80 parks, and 75 of them have drunk homeless people passed out under the trees. Downtown has lousy parking, and homeless people everywhere begging for money. During the spring/summer/fall smithfield makes downtown smell like death and hotdogs. Crime is skyrocketing. Half the schools are horrible. Daycare is becoming none existant, daycare are closing or full.

just a headsup the SVCC is fairly expensive, and if you are like me and you just like to be able to ride out and ride alone, you will find randomly they will allow cows to roam in there, and when I complained about having to pay so much money and not able to safely ride when I wanted I was basically told if I didn’t like it then don’t come… They do have a “tight knit” community, but they aren’t as welcome to outsiders as you would hope. The way you sign up and get a key to the gate is go to Empire motorsports the owner is the guy that runs the club. I don’t know if he just didn’t like me, or what, but I was made ti feel like it was a huge hassle to sign me up and get me a key to the gate, and if I remember right it was a few hundred bucks and I only ended up riding there 4 or 5 times because i like trails and the first time I almost hit a cow and was covered in cow Poop, which also is easy to crash on if its fresh and slippery and you hit it wrong with your front tire. Not to mention the guys on old slow 3 and 4 wheelers that puts along, and if you set yourself a course and try to improve your riding by keeping lap times with your GPS they really dont care, when they could easily pop off the side of the trail when they hear you coming up behind them they just putz in front of you. I don’t know, obviously I didn’t have a great experience, but I’m also kind of a loner, I suppose if you were into racing the hair scrambles or motocross the motocross track is really good. and I guess if every tom dick and hairy could afford the fees the problem with slow bad riders causing issues would be even worse. I just felt like they cut my season short when they let cows out there and I thought that it was a mistake I rushed back to my truck and called empire and said “somebodys cows got free into the park” and I was told, ohh well, nobodys really riding this time of year so we let them out there… it was basically like a “slap in the face” no offer of partial refund, I even joked and said “well you will at least give me a deal on changing out my tires next time right” and was laughed at. Bought a set of tire spoons from rocky mountain and haven’t ever been back. was going to buy 3 new KTMs and a lawnmower the next spring too, I went elsewhere.

I would move for number 9 alone. It all sounds too good to be true

I've been debating between Rapid City and sioux falls to raise my family. But I've read alot of comments about crime rates. I have 2 young daughters so this is a major concern.

Sioux Falls has more foody places per capita than ANY other town I've ever investigated.

I grew up there in the 50s and early 60s. I went to Mark Twain school and Patrick Henry. My dad managed the Sears store there. Our family loved it and thought it was the perfect town, back then. I haven't been back there since 65 and am afraid to see the expansion and changes, preferring to remember it the way it was.
