Finishing Up Floor and Ceiling at the Cabin (S2 E5)
I’m definitely gonna try this bc I feel like I’ve hit a dead end with my dogs kennel each year always falling down after a storm!
Thanks, I needed that.
They didn't do any better by putting them under the seat on newer models because on my 2019 outlander xmr 1000 the exhaust runs underneath battery compartment, and if you know anything about these machines its that they tend to run a little hot causing my noco lithium battery to go into fail safe mode and sutt all power to machine because of over heating. Trying to find a solution. Any tips?
I actually dont know much about them at all. I got so aggravated with mine that I sold it and bought a Ranger XP 1000 sxs.
Bad decribtion. Show from beginning how you do
I totally agree with you...
Sueeweee!! My Neighbors new pigs are coming in our garden and its Game Over for the Prik!😂😂😂😂😂 Its Trapping and Eating Time🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂
I have to tell this story. Many years ago an old retired Emergency Room Physician told me about an experience he witnessed while working at a hospital in South Georgia. He was the only attending physician working and had several residents working with him. One of these residents heard an old man who was there with his wife after a snake bite call it a poisonous snake. The resident started in on the difference between venom and poison being how they enter the body. She was doing so in a condescending way. This man was listening to her and passed through the sliding privacy barrier and told her to leave the ER. I find it interesting that Georgia code 27-1-28(a) refers to Poisonous Snakes NOT Venomous Snakes. If you are doing exacting scientific research I see using the word Venomous, but for simple country folks, Poisonous is good enough! I use the word Venomous but almost every person I know uses Poisonous.
To be completely honest...I use "poisonous" more than "venomous". It is only a minor pet peeve that using a term incorrectly for long enough somehow makes it acceptable...such as "clip" vs "magazine". It isn't even worth worrying about anymore. I was discussing a snake bite case recently with a board certified emergency physician and he kept using the term "poisonous". I just laugh. Its not that important, LOL. I would agree that "poisonous" is simply fine for lay people.
@@BeechBluffOutdoors The term "cousins" can be confusing. I have a cousin who insists on calling her first cousin's child her "second cousin." This topic often sparks intense debates. In genealogical research, such inaccuracies can render work illegible in the future. As an engineer, I must adhere to various ISO Standards. Precision in design is critical; otherwise, it could lead to severe consequences and complications. Therefore, in matters of importance, I insist on clarity. For instance, when someone refers to a Rattlesnake as "poisonous," I understand their meaning, but for clarity, it's worth noting that the main difference between poison and venom lies in their method of delivery into the body.
I was not moving at the side of a 2 car garage and the cottonmouth was crawling on the other side of the wall. Both garage doors were wide open 5 feet to the left of the snake and to freedom, instead the snake went the 15 feet straight for me. Luckily I hit him on the first strike with a hoe.
It's hard for snakes to controI where they go on pavement
please lock purchasing link
Hope your feeling better . I'm kinda going thru the same heart issue . Hopefully maybe we could meet up at Alabama gold camp . Wish you the best . Thanks for all your videos . They uplift me .
Can this hold a black bear with a strong enough man at the helm?
Me personally...I wouldn't try it, LOL. I have used mine on coons, yotes, foxes and cats
i’m looking for a good tarp that won’t break with heavy wind, where did you get these tarps ?
Thesse came from Harbor Freight. I would recommend maybe a little better quality if your budget affords it. These are cheap and I am okay replacing them every couple years
Great video what I'm trying to find out is can I go camping there in my RV ? Do they allow that or just tent camping
Yes, they (at least used to) allow RV's.
I am currently disabled following a reconstuctive foot surgery. I have a Vizsla/Beagle mix puppy i just adopted and besides chewing, he seems interested in chasing things like the Flirt Poles i use for my cats. Can you suggest a modification for making a long pole with maybe a ball or other toy attached that i can pull out maneuver around the yard to exercise and stimulate my boy's growth and development? Thank you 😊
Was your cameraman drunk?
actually...yes...quite
I made one this weekend to catch a raccoon in the attic, but in the end, I didn't need it. Cost $44 in parts from Lowes now, not $9 as during the Trump era. Bidenomics at work. Vote smarter this year.
If people dont start voting smarter, these self reliance skills are gonna become a whole lot more important here soon!
Where did you get the military cargo cord from? N if its online is their something just like that at a store like Academy, Walmart, Northern Tool Or Somewhere else that I can hurry up and get that near by me?
Actually, this particular rope came from a buddy of mine that is retired military. I have not had much luck finding it and have started using a caro rope from the local Army Navy surplus store
Never would have thought of the clothes line tensioner. Perfect fix! Very much appreciated!! Thank you
Glad to help!
Where do u buy them locks
Lowes
Awesome! The way I did mine last year is with string and a roll of plastic. Which actually did work but the dogs tore it up. I like ur idea much better.
awesome...figured this out by trial and error too, LOL. Glad it helped!
