We are Maarten & Marly and we ride bikes for fun. We occasionally make videos about our cycling adventures. We are currently training towards MALLORCA 312 2022.
MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT TRIATHLON 😵
This year has been quite different than the previous years. Cycling hasn't been our main passion and we started exploring different sports as well. Last weekend I did my first attempt at a 1/4 triathlon.

Just came across this. Brought back memories. I wasn't able to complete the entire Marmotte but managed to complete every climb same for Huez which was my goal. I stopped for too many Pizzas and ice cream so missed the cutoff to continue onto Huez by about 15 minutes. Still did 13,000 feet of climbing apx more than I have ever done or will ever do. Glad to see I'm not the only one who finds these races both beautiful and difficult.

7:37 I have this same shoe (cx219). A very handy tip to close the forefoot more, without tightening the instep near the Boa, is to pull on the cable when the boa is open, at the bottom, between the two cable guides. Then create a figure 8 (i.e. twist) with this excess loop and thread it into the lower cable guide. You will have a loop at the bottom of the shoe, between these cable guides, and when you tighten the Boa, the extra friction of the two cables going through the cable guide will cinch up the lower part of the shoe, while allowing you to adjust the upper part as you like. Using this method, there is little difference in fit compared to the two Boa model shoes.

We are so happy with our Lake shoes! We never have any issues with sleeping or sore feet anymore! Besides, we are also really happy with the quality of the shoes!

Well done. Got to admit I do not get the point of doing the crazy big sportives and not getting to ride the climbs / key points due to sheer numbers of people. Would rather go on my own at another time and ride the route for the achievement solo.

Hi, we trained with our trainer Dennis Jongste from loadmeup.nl He made a nice program for us. For the rest we really didn’t do that much in terms of yoga, diet, etc!

We really like to be in Alcudia! We had several hotels there. We can also really recommend bike villas if you don’t want to be in a hotel.

Dankjewel! Deze Zipp wielen zijn 60mm hoog. Ik heb een klimset maar moet eerlijk bekennen dat ik die bijna nooit gebruik. Nee alles op 10-28 gefietst, was prima te doen!
