@@bouncingplaces I live in Jamaica. We have washers in homes here and some even have dryers but some, like myself, don't as the original construction did not include the facilities to have a washer. This has to be put in place. Our wash sink does not have a concrete wash board type sink like the one you used. Those of us that wash by hand use a washing brush when washing and it is quite exhausting especially when sheets, pillowcases, curtains and towels are included in the wash day. We are not behind the times like some ppl in other parts of the world may think. I have a friend who chooses to wash by hand even though there is a washer in his home.

I want to come back and get a local experience 😊 Ifeel for you and that's incredible you have to do all those big sheets and curtains. I never even thought about those. That would take forever to get the soap out. Does your friend not use his machine to save money? Or just preference

We weren't sure about Laos but after looking into it we definitely want to take the boat to Luang Prabang. We have no itinerary, and just want to go at our own pace. What was your favourite place in Laos?

@cynthiahounsome635 Amazong! Yes take the slow boat into Laos. I took it from Chiang Khong after Thailand. Please watch my 2 videos on the 2 day slow boat down the Mekong River. I'm heading back to Vietnam and Cambodia next year! Luang Prabang was my favorite part of Laos. It's a little more modern and developed. There is an amazing waterfall if you rent a bike. I also made a video at the waterfalls! Vang Vieng is second best in my opinion and Vientian was alright for a couple days. Hope that helps. Anything else feel free to reach out! Safe travels 😎 👍
