The very first image of Beth and Lujack in this video was a poster in either TV Guide or one of the Teen Beat type of magazines; I had it hanging in my room until I went to college. Beth and Lujack will always be my favorite soap couple!
Unpopular opinion: couldn't stand Lujack/Beth and Lujack. I loved Beth and Phillip and didnt buy the whole "Lujack and Beth had the real thing" that was an insult to the fans of Beth and Phillip. Phillip saved Beth from the court order Bradley had to makd her move back home after she had moved out to escape his abuse. She was only 17 at that time and Phillp was 18 so could have been arrested for "kidnapping" as she was underage and Bradley had a court order to bring her home. He risked that out of love for her and then stood by her when she came home and brought charges against Bradley. She had a lot of baggage but he loved her despite that. Yes, he made a mistake with Mindy which sucked but their night together when she got pregnant was during the time Beth had broken it off with no explanation to him(We of course knew it was because of Bradley's abuse) but he was upset over losing her and Mindy was there (not saying it was right but technically he was not cheating on Beth as she had refused to see him) then after all of that and were finally going to be happy the writers thought it would be more interesting to have her fall for an unattractive thug and proclaim that she and Phillip were never "real" ? Please! Then all of a sudden Lujack was the good guy znd Phillip was the bad guy who hired Andy to blow up the club. Please! I know its a soap opera and they cant ever let anyone have a happily ever after but this was too much for me. I stopped watching and then came back after Lujack was written out. I had kept up in soap digest about Lujack spending time in prison and was glad but then he got out so had to wait longer until he left for good. Yes, definitely not a fan. Was glad Beth and Phillip ended up together after that.
One Life To Live
Tony R. showed what a good guy he was , when it came to Lujack
Actual airdate of this episode was Monday, October 28, 1991. The Northern Exposure promo was the clue! 🙂
I know that Lujack would only sign a 2 yr contract with GL because he wanted to move on from soaps. Just hated that he didn't stay around longer.
@@tammyvickers7779 He did return years later as Nick McHenry. Although Beth wasn't there. Instead, Mindy ended up with Nick
I was sooo upset Lujack left. I loved him and Beth together. It’s still my all-time favorite love story of all time & out of every movie & tv show I’ve watched in my 54 years of life 🥰❤️
Grew up with Barney in the 90s. I had the Barney videos I had a Barney doll and a baby bop as a kids. Lauren was amazing I love her and the other kids too. I didn’t have a favorite character I love all of the kids as a kids I was born in 1994. So grew up with Barney and friends. Being a high functioning autistic child I just adored Barney but I do like baby bop. I think I had a crush on Carlos too lol
They should play this song in a Phillip and Rick video
@@wiled5 I actually did a Rick and Philip tribute video with this song. I have to upload it when I come across it again.
And the shoe just introduced Shelia the previous month.
Delightful.
Don & Jerry had their faults sure, but their successes outweighed those faults by several tonnes.
It was Phillip who paid to burn down Lujack’s club which. led to the explosion that blinded Beth.
OMG! Yes! I remember that now.
Hard to believe she’s 39 years old now.
Hi. Do you have this entire v-log, if so. Please upload. Much appreciated.
Certainly the place to be.
I liked the Daniel St. John/Holly storyline, thanks for sharing!
@kvlasek1 Your welcome. I love the Daniel story too. Although I thought it was weird to make him a killer after only 1 year on.
I loved Guiding Light in the 90s, so good, thanks for sharing!
Love these GL episodes, thanks for posting!
@@kvlasek1 Thanks I'm a GL fan. Especially from 1990-1992
I’m a Barney fan
I’m still a Barney fan
I love watching this podcast
Vile dude.... he should never have achieved so much power...... which he squandered into failures....
He may have loved the blow and the pills but boy did he know how to sell a movie
I love Lauren King! Kathy is always one of my favorite!
Kevin Flaherty: She got older huh?
Kevin Flaherty: At 16:00 She was so young and pretty in those days.
