Here's a way to make 1999 mode look like easy mode in the final battle. Fully upgrading the Charge Vigor makes you almost invincible in the game. Placing a bunch of upgraded Shock Jockey traps prevents most enemies from reaching the command deck.

I haven't played this game for years, but if my memory serves me right, I think you have to upgrade the Charge Vigor to the fullest, have it equipped, target an enemy and just use it.

A funny story. Back in 2004 when Halo 2 came out I was a sophomore in high school. Our school was having a multi million dollar football field/grandstand put in during the summer, and as a marching band member we were going to be it's inaugural first use during a band competition. I snuck up into the press box hours before when we were setting things up and put in my Halo 2 soundtrack CD into the brand new PA system. I cranked up this song and let her rip. My dad said he heard it from a 1/4 mile away lol. Great memories, simpler times. 🤙
