I used to live in chasetown and now live in south Staffordshire but I worked in Bridgetown and Cannock hospital is my second home. Lol. It amazes me what I can find on TH-cam nowadays lol

1:30 used to be Video Land.

It's certainly come a long way over the years, I remember going with my parents growing up when it was just a park with boat rides, donkey rides, sea lions, a gift shop and cafe that was about it, parking on a grassy field, I think for about 50p for a day out, mum took a picnic and my dad would bring a football, great day out and happy memories😅😊

All English seaside resorts look bleak in the winter ...the water choppy..the promenade deserted...quite the setting for some urban dystopian fantasy

The council should buy it and do the chalets up ,then rent them out as there always short off homes and no one would have to wait to be rehoused as there would be enough for people waiting on the list for a home

Think first stayed here as a kid nearly 50 years ago ,last visit was about 15 years ago ,even so it still had the holiday buzz even though it was a bit run down and a bit shabby ,as long as your with your family enjoying yourself that’s what your holiday memories are about ,suddenly pontins is abandoned, got a funny feeling this place where our parents use to save up for all year to take us on holiday will be a place to house illegal immigrants , well at least they will get some sea air ,bet they might be confused when they can’t see the sea 😄😎