Great job
great. I searche the episode / scene of Guiding Light with Maeve and Kyle in the bathtub. I believe it was between August 1985 and April 1986. Can you upload this ? greetings from Germany.
I love cbs daytime it's been number 1 for 30 years
I watch the young and the restless the bold and the beautiful on cbs daytime and finally general hospital on abc weekdays
Hello cbs daytime fans how are you on this beautiful day
Catch the young and the restless and the bold and the beautiful weekdays only cbs daytime
I am a y&r and b&b fan
This is really good. The montage toward the end was cool. That's one of my favorite Celine Dion songs.
I love Lauren King
CBS soaps was some of the hottest soaps on daytime television back then
Why do we live so much hate in this world.
It's sad. Everyone should be happy and cheerful
These guys did great work
“It’s an entertainment movie, it’s not a message movie.” Good old times.
Walking distance from my house to go to Mondawmin Mall
Elizabeth Hubbard (Lucinda Walsh) was simply an amazing actress! I loved her character on As The World Turns and she should have won Best Actress several times!!
I totally agree. Her and Beverlee McKinsey from GL never got recognized enough in the Daytime Emmys. I definitely loved Lucinda
@@pastpresentsoapspast5083 I totally agree with you about both of these wonderful actresses!! ATWT and GL were the best daytime soaps ever!
I love that this period and the movies the critics are describing are not even close to how terrible the marvel film's today are and how unimaginative the business would become 😅
I dread to think what they would have thought of the Tramsformers franchise.
Don Simpson is actually a very well-read man and a very quick study; it's a shame that his Achilles heel was success; any failure set him off. Jerry is the rational deal-maker, a producer's producer. ❤

@@gterrymed I must have missed that day.
A very addictive personality, some deep seeded personal issues that were never addressed, he dealt with them through excess, coke, food, booze, plastic surgery... and sex.
The Lord has to have mercy on Don Simpson, the kid from Anchorage, Alaska. I was listening to some of the songs he influenced for Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop 2, and Flashdance and those songs are AWESOME his produced movies are HOT And FLASHY; I'm sorry he was so tortured and had such thin skin. If he only knew Agape Love instead of his strict Baptist upbringing 🫂 ❤ ✝️ to Don's eternal soul. Listening to Don's music choices for his movies last night brought me here. The Big Bang. Bang means having sex. Lol😅😅😅
"My yoke is Easy, my burden is Light." Matthew 11 The Baptists RUINED Don Simpson and my son. Baptists have such a Brutal approach to The Lord's Word. Don grew up in a different era but even today there are Baptists much like from Don Simpson's childhood;
So this is the famous episode of Naked Hollywood that was not shown in the original broadcast - banned by the producers for “making them look bad”.
Yes. Didn't know it was banned
The presenters intro to this part of the Naked Hollywood series tells how they were short one segment due to the producers not allowing it to be shown. Thank you for having it here as watched the series in 1991 and always wondered what this unseen segment was like.
@@johnwatson3948 Your welcome. That's interesting info. I always figured anyone who had something crazy to say, especially about Don, it was from working with them or word on the street. Both are my favorite producers. I saved this original episode with 2 lady producers included few years ago when I had a interest to do a documentary on Don Simpson
Seems they put the segment back in where you saw it - my VHS tape from 1991 just ends with Lynda Obst and Debra Hill doing The Fisher King, with apologies from the presenter that they couldn’t show the Simpson Bruckheimer part.
@@johnwatson3948 Wows. That's crazy
This is going to be a great documentary. Talking about it brought back memories of watching Barney with our children. I can't wait to see it.
03:40 onwards = Unnecessary evidence "Cocaine's a hell of a drug, man."
He's inadvertently describing Scientology; you are the center of your universe in Scientology: looking at yourself in the mirror and saying your name over and over again does make you the focal point of your existence; I tired saying my name over and over looking at myself in the mirror this morning bur I'm too much into Jesus and the Holy Spirit and had to stop. Lol I felt like I was being pulled away from God doing Don's mirror thing.