Hello my friend very interesting all the things that you do. But I have something that I would like that you help me with. I’m always tripping into my dog when I run. I want something to keep the dog away from me and be safe. Can you do something to help me fix that. Thank you very much. I’m writing you from Mexico.
Hey bro how much was everything
Most of the stuff I used, I already had on hand so it would be hard to say. The tarps came from a local discount tool company (HF). The rope is surplus military cargo cord (similar to 550 cord, but better).
Waiting………on part 2
Sorry...thought I uploaded it already. coming up shortly...
Alright man, good stuff I had to subscribe! shout out from clarksville TN!
Appreciate it!!
Clarksville is my hometown! Black horse pub and brewery is the best around!
How did you secure the tensioner to the pole?
Epoxy
I love it! Would have cost about $70 on Amazon and seemed too simple of a thing to be so costly. Thank you for showing me another way!
Glad it was helpful!
Have you ever seen anyone catch anything with one???
We use ours quite often. I have used it on coyotes and raccoons several times.
Schedule 40 or 80 ?
I used sch 80
What about the lock!
I apologize. I must have missed your question. The lock is simply a clothes line tensioner sold at most big box hardware stores. You can find them online as well. It simply only allows the cable to freely move one way.
I cant wait to try this out, thank you for making this!
Awesome! Hope it works for you
When are you going back to Alabama gold camp ? I'd love to go with ya .
I probably won't be back until spring of 2024. Stay tuned and I will let yall know when I go and we can get something together!
@@BeechBluffOutdoors Perfect . I also wanted to say we missed you when you took time off TH-cam . Wish you the best . Have a safe & happy thanksgiving . I'll be watching
Nice farm 😮
Thank you!
when you change your channel name
I do't know how that happened. thats the 3rd time it has done that!
I always learn the hard way too!
School of hard knocks is sometimes the best education I guess
Hello from TN
keep the wick short to cut down on the soot the glass
Thanks for the tip. I have been trying this and it works...but how do you increase light output AND keep the wick down? Excuse my ignorance but I am learning how to use these things, LOL
Youre awesome man! Keep doing what youre doing!!
I appreciate that!
Great to see you again, looking forward to more!
thanks brother!
Thanks for sharing
I can’t thank you enough. I’ve been looking for somebody with a common sense answer or to come up with something myself. I had already tarped the top.
Glad I could help
I built this because of a raccoon problem, i caught a about 20 pound raccoon and it didnt hold it. Mabye its because raccoos can grab the cable and pull it off them but i wouldnt trust it with anything
hmmm, sorry that hear that it didn't work for you. I use mine on coyotes and it holds them. Hate to hear you had an issue though.
Put something like a lawnmower pull handle on the end of your cable, then the cable won't slip through your hand and the only way a racoon could pull it off is if he has more arm strength than you. 😉
What is that lock called and where it is available
I assume you are referencing the clothes line tensioner...they carry them at big box hardware stores like Lowes.
What type of trap would you use if you have a problem close to your house. Two of our dogs have been bit in Span o three months.
I wish I could offer some info on traps, but I have never used any type of trap for snakes. Either myself or some of my redneck buddies usually catch nuisance snakes and relocate them. If you do not fix what they are there for, they will come back...so keep that in mind. Sorry I couldnt help more
@@BeechBluffOutdoors There is an old story that I doubt is true but it does speak to this. A man called an animal control person because he had found snakes under his porch. Upon investigating he learned a bird cage was hung up on the porch and this bird was dropping seeds that found their way to the ground. This drew rats and other critters that snakes prey on. It is not possible to 100% snake-proof a home. The best way to rid yourself of not only snakes but the rats they prey on is to remove the things that draw them into your yard. Clean up the property and avoid leaving food out anywhere. A good friend told me about his son-in-law getting bit by a Copperhead near his home in South Carolina. The snake was in their storage building where they kept sacks of pet food. The Son in law recovered and the only lasting damage was his pocketbook. Crofab is expensive.
Would this work for snakes ?
no
By drilling 2 holes in the end cap and running the cable back in through the cap instead of the side, it should work for you.
I wouldnt use it on snakes at all. There are commercial snake grabbers for that specific purpose. Generally speaking, unless you are quite familiar with how to do it safely I do NOT recommend ever grabbing any type of wildlife
We just honked at ya on 51!
I heard it and waved. Wasn't sure who it was, LOL
thanks
Great video.
Hello! Very nice construction. In my country we don't have this kind of clothesline tensioner. Any ideas for something alternative?
Possibly order online? I honestly am not well versed in international acquistion
Thank you. That is a good money saver. I just saw opossums in my house, and I need to get rid of them.
Guy Fierry????😮😮😮
When you stratify, you hold your pan flat. You want to hold it at an angle to let the gold fall down into the corner of the pan. If you hold the pan flat while stratifying, it’s going to the bottom of the pan but not down into the corner where the “trap” is. You seem to have done well anyway though! Great job!
Thanks for the tip!! Learning as go, LOL. All advice is much appreciated
