    It’s, complicated. I actually don’t like her. True, the struggle she felt was real. But for some reason I just have that much sympathy for her. Maybe cause her hate for the other creations just felt so irrational to me. It’s also angers me that it was not her House who betrayed City in future. Or maybe my thoughts were the irrational ones. But the City folks are truly, a cog that is difficult to understand in the New world

      I understand where you're coming from. I agree that her feelings towards those enslaved in Aionios were insane, but at the same time , as A stated, when you lose something of Great value, something you deeply care for like the children that Na'el watched over and where killed, she went into a depression and sometimes when you get into that emotional state and mindset, you may or may not think rationally. Like not remembering that Mobius controls the world and that unless they are dealt with, no one will be safe and free, Leaving someone like alpha to tell her what she wants to hear versus what she needs to hear, not realizing that he was just as evil. Using truth as a weapon to get what he wanted. Then there's her house, while they do agree and understand that Mobius should be dealt with, they still lean towards isolationism thinking it will keep them safe when history has shown otherwise 🤦‍♂️

      Her house is the conservative house which is like the second most influential after Vandham. A lot of side quests talk about house Doyle being conservative and thinking of protecting themselves rather than fighting off Moebius. The traitor being from house Reid has less to do with the founder, Shulk/Panacea, and more to do with the mother being an asshole leeching off of the reputation of the house.

    There were so many people who fought against the super obvious implication about N's sword, and the logic they used was baffling. So while it might not be mind blowing to you or me, it's definitely gonna be a shock to those people. About the scenes referring to Lucky Seven, from what I've heard from others, it's a mistranslation. Apparently, when referring to what's inside Lucky Seven, Japanese doesn't use plurals. And it might be a misunderstanding from what's said in the interview, but it doesn't sound like Takahashi told too many people about this secret prior to answering the question? If that is the case, it's the likely reason for the translation error. It's funny that you questioned Ghondor's age just before getting your answer with the Shulk and Rex question. As it'd turn out, we made things more complicated than they were.

    Took me a while to get around to this, but like someone said before, this video is also better than the previous ones, though the same problems still present themselves. The people watching this will either already know the whole story, or nothing at all and just want to know/get refreshed on the character. Having a recap of the major story in each video feels both unnecessary and makes the video a bit, to say bluntly, difficult to sit through. I like that there's a section for showcasing their fashion, and I think we could use sections like that for other details as well, such as their animations in combat, or cool details like Nikol's jump in the previous video. These are things I'd personality like to see, especially when you start getting to certain characters like the Heroes in 3, or the Blades in 2. Lastly, the thumbnail text is incredibly small and hard to notice since it's thin red letters. Size aside, it'd either need to be bolded, or changed to a more pop-out color, and an outline in highly recommended. I actually didn't realize some of your older video thumbnail had text until as of typing this.

      As always, I appreciate your feedback and honesty. 1. The idea that I had for these videos was to be a refresher or getting to know the characters for people who didn't know them. Although I do admit I could probably not go through every point for the recaps. It's just that unlike the main games, which I won't recap everything that happens once I get to it, the dlc story just gives you enough info to learn about the characters whereas with the main, you can dive deeper into personality and development for the characters. At least to me anyway. Although I just realized that I should probably put time stamps for the parts, which I will add to current and future vids. 2. Glad you like it 3. I was trying to go with the same aesthetic for the thumbnail as the titles for Xenoblade but I will go and change/ fix/ improve the those Again, thank you for your honesty.

    • @vintoplad
      @vintoplad 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@XenobladeDiscussions 1. If that is the intention, then I would definitely say the major story points shouldn't be included. Things like how the world was made and etc. are major spoilers for "people who don't know" and very redundant for "a refresher on the character". Time stamps would do wonders yes, it might also be good to have transition screens between the sections (time stamping would be made easier) like "Introduction" and then "Character Arc", etc. That way you can easily include a warning message after the Introduction section saying "This section is a refresher and will include major spoilers, you've been warned." 3. Ahh. Gotta remember how shrunken down the thumbnail is gonna be in the end. No problem, hope ya keep up the good work.

