Blazing Fury - Dark Ride/Roller Coaster POV - Dollywood
Blazing Fury is a classic dark ride/roller coaster that was constructed in the 1970s at Dollywood. It's a great, fun ride and it's wonderful that the park maintains it as well as they do.

Tipsy House Walkthrough: Arnolds Park Amusement Park Funhouse Attraction
มุมมอง 31หลายเดือนก่อน
This unique version of a funhouse sits above the station of the historic "Legend" roller coaster at Arnolds Park Amusement Park. Virtually every classic funhouse in the country has been demolished, including one at this very park. This, while not a true funhouse, is one of the last originals left and dates back to 1930.
Laysan Island Cyclorama: Incredible Bird Exhibit at University of Iowa Natural History Museum

The Laysan Island Cyclorama replicates conditions on Laysan Island, located far to the west of the main Hawaiian Islands, in the early 1900s. Three species shown here are now extinct, while several others dipped to extremely-low numbers. I may never get to Laysan Island, but it seems spectacular and this is definitely the next closest thing.

Jeff Sipe drummed with Aquarium Rescue Unit and Jimmy Herring's solo projects, but has played with just about everyone. Mike Seal used to play with Jerry Douglas, and Taylor Lee has played with Oteil Burbridge. Collectively, this group is full of some serious talent.

The audio-animatronic, which was the most advanced in the world when it premiered, has been replaced and updated through the years but the overall show is remarkably similar to how it was originally.

    For the past few decades, the dark rides at the SC State Fair have been underwhelming. We are one of the last stops of the season and by the time they get to us, most of the dark ride "tricks" have stopped working. They only get repaired in the off-season. You'll need to find a fair or festival in the late spring /early summer months to experience a fully operational dark ride with all the bells & whistles.

Terroride has been remodeled well, still using most of the original components. Dracula’s castle is in great shape and mostly original- and, yes, the rotating tunnel is a component, but I’ve yet to see it work 😂. An Alstom "Citadis type" light rail system would be an adequate formula for a controlled budget. Many cities in Europe operate this type of small partially underground network in the center. I am thinking of Rouen, Normandie a city of 500,000 inhabitants, for example. In the construction of a rail network, the most expensive part is the infrastructure. In the case of Cincinnati, they already exist. Even if it is necessary to do a lot of upgrading, there is not the structural work inherent in burying the network. I don't understand why a metropolitan area like Cincinnati can't fund a network that many smaller French cities can easily fund. Cincinnati's density is perfect for a network of this type.

    • @peterkleinhenz
      @peterkleinhenz ปีที่แล้ว

      I fully agree. I feel like light rail is something so many people of all kinds of backgrounds could get behind. But, since it is unlikely to provide a corporation with massive profits, it is unlikely to happen in this country.
