Highlights from PASMA 50th anniversary celebration
On Thursday 12 September 2024, over 200 of us got together at the Royal Lancaster London to mark 50 years of advancing tower safety. And what a celebration it was.
From the daytime conference to the gala dinner, the room was buzzing with the sound of industry pals reconnecting, old stories being told and magic being made.
With guests aged 18 to 81, hailing from London to Abu Dhabi and covering the whole industry from members and friends to journalists and regulators, the scene was set for an event that would not only be enjoyed but remembered.
Together, we reflected on five decades of progress, cheered for the people who have shaped tower safety and shared our hopes for the future.
Here's all the best bits.

How do you stop yourself falling while assembling a tower?
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
How do you prevent yourself falling while assembling a mobile access tower or tower scaffold? Michael Pitt, PASMA instructor, tells us about the approved 3T (through the trap) and AGR (advance guardrail) assembly methods that mean you never need to stand on a platform without double guardrails in place. This video was recorded for PASMA by Warren Access, in February 2022.

Is it necessary to use horizontal tubes on the same rungs of the platforms, or would the platforms kill two birds with one stone, doing the same job as the horizontal tubes whilst also being a platform to stand on?

I am PASMA trained and own my own tower. It would be nice if PASMA actually considered small business owners rather than constantly referring to "your manager" assuming all tower users work for big companies. Also, some demonstrations in real world scenarios would be nice rather than everything being shown inside a building with a perfectly level floor.

Hello thanks for the video, Im aware of which course I need It's just, I want to know if there is any type of training centeres I should avoid that will not provide the relevant card I need for site work. For example dumper licences are provided by CPCS and In House. In house is not allowed on most sites for dumper licences... Is this the case with PASMA or is it the case- anywhere i see PASMA training centre that provides a PASMA card is the place i need to go? Thanks