    To be fair, Glimmer’s Japanese name is Kagiroi, which he name in Japanese characters can be read individually as Hikari Homura. Which are Mythra’s and Pyra’s names in Japanese. If people believe that Rex had biological kids with Blades, then they are also admitting to the notion that thise dog blades have mated with a human and created dog human hybrids. You cant pick one or the other. My throry is that Tora managed to perfect his artificial Blade creation machine to allow for perfect hybrid humans. That would explain why nia, and the aegises have their kids at the same time and why Rex never refer to them as his wives or pertners.

    This is a bit of improvement over your last Xenoblade Profiles episode! The Interesting Facts section is appreciated. That said, there are a few qualms I still have after watching both. I don't think a complete plot synopsis of Future Redeemed from each character's POV is really necessary, especially if you try to do this for non-DLC plots that are much longer. A spoiler warning in the video is also a must, I feel, as in this video you kind of start a plot synopsis without indication. I think if you want to make this more about the character's personalities, and less about what happens to them, it would be more fitting for your channel, but it's your series. You could look more into their reactions in heart to hearts, go more in depth with how they talk to others and each other in conversations, or include more speculation based on what's in the game's text. I'm looking forward to future vids! I was just algorithmically recommended this so that must mean you're doing something right.

    blades giving birth is a topic discussed inside the story and ingame overall in xc2. If you still have a “ discussions” about species you should replay the base game and see them as biological beings, not objects. If blades have human DNA and they also go to the restroom or even more important eat food, they have pretty much human needs. The main proof of capability for reproducing is that some blades and species are not compatible like, finch, wulfric boreas because spoiler alert: humans are not the only species that were a part of the blade experiment back in klaus era. Anyways I kinda liked the idea of the video I just dont like the close mind concept if you were still not open to it.? idk for a fiction story makes sense to me that they could reproduce specially Nia if you know her past and what she is

    • @XenobladeDiscussions
      @XenobladeDiscussions 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Could you please directly and exactly point where in game of two where they discuss blades giving birth. Cuz as far as I can remember the blades can only reproduce by becoming a Titan which then creates more blades. Also in torna, they say blade DNA is similar to human DNA. I even gave examples as do I certain species can cross breed but others can't even though they are within the same family and how similar DNA. Now "if", if they weren't compatible prior to the ending of 2, characters like Nia, which are flesh eaters, then it would make sense for them to be able to have the ability to have children with humans cuz their DNA is closer to that of humans than any blade. However, I will admit, after discussing with other people, that I am more open to the idea that the more human-like a blade is, the more compatible they are with humans.

Why would they explicitly show Pyra and Mythra having SEPARATE children if they're just gonna turn them into the same person? And why would something so bizarre go completely unexplained?? XC3 has a lot of loose ends but this is just such a ridiculous attempt to tie one of them up.

      @XenobladeDiscussions 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not saying the theory is right. I'm not saying it's wrong. The point of this video and it's second part was to discuss any in-game possibilities to see if it is possible that glimmer is a fusion. But Then there's the question, if glimmer isn't a fusion, where is Mythra's kid? Why show them both if you're only going to include one but then that leaves us with two possibilities. Either glimmer is a fusion to go along with the themes in 3 with fusions and combining such as oroboros and Aionios, or they are saving Mythra's kid to be a lead character in future games. Of course there could've been budget and time limitations that could've been a factor if we look at it from that perspective. Either way with how many loose ends were left in three, whether it's good or bad, leaves up the interpretation to the player I think

Unless, after Amalthus became prateor, he actively used a drone Haze, ie fran la Norne, to wiped out blade colony on other titans not in the events of XBC2 and the torna titan before being shackled killed some and Amalthus, when Malos was still working with him, led Malos to massacre free blade communities.

      @Racecrft so like, Blades revert to their Core when their Driver dies. So let's say someone marries their Blade and has a child with them. That child has children of their own, a.k.a the Driver and Blade's grandchildren. Eventually the Driver dies of old age and the Blade reverts to their Core. After some time, a Core Crystal is able resonate with someone new and reawaken said Blade, albeit without any memories of their previous life. Now what if the Grandchild is the one to reawaken that Blade and become it's Driver? That would be weird.

