Thank you for sharing experience! Really helpful for my r25 build❤
Sir can you share which 2 bolt size and length of the damper with the frame(black parts) ? First bolt is 8:20 Second bolt is 12:43
Is R3 and MT03 are the same front suspention ??? I like to changes my MT03 breakline
Why such a high viscosity oil? Ducati recommends 10W40. 20W50 will just decrease oil pressure and rob horsepower..
You also completely missed the catch filter at the bottom of the oil sump …
20w50 is thicker oil so will give ore pressure...but "might" rob 0.25 of a horsepower... :)
is the steering damper different from 2008 model to the newer gen??? (2017+)
Marco! Once again, trying to learn stuff has lead me to your page! Good job with this one. I sold the R3 a few months ago and replaced with a ZX4RR (still miss that R3!). I then was run off the track by another rider and decided to make the 4RR track only like the R3, but with actual track fairings this time around. So here I am in your videos, learning lol.
Good to hear from you my friend! I was thinking about getting a 4RR as well but just purchased a new house so had to put that project on the back burner. How do you like it? Keep me posted, would really like to get your opinion on the 4RR vs the R3.
@ I love it! The electronics is mainly what I wanted. I have a bigger bike, so I wasn’t looking for more power. I really like the small bikes. The 4RR has a decently good rear shock for my pace. The front needs help and the fork cartridges from Andreani are reasonably cheap at $580 (cheaper than the Nix-22 Ohlins on my R3). The one thing I don’t like is for a small displacement bike, I wish it were sub 40@ pounds like the R3. If I can get this thing to around -$380 pounds, I would be very happy. But I also don’t want to spend too much on it. As-is, it’s a fantastic bike.
Another banger! You have helped me multiple times now while I'm building 20' r3 for street/track use
Thank you for the feedback and for watching. Glad it was helpful!
Get yourself a torque wrench, kind of surprised you don’t have one, looking at the garage.
I have several of them but after doing this for a while, I am confident I can get close to the specs without the torque wrench.
Great job.
THANK YOU!!!1
it’s still good now?or the chain broke on r3?,because the chain was so small ,and how long you use that chain? and i want to ask ,what you recommend between DID ERZ 415 , and Regina GP4 415? sorry for my bad english
I use the DID 415 and change it after 4 track days. I also adjust the slack after every session. I keep it clean and well lubricated.
Where to buy bro?
depends where you live - SportBikeTrackGear, Norton Motorsports in the US. TenKate in EU….
Good video. I'm about to install race bodywork for the first time so I'm trying to determine the appropriate option for fasteners. I can't believe there's so much to learn about dzus fasteners, I was going to order some quickly, that was a couple of hours ago. Before this video I was considering the Dzus Pro (D4), with rivet S-Spring. After watching this I noticed you mentioned using the Dzus Pro (D8). Which measurement does the D4 or D8 refer to specifically (diameter or depth)? and how best to determine what is the correct size for my application?
Was the air gap 103mm or 130mm, couldn't quite hear it properly
Awesome video. You saved me a huge headache. Just going to buy a non abs R3 to turn in to a track bike. LOL
Does anybody know the size and diameter of the e soft return spring?
bro where can i get screw?
We meet again brother! How’s your R3? Mines been sold after years and years of track life, in exchange for a ZX4RR. Thanks for this video, it clarified some install and operation questions I had. Have you had yours deploy yet?
Thanks for making this, very helpful.
Great details, content, and good job editing.. thats a lot of work!
Thank YOU!!! Appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback!
What is grease u put on ring?
Sorry if i missed something from the video, i've got a 2019 abs, do you reckon i can just put on the abs delete, the speed sensor on the engine case and connect the existing speedo wire to that?
I see sell for the ZXXR I wish I could see them on it
Do you have to remove O2 and Block AIS for this?
Great video and saved alot of hassel sending it off. The only question i have is what torque figures did you use for the top and bottom screws please?
I don't understand the diference between the original stacks and the one you used. They look like to have the same size and shape
One side is shortened and also rigidity is important for laminar flow.
What is the purpose of splitting the whole wire harness and spend a lot of time to remove the ABS from the bike. Only thing you need to do is removing the ABS pump and replace the brake lines with non-ABS lines.
Ease of troubleshooting, lighter and no error code on dashboard!
Very cool video
Amigo si lo coloco para uso normal o uso en ciudad mucho tráfico en Ralentí qué tal funciona? Refrigeración rápida o dure más de 1 minuto el ventilador encendido?
Woodcraft wants those on the front engine mount and you have to cut your fairings. That’s how I read the instructions.
Will the gas run out of the tank?
you’ll have a small amount that will leak when you disconnect the hose but it will be minimal.
@@landry555 I got a 2021 R3" 12,500 miles, somewhere around 7,000 rpm or when I get up to 45 mph it starts to cutting back and something shut off! No problem starting up! Got a friend that drove it for me" he said he believes it is the spark plugs! You think that could be what it is?
it’s possible, I’ve had similar issues with my R6 and had to replace the ignition coils (and the sparks). Could also be the fuel pump, filter, clogged injectors. It’s a relatively easy task to replace the spark plugs, so it’s a good idea to start with that. Do you have an error code on your display? That could help narrow down the troubleshooting.
@@landry555 my bike at my brother in law, I don't remember seeing a code, I'm going there in the morning to take the tank off! I will look and make sure! Thanks for the intel!
Super helpful!
Thank you for posting this helpful video
How many cm(length) is your front brake line bro
Thanks for the video. I am removing ABS from my R3. Does the bike run after you remove the ABS? The only side effect is the codes on the display?
Heard from a guy that taking off the abs sensor ring on either wheel will turn off abs with no error codes, what do you think will tht work? I’m also trying to remove my abs on my 636 but I’m not sure
Thank you very much. That was really helpful. I changed the fork oil and seals on my two bikes (basic service) but I never installed a cartridge kit and was curious if there is anything special to it. It doesn't look that complicated and gives confidence that I will manage fine.
Happy to hear the video was helpful. You are correct, it’s not very complex as long as you have the proper tools. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. Cheers!
After bleeding the brakes take some velcro or something that will squeeze the brake over night it will take if any air bubbles out & your brake stoping quick!
I highly appreciate your videos big fan very informative ,tec savvy & saved me money & headaches. The #1 Channel for R3 informative information. Your videos they have been a tremendous help to me in transforming my R3 in-too a little rocket of fun!!!

Hi, Yamaha usually recommends using NGK CR8E spark plugs but instead of that can an iridium based spark plug (NGK CR8EIX) used without gapping?
Cool video! I miss that track a lot! Why didn’t you pass that guy? Your movements were smoother than his, so I know it wasn’t skill holding you back. I know and R3 might not have the most power, but if you would have shown him a wheel a few times (safely of course), eventually they will let you by. I have an SV and run into the same thing with liter bikes, I can pull them thru a corner but then they just out muscle me down the straits… Hound them long enough and they let me go..
He didn’t pass him because he couldn’t…he’s on an R3 and dude had 100BP on him.
@@VState60 yeah, I realized it after I posted the comment that he was on an R3.. Was scrolling thru stuff on the phone so didn't really read past the words Jennins GP. I love that track, was the first track I ever road... Good times.
