Hey I'm Grumpy...well I'm not actually Grumpy but I am....you know what I mean lol. I am a regional driver focusing mainly on Utah to California and back although my position covers the western US. I've been driving a bit over 3 years and am absolutely loving it. The majority of the videos on this channel are uploads of my twitch streams.
Running full chains EB Donner Pass. Beautiful snow driving.
My live stream from 12/12-12/13 heading through Donner Pass with max chains. It is a bumpy stream with lots of click click click from my hazards. But it is also absolutely GORGEOUS!!! -- Watch live at www.twitch.tv/thegrumpytrucker7

Driving from I10 in Palm Springs to I15 in Barstow via the 62 and 247. Its about a 2 hour drive in a semi doing 60ish. Let me know if you prefer these condensed videos or the actual driving. I am hauling 35,000 LBs of bottled water so I'm grossing about 79200ish. I grew up in Auburn, long long ago. I miss hearing the trucks coming down, West bound.
We almost left because we we couldn't figure out why they were Reading a Christmas Story. Lol
It took me a second too.
Oh wow, thank you for uploading this video..!!
I've driven that 10-12 times in all seasons, 15-30 years ago. Beautiful every time.
I actually just drove over it again and did a hyperlapse. Hopefully next time I'm near a computer I can upload it.
Thank you. Great views.
Beautiful scenery.❤️ Thanks for sharing.
Not a bad performance with your Mexican Overdrive Assist Bro!! Loved the run!! Blessed Day, Be Safe!!
Uld like to see more mirror though, just a habit
Nice video. Like to watch as I'm retired and very reminiscent
Thank you for a calm video of this route!!! Will be going thru this area on way to Richfield, UT, then Vegas, then Disneyland from Minnesota this Summer.
Nice drive when there's no road construction. When there is...OMG!
I got lucky I wasn't waiting behind 500 cars that needed to slow to 25 to go across the bridge.
The best part about Donners pass is the beginning and the end
Buyer beware westbound, that Eisenhower tunnel. It's downhill.
And you feel it. Just passed through there and it feels youre going down bad
I typed in donner and it dame out dinner.
I am a proud owner of a Donner pass fridge magnet.
the most beautiful 200 miles of interstate in America. Beware in the winter, weather can change in a mile.
Keep On Trucking 🤑🤑🤑
LQQKS like Vermont, or Maine USA
or COLORADO
ww that was some tunnell
Just a friendly note, we know its donner not dinner. If people make a typo its Ok, English is hard. We drive on parkways and park on driveways.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💩⌛️🤔👀
My home away from home
I saw a truck lost control way back when just before the year 2000 in San Francisco California just about hit construction workers near the highway plus was raining sorry for any misspells or mistakes in spelling oops wrong chat sorry my bad.
that was just before the entrance to interstate 101 or freeway 101 in San Francisco Ca sorry about that.
What's this Dinner Pass.. correction.. it's Donner Pass. And mr. Grumpy, seeings you won't talk.. check this out: years ago when I first got my solo's lic., I began this bad habit when bumping the dock. After opening the trailer doors and jumping back in my tractor.. who bothers to belt up those few feet, so once I felt the dock I would keep my clutch half way out to ensure a nice compressed fit.. popped the brakes and shut her down. Once, I let that clutch out just a little more than usual and when the engine stalled, that tractor yanked my ass clean out of my seat onto the passenger's floor. I got up in a hurry to look down the dock both directions to see if anyone saw my blunder.. pickin the gravel out of my beard. What a lesson I learned, plus it makes it difficult to pull up that metal grate they often have. Stupid, stupid stupid. Thanks, later I learned it's hard on the equipment, and I stopped. After 13 years, England pissed me off and I quit.. returning their equipment.
If you want to hear me talk your ear off you can come hang out while I stream on Twitch. Twitch.tv/thegrumpytrucker7. These videos I feel talking ruins the feel of them, I prefer listening to the truck, not someone discussing every aspect of the drive. But to your other comment, If the truck is moving my belt is on no matter how far I'm moving. I've heard to many horror stories. I normally back into the dock, lift the clutch a touch to put some pressure on it and lock the brakes. Luckily I haven't dumped the clutch at a door...yet.
my father was raised during the great depredation in the state of Colorado he drove the autocar bottom dumps truck in near Santa Cruz California to Pochaco pass near Hollister California way back when sorry for any mistakes in spelling or misspells.
*Donner...not Donners, like not Jewels or Targets
My husband was an OTR trucker and I rode with him on Dinner Pass when it was snowing. It was a little bit scary
