Freezing cold wind followed by Frost!
Last winter, this plant was completely burnt on one side that was exposed to a night of sub-zero wind followed by frost 🥶 in the morning. The surface on one side was burnt but the side away from the wind and frost was fine.
After protecting it from further damage, I decided to let it try to heal .. and heal it did …the resilience of epiphyllum hybrids is remarkable!

When you buy cuttings from Tropical Treasure, you can expect mature growth at least 25 cm in length. Some cuttings are as big as 40 cm. Not all sellers are as generous nor did they have our guarantee: If our cuttings fail to survive beyond three months, we will replace them free of charge. If our cuttings are planted damaged in transit, we will replace them free of charge!

Cold & Frost kills! 🥶 These plants were undercover but a cool blast of frosty air on -1 to -2 degree nights has rendered these cladodes, limp, water-logged, rotten and lifeless. Only 6-7 plants overall were affected fortunately, as there was a gap between the polycarbonate roofing and the fence which allowed the icy frosty air to hit yjese cladodes.
