I’m aiming to buy the Vhikk X module and I’ve seen video’s of you using both. Do you prefer the old version over de X? What other features next to the inputs does the X had over the original? Nice jam BTW

Great walk-through. I don’t use shimmer mode but tend to keep it on the limiter section. I love the sound of regen swells with some of the on board filter modulation. Nice work as always!

Perfect timing, I just picked this effect module up! Thank you for making this and explaining so well why you do certain things. I was finding myself using Addac manual latches in the same manner: being able to jump between two specific settings without changing module knobs and losing their position. I would love to see an in depth technique instruction like this but for the Messor, if you deem it worthy of making it. I have pretty much set the Messor on kick ducking duties but there is much more that I would like to know. I think BRiES has a really good tutorial but if there are performative hints and tips you can add to that, would love to know!

Love it. DV is one of the few modules I've never considered taking out of my rack. I've tried and really liked a few of the other firmwares, but keep coming back to DV. I use it for a similar build up effect but tend to do it with the size knob and filter. Really need to try with the regen. Thanks for the tip!

Distortion always sounds good in electronic. Makes low end very warm. Other than that im amazed what you can do with just synth :0

Thanks for this! Would love an overview of how you work with your other voices beyond drums. You seem to have a really minimal set of modules for bass, sequences and such but your stuff always sounds great and very interesting.

I never would have expected you could use all those audio outs as triggers for modular gear. Very smart!

Thanks a lot, very interesting! I use a TR-8S as well, but didn't realized that trigger can be sent via external out. Maybe I'll use it some day. I use the Hexinverter Module from Mutant Brain to serve a clock signal to my case. This module will be triggered via MIDI from the TR-8S and can serve a reset trigger, divided or multiplied clock signal. In my opinion it is a very useful module. I'm looking forward to exploring your upcoming tutorials! 🤟

Really interesting thanks for sharing. Love the way you do your case in iterations- not jumping on one new module and fitting things around it. Must help with getting really fluent with a static setup for a while. And being able to think about the next iteration in a strategic way with a few changes. I hear you on the noise issues! Spent ages tracking down digital noise from my bitbox micro sampler in a Mantis case. I thought the same about future problems with another case, so I bought an endorphins 2hp power module and I power the bitbox with its own supply now. Annoying in terms of cost and hp! But worth it for such a powerful module that’s central to my setup.

thanks for sharing. did you check the doepfer a-133-2? its 4hp, 2 channel of polarizer , you have input + cv + mod input, which is 1 attenuator polarizer 1 attenuator 1 direct in. still a bit unsure how it reacts, i think its tied to the CV in, not the main IN. sums to one output. also its a ring modulator if you want. very very useful.

Quality of your audio starts form the psu not from the modules, changing modules is just a workaround most of the times. Also saying "This module is noisy" without real and technical proofs isn't nice.
