This makes the most sense as money laundering. It''s like buying and selling art. No one knows how much a piece of art is really worth. Could be worthless, could be thousands. If you over pay for a piece of art, whose to say? If the artist happens to be related to the buyer and some of that money makes its way back to the buyer afterward, who''s going to know? This consulting company is selling a goofball service that WOTC could have an intern do for nothing, but when it's done by"professionals" maybe it really does cost whatever absurd amount WOTc execs shelled out? Who's to say? I mean we all know that the current WOTC leadership is totally ethical and not greedy at all right?

I like the Gearhulks, but otherwise, Kaladesh is an artistically homogeneous set with parasitic mechanics and low power. This is ironic, given the the plane is supposed to have a greater emphasis on creativity. All of the art is faberge swirls of one style or another. Along with Amonkhet, it is one I'd the worst sets in modern memory. Who cares what they call it.

In a old video on LoadingReadyRun they did an episode with Shivam Bhatt who is North Indian. TTC 167 - Inspirational Origins of Kaladesh(1 hour long) at about 17 minutes he starts talks about how these is a language diffy spoken in North and South India, making Kaladesh have many meaning between both parts of India, and why the consultants didn't catch it first time around(5 minutes). The rest of the video Shivam gushed about how much he loved the set kaladesh to the LRR cast, Indian culture, and some flukes made but WOTC along the way. It is a fun listen BUTT TLDR; The word "Kala" is known more for it's negatively usage in NORTH India but that is not the case in SOUTH India. The consultants who worked on Kaladesh were all South Indian. (Shivam noted the consultants names were South Indian)

Youre wrong about the cracking boxes thing. Thats the privilege of getting in on release. if we're 2 years out you should not be expecting and feel entitled to opening boxes at msrp. especially if youre a player and thinking rationally you buy singles period after that point. if we think everyone deserves a box whenever then you want print to demand. We need to stop listening to people that are emotional about missing out and theyre months after release and stop listening to investor bros. Beta singles are at good prices, and have been for about year so if you truly want to play then there is zero issue right now. the moaning right now is investor bros because they want the box to be 1k immediately and retire somehow. honestly very tired of how narrow minded a lot are on this topic, not saying you since we mostly agree. Its just exhausting seeing the game piece people and investors both with absolutely stupid ideas. nfs imo cannot be 5 cents and they cant be $500. foils and curios still exist for collectors and are fine unless they print to oblivion. there needs to be a balance with single cards not so low no one wants it and not too high that no one is gonna play. box price i could give a f less about since thats just dependent on if set is good and is it reprinted to the ground plus if youre a true player / collector there is almost no reason to focus on box prices unless theyre the guy that hoards in a closet. what i see right now is the US reaching the limit of reprint which is why ive been saying the us is fine on beta no more because regarding the game piece people if $40 cores is not low enough then at that point it might as well be free which is dumb. I think the rational people talking about this understand we have to be at a middle ground, not one or the other and it seems like you get that so thank you for the refreshing video and takes.
