I’m excited to see what new content this game could bring
This boss is so badly designed. Bruh, the fucker doesn't go down on the floor with a tds +4, a puppet axe +10, a holy sword +5 etc. A lot of players have met the same issue. He fall for some but not other. Also, for me he doesn't stay like you described it. I hit once and stomped to oblivion.
That sucks he was tough for me at first, I guess I just lucked out.
Definitely skill issue, even if it takes you longer to knock him down his attacks are so blatantly telegraphed they're not hard to dodge and keep wailing on the leg

Using the flamethrower arm also is very useful as it is continual damage and can stagger as well as not taking stamina which helps with shock
