Main Series Only If a game is missing a SFX/jingle its because it doesn't exist. Fe4 is the castle seized jingle. Main Series Only If a game is missing a SFX, it's because it doesn't exist. Have to specify this is from a distance, as in the modern games there's a different sfx that plays if you attack someone with the lightning sword up clse.

Tried to get a SFX of it hitting but like....That was kind of annoying lol. Then I thought about it and....Well...In normal gameplay you are normally going to hear the eclipse tome SFX paired with the miss SFX, so it felt more right to upload the tome missing SFX instead.

A cool challenge for sure! Would it not have made your life a lot easier to just wait out the reinforcements though? You can just block the spawn points for the soldiers, end turn until turn 60, and then you don't have to worry about them when trying to break through to the escape room. I could be missing something, but I don't see anything in your rules for why that wouldn't be allowed. Also kudos for pronouncing Leif's name correctly. I don't know why, but that's the one FE name-related hill I am committed to dying on.
Also for my two cents regarding savestates: I think it's good that you're avoiding them for a challenge like this because having to adapt to variance/plan strategies around it is an important part of Fire Emblem and I do think it lessens the impact of challenge runs to use save states for rigging or to replay turns and finesse the outcomes. But for something like the Lifis con level up on turn 2, where you're just repeating the same set of actions over and over again until you get an acceptable result, I don't think it would've affected my appreciation for the effort you put into the run if you had chosen to drop a save state there. Obvi you gotta play like you wanna play, but in case an opinion from the audience is enough to convince you to save yourself some headache, there you go.
@@Oblivion776 yea on the savestate thing I agree, I think for the future any rng related stuff like resetting for level ups I’ll use save states to save on some pain….. I should’ve mentioned it in the video, but the reason I didn’t block the soldier spawn points is because ironically enough as much as they made things harder, I also wanted them to spawn because they all come with vulnearies, and I really did need as many vulnearies as possible for ch5 The only vulnearies that are free are the one machuya starts with, that soldier you can steal one from at the very beginning, and a chest. The other vulnearies are on those two armors which are a little more risky to try and steal when trying to avoid capture. (I also couldn’t have more end up in chests via Leif/lithis inventory because I was pretty much out in ch3 besides the ones I needed to keep in Tanya/dagdars inventory). That was where my mindset was at the time. Tho looking back, the strategy I had in mind for ch5 was…..a bit rough…so yea ultimately maybe blocking the spawn points and finding a way to steal the armors vulns was probably the much smarter and easier thing to do….There was probably a much easier way I could’ve gone about beating ch5 lmao. Even so, I’m still happy things played out the way they did, as while the soldiers spawning did make things harder, it also made things much more fun and interesting overall imo.
@@woltsvault6698 Ah, that does make sense, you did say you needed vulneraries but I didn't piece that together. I guess it would've been easier to block off 3/4 of the spawn points and just farm the soldiers one at a time, but that also sounds like it would be an absolute chore to do over again if you lost a run, so understandable. And plus you're definitely right that it was a way more interesting clear this way. Definitely looking forward to whatever masochistic nonsense you put yourself through in chapter 5!

Thanks for this video! A more detailed tip I would add has to do with using statuses to your advantage. You mentioned freeze for crowd control, but there are some others that help tremendously. Burn/Poison: These tick for 1% of the enemy's max health per second. This doesn't seem like much, but when each enemy has 5000 HP and your attacks are dealing 10-20 damage per hit, the free 50 damage per second will be your biggest source of damage for the first few chapters. Even into the mid-game, this will supplement your damage nicely. Spellbind (Dark)/Minus Def (from Break Shot and Drill Shot) - After applying these debuffs to enemies, you'll see a noticeable increase in the amount of damage you inflict, especially with critical rushes and warrior specials.

For some reason it feels like this game dosen't use the same rng system as other Fe games to me i can't even count how many times i got hit by something like 35-50% in normal in my first play
@islemsissou that's because it uses the fates rng system which is different from all the others. Fates uses a hybrid. I forget the specifics, but basically anything above 50% hit uses 2 RN, whereas anything below 50% uses 1 RN. Meaning 35-50% will actually hit half/one out of 3 times.

This is a spectacular compilation!! I'm watching it little by little between errands and my tears drying. Gotta really appreciate the commitment to include characters that died offscreen, and moments as stretched out as Uther's secret in FE7. If we do get a remake of an old FE game in the next few years, I'm really excited to come back to compare the scenes. (Fingers crossed for FE4's parenticide bingo)

Lmao honestly, I’m just as surprised as you! I legit thought the fe community was exaggerating with the dead parents memes, but….no! Every single game in the series does this to some degree. Some games even kill off the same parent multiple times which is hilarious (looking at you fates!)

I liked the “Dont speak Her Name” sequence in Awakening, but I also really liked the same sequence in Three Houses, when Jeralt dies. His relationship is much more personal to the player character being their father, both before and after he dies you learn a lot of what he sacrificed in order to make sure you survived. Unlike Awakening, the other characters don’t immediately start trying to inspire you to fight on, and its not like everything is fine 10 minutes afterwards, but continue to grieve alongside the player character for the next month.
The Jeralt sequence in three houses is also really well done. My only problem with it is while byleth does try to divine pulse to save him, they only try once and then give up which is a bit silly imo. But I agree that the awakening sequence isn’t perfect either tbh.
@@woltsvault6698 I think thats just the issue with having a main character who can manipulate time, is that without setting some kind of restraints it makes everything kind of meaningless. I feel like if they tried a second or third time at least and failed then it would still have shown that no amount of foresight of what will happen can save Jeralt.

Thracia 776 is probably my favourite fire emblem game. Rn i am playing the kaizo version(super thracia) and holy heck is it a pain, but its so fun 😭

The things you can do in Thracia is absolutely insane! I just beat ch4 without doing a single point of damage to an enemy, which is something I had no idea was possible until yesterday lol. Will be uploading that in part 4 soon!
