Phantasy Star Online 2 - Dio Hyunal (Lilipa Ultimate Quest, Solo)
Finally got a winning recording of a fight against this thing that I'm satisfied with. Consider this a sequel to the "Profound Duel" video I uploaded years ago against this boss' story quest counterpart. Still one of my most favorite bosses to this day. I do find it funny that Dio Hyunal is actually easier than the quests they're the boss of though...

Been getting back into Phantasy Star MMOs thanks to a Discord server I'm in. This boss in particular caught my interest so I decided to record the first time I fought its Urgent Quest version. Hope I didn't do too bad for a first run through. Class is Braver/Hunter. I am playing on Ship 02.

A fight I had recorded months ago between me and my friend WonderGamer101 that I didn't upload publicly but really should have because it deserves it. Guess this is technically lore accurate for Shiki?? Maybe. Idk. Vampire killing, Nanaya instincts, and all that. BGM is Fearless from Melty Blood: Actress Again.

So apparently the dev for the Armoury Mod added some "hidden" enemies in the testing area. These are just the most personally interesting ones, as I also encountered some modified MTs and Institute machines. I'm almost certain there are more that I haven't found.

So Nineball was added to the Armoury mod, and he was about as tough as one would expect he would be. I had to build in a specific way suited to take him down, which produced the winning result you see here. Also, the reason Stain -final version- is playing is because it replaces Silent Encounter in the BGM mod I'm using.

I was genuinely surprised. I knew this game had unused dialogue, but I don't remember hearing these before. Also the Ayre COM voice mod is kind of weird in cases like this where you're actively fighting against her. Then again, considering that one Verdict Day DLC that changes your COMs voice to other characters in the game...

Upon rewatching this... why didn't I use the pulse blade to take down his Terminal Armor? Was I stupid? Edit: Oh wait, I did. I just gave up LMAO. Also FYI I'm using a slightly edited version of the Songs of Rubicon mod which... due to how the .wem files work, implemented the soundtrack replacements kind of weirdly which is why it sounds kinda jumpy.

I feel that MoA's and gen 3-5's direct sequel's first missions are probably some of the most iconic in the whole series. Whether its due to the music, the dialogue, or otherwise, they practically set the tone for the whole game. Wondering if I should upload all of them at some point. I was... not ready for how difficult this mod's version of this fight was going to be. At some points he even managed to break out of my hard lock, something practically impossible in vanilla. It took me only a few tries in comparison to, say, the 1v2 in Unknown Territory Survey mission, but it wasn't until I equipped my classic (burst) AR MG dual laser drone loadout that I managed to win. Figh...

Stain -final version- is certainly interesting choice for to replace Silent Encounter with. I had to resort to using zero melee weapons just to win. It was too risky.

Picked this mod back up, chose the 0.75 health regulation and used a modified version of the Songs of Rubicon music modpack. I certainly like this version of this boss more, original max health version of the RE-AC6 regulation aside. Hope you enjoy the action and strategy my build provided.

Probably my best if not one of my best run of this boss. Easily one of my greatest cinematic finishes. Don't know what else to put here at the moment.

This was a lot tougher for me to accomplish with this build than I expected. I basically needed to use weapon variants that could damage the boss's pulse shield and had to stay as close as I possibly could for my attacks to connect. Attempting this actually gave me a bigger appreciation for this boss than I previously had. But yeah, this mod's pretty fun either way.

ohh wow without cheese weapons IBIS is actually kinda scarry.... well its damage output is
it's AI is also kinda of an odditiy in this game themsaages it sends you during thefigt arent just flavor text, IBIS is actively reading your AC's loadout to attempt ot mitigate it. in this case because the loadout was favoring short range, it was trying ot stay outside of range and poking with its arm weapon unless given an opportunity ot blade.
@@Teixas666 the issue with IBIS is that typically it doesnt actually have enough AP to do a full read on your AC if you bought an actually competent build that just creams the encounter in mere seconds