Personnaly I just think she's actually Mythra's daughter and not Pyra's, just that her hair changes color at some point (thus the reason why Rex didn't directly regonize her and Linka said she looks like "them" and not "her mother"). Thematically this conveys too the idea of a fusion between Pyra and Mythra (from the latter who grow more like the first), but also keeps the mystery of the third child (and now with a plot-twist since people expect Mythra's one and not Pyra).

    At first and for some time, I though Blades and humans couldn't have children together, maybe because the line between Zeke and Amalthus that already haunts me would be even more fucked up... And maybe Klaus gives them this gift before passing away. But more and more, and especially after XC3 I now think it was always possible (if the Blade is close enough with an human tho). A thing that solidifies it for me is the fact all Agnian have core crystal. It would be strange that so much people have a "Blade connection", but it would be less if they all have Blades ancestry that some Aionios thing artificially awakened (cloning, Iris system, summoning Blade weapon,..).

    I think Glimmer is only Pyra's child and not the fusion of the Aegis's children. We see in the picture three children: first might be Mio, second has a red hair and third has blond hair. If Glimmer is the fusion of the red and blond, than why Glimmer's hair is only red and not combined red-blond? If red happened to be dominant, why is that the case? Shouldn't it be blond because Mythra is stronger and the "original half"? There is another common theory that Rex's wives raised each other's kids. Glimmer looks more like Pyra but with Mythra's attitude. Mio is very likely to be Nia's daughter, but has personality closer to Pyra's. Mythra's kid in theory should have Nia's personality. Now here is an interesting bit that might put this theory to rest: Na'el. First to note: we know she is Mio's grand-grand-daugher which means she has confirmed Gormotti ancestory. Thing is, she is the only Gormotti with an English accent and not Welsh like other Gormotti. It makes sense since she was raised by non-Gormotti and picked up the local dialect, accent is a taught trait. Mio however does have a Welsh accent, which means a Gormotti had to be her primary influencer growing up, more specifically Nia. If Pyra was her primary influencer, Mio would have an American accent. Rex's kids grew up together, but with their own respective mothers as their role model.

      I think if Glimmer is a fusion, it would be an imperfect fusion. Similar to how Aionios isn't exactly a proper fusion of the Bionis and Alrest. I actually made a two-part video on the topic of the potential fusion theory if you want to check them if you haven't already, and I would be happy to hear your thoughts. But whether she is a fusion or not, I do like the idea that the girls each had a hand in raising each other's kids that you mentioned which honestly sounds like something that would actually happen in that family.

    I'm sure blade's and humans could always have children. Athough, yes, Pyra and mythra are aegis blades, then Nia is a flesh eater an argument can be made those qualities make them different. But, there is another blade that is normal blade, albeit a rare blade, Pandoria. Spiler for Future redeemed Linka is the daughter of Zeke and Pandoria. We don't get much information the piece of the core crystal in Zeke's chest alter's his biology but I'm assuming not as they specifically said that it was to help him survive after an injurt, if I recall correctly. But we do know it isn't the same property as when Rex did it with Pyra as it was a surgical proceedure rather than a ability. So, I've concluded, though I could be wrong, that pandoria isn't that special from other blades to be considered into this discussion. Though, Rare blades could possibly be different from common ones when it comes to compatibility as they tend to be more human/animal-like... or both? biologically and just overall aethetic. But, not sure if we can rule out common blades or not but that's my two cents on this discussion. I like this subject and I love talking about Xenoblade, glad I came across this channel.

      1. Zeke: Yes Zeke's situation was a medical emergency that led to part of Pandoria's core to be implanted. 2. Blades: Interesting theory and one that I can see working with the more human like the blade is.

    • @XenobladeDiscussions
      @XenobladeDiscussions 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not exactly but close. There are some differences between the two especially the blade's life cycle which results in them becoming Titans and some blades are more animal like or are animals which was the original reason why I was a little surprised that the two could mix. But now I'm more in the conclusion that the more human a blade is, the more possible it is for blades and people to have children

    Again, I'm still not entirely sure what convinced you they couldn't mix with humans, but I'm glad you're getting closer to "yep" the more it's talked about. At most it likely only depends on what form of DNA is most active in a Blade, so a human-prominent Blade is more likely to have success, while Blades who are more prominently showing a different species (bird, rabbit, tiger, etc.) will not. I still don't think the Aegis counts in this debate, as you shouldn't apply the laws of regular Blades to them, but for every other Blade it can be put into question for the different forms. Also, your theory about Glimmer is still valid from my pov since I never assumed any Klaus magic happened in the first place.

