂🤣😂🤣

Chris wasn't gonna do anything. Even if he was sober, he wasn't gonna do anything I would of been terrified of Luke. I would be like "YES SIR" to Luke. Luke has always been the better father. He treat April like he had known her for years and he always treated Rory like his own.