    • @XenobladeDiscussions
      @XenobladeDiscussions 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I guess I never explained why I thought blades couldn't mix with humans at first did I? I guess it was the simple fact that a blade's evolution ended with them becoming Titans and because there were animal blades besides the humam-prominent ones were the main reasons. With the exception of the Aegis and flesh-eater blades of course. And your explanation was something I didn't consider, so thank you.

    • @CircuitReborn
      @CircuitReborn 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Its actually possible that Klaus enabled the Blades the ability to breed with humans with his last act. The to Titans were obviously being made to join the land and new titans would not be needed. So instead all of the Blades could have been swapped to a new program to allow them to breed with humanity to sustain their kind rather than turning into Titans anymore.

    This is an interesting video, but the sexist comment about Pyra being a "perfect woman" because she can cook well is a bit awkward and unnecessary. Perhaps you only intended it to mean that she fits the old-fashioned stereotype of that rather than your own opinion, however. Pyra's amazing cooking ability is most likely meant to mirror Mythra's complete lack of that skill!

    • @XenobladeDiscussions
      @XenobladeDiscussions 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, what I meant was while her skills and general demeanor was to fit the stereotype, just prior to that I stated that her design was supposed to show that while she seems like she's perfect, there are flaws and imperfections. I also think her skills and general personality have a lot to deal with what Mythra may have thought a person should be like instead of herself, who in her mind thinks was a complete failure after what happened after Torna, hence why she made Pyra the way she did.

    • @Solibrae
      @Solibrae 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@XenobladeDiscussions Yeah, that makes sense. I think that Mythra probably wanted Pyra to be an exaggeration or representation of all of her kind and caring traits, so that she would never again let that destructive Aegis power be used. Although, she might have had some subconscious knowledge of how things were going to happen anyway since she did see a Vision of Rex during the ending of "Torna: The Golden Country"!

    Commenting on not just the video, but some of the comments. I’d say Mio and Linka are proof that having kids isn’t just an Aegis thing. As for Klaus’s gift, I think that might just refer to him giving everyone a permanent land to live on, since that was kinda Rex’s goal from the start. Maybe humans and blades were always able to reproduce. I blame Amalthus and the church. They’ve already outlawed other forms of blade intermingling like blade eating and flesh eating(even though they do it themselves). Jin was right. The church turned blades into second class citizens. As for how I think blades reproduce, I think of two things. First, gem crafting in Xenoblade 1 can result in gems multiplying. Two, Nia talks about synthesis through catalysis with her core crystal. I think that’s how blades reproduce with humans. All of the blade kids look like little clones of their blade mothers because they literally are. They’re conceived through a process that Xenoblade 1 calls “mega heat😏”. And as for the point of this video, Glimmer being a fusion between Pyra and Mythra, I think maybe…But not literally in a Pneuma sense. My case for this is Mio. I think she’s part Pyra. Her personality feels more Pyra than Nia to me(and just to complete this circle, I think Mythra’s kid should be a sassy loli). That and maybe the red braid in her hair isn’t just a string, but a natural patch of redhead. Nia always seemed to be into Pyra and Mythra as much as she was into Rex(cuddling in Tantal, the “nice body” comment, the stage 4 special, Nia’s floating Aegis swords, etc. Now hear me out… All the babies in that photo are the same size. Assuming the fanfics are all true and they were all conceived in the same night, maybe Rex’s DNA wasn’t the only catalyst. In 1’s gem crafting, using partners with high affinity and multiple gems increases the chances of “mega heat😏”, aka gems multiplying. Using multiple gems results in new gems that take on their dominant traits. That’s why Glimmer is so Mythra! That’s why Mio is so Pyra! And that is why kid#3 is most definitely… A sassy loli.

      1. Amalthus and the church: If blades were always able to have children, then I could see the church doing everything it takes to prevent that since they wanted total control of blades. 2. Gem crafting: Hm, that's an interesting theory.
