Some images from the universal artwork, finite yet inscrutable.
Why though? It reminds me of Webdriver Torso. Intrigued. Need any help? th-cam.com/video/K2ES_Qyr6Xk/w-d-xo.html
Fantastic moment @ 48:23 ! Very clever.
What do you do with it?
Demitate and seek sesmerization? Cool moments can be their own reward, AND you might find a color you had not thought of, like me around 48.23 - thx 4 sharing!
That was fun. 😀 I want to know more. What year is this from? I'm guessing early 80's? P.S: I did chortle when I saw the credits were illegible due to the visuals.
Amazing
Will there be a 6x6?
it will - 1x1x16M colors and then 6x5 is coming first.
Will 6x6 happen?

THE RIGHT FACING AMONGUS IS MISSING AT 12:14
This looks like the audio visualization of trouble dingle from undertale
What if the 6x6 one was a 24/7 livestream that went on forever until the square was filled
that would probably be the most practical way to do it because if you uploaded it like you do now and every video was an hour it would take about 630,000 videos to fill the square
u guys got it right. What is best way to 24/7 livestream? Recommendations?
11:10 the 25th square turns black
nice...
the first checkerboard pattern is in here omgo omgogm
There is an intersting pattern - first checkerboard to fill the whole sqiuare is 1/3 of the way through the sequence, the second is 2/3 of the way, and the ratio of the first to the second is (within reason) 1/2. Thanks for observing, very cool.
@@uartsifartsi-theuniversala9182 well it is basically x2+1 because in binary you need to add 1 to get the other checkerboard after multiplying by 2
very perceptive. the variance would be using white for 0 and black for 1 vs. the opposite, while counting from zero instead of one. @@DreamerTheWolfFox
@@uartsifartsi-theuniversala9182 im a mathematician. i can smell binary from 10 days before i see it
if this does about 60 flips every second, then to finish all 33554432 possible unique 5x5 b/w images it would take: ~559240 seconds ~9320 minutes ~155.3 hours ~6.5 days (including all-nighters) ~11 days (8 am - 10 pm) ~77.7 days or ~2.5 months (spending 2 hours to watch every day) now if you were to take every single unique 3-byte COLORED 5x5 image, it would be 24 x 25 or 600 bits, or about 4.15 x 10^180 different and unique images which would take 1.92 x 10^175 hours or a number that will look like this: 19 210 720 226 300 893 326 446 332 702 273 894 217 650 214 038 159 430 092 572 487 637 456 725 978 763 463 640 739 384 485 866 221 269 852 767 993 570 836 986 955 533 106 830 610 070 869 846 642 750 527 609 662 320 286 126 858 840 387.43 hours
Huh, 78 days of 2 hours each day, seems, not infeasible? Definitely not a good use of time, but, doable. But, how many frames would one be expected to miss due to blinking? How much effort would it take to achieve a high confidence that each such image has been consciously seen by someone (not necessarily all the same person)? 33554432 = 33,554,432 If you could get a million people to collaborate, then in order for each image to be shown to some person 3 times, you would only need each person to be shown a little over 100 images. (I picked “3 times each” because there’s a fair chance that some people would like, not look at the image, and claim to have looked at the image. Redundancy reduces the chances of that. Though... to get a really high confidence, maybe more than 3 showings would be necessary? How likely is a person to claim to have looked at each of 100 images individually, when they actually haven’t?
seek what you miss, and it will find. Or set to 0.25 speed.
WE'RE MAKING OUT IN CINEMA WITH THIS ONE 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
When, when when will it display the first movie frame of National Velvet (or whatever).
Game of life? What is this
looks like binary counting
@@judefindeed, it is counting in binary. Top level commenter should read the description. It is a video in a series of videos, enumerating all possible, black and white, 5 pixels by 5 pixels, images.
As the grid grows larger, up to 100x100, the 10000x10000 and beyond, EVERY Game of Life possible will eventually be displayed, along with all the "non-games".
using 30fps, to show every possible 5x5 black and white image would take about 13 days if we used a 4x4 "resolution" instead, it would take about 36 minutes but if we go up to 6x6, then it would take 72 and a half YEARS
Oh yeah...unless you superposed every possible state of the matrix in a quantum display to "grok all images at once".

can even sync with music - thanks for + comm

WE MAKIN IT OUT OF THE PSYCH WARD WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
all truth will be ours
hi
hi
0:33 weird thing
yes weird, as if art had "particles" (articles?).
what is this?
These are the first, most primitive images. White and black only (could / will be extended). Imagine how many 10M x 10M black and white images there are beyond 5x5. They are coming - 5x5 will complete this year, then 6x5s will begin.
now do it for every one of the 16581375 colors
:-) in time...
Are you trying to find out the secrets of the universe in form of a image just by trying out all images possible in a very low resolution grid?
Maybe, we will have to wait...
There is a "secret" extension. Imagine how a small image might look like a larger one (a dog, say). Ask yourself - which small images look like my favorite movie? Even if they are crude, are they not somehow related? Maybe we see more as we get more pixels (100x100 for example), but your imagination already can see everything. Every possible image, every movie, humans pull this stuff from imagination.
nice how it fills up in the binary order.
thanks - it is one of many possible sequences, but i like i can predict when a given image will appear. I also call it the "gasoline price counter", but binary not decimal.
Fun
thanks:-)
Heart at 13:28 :)
luv ya
but why
because it is true. These are the first, of infinite many black and white images. Then we continue with the three color images, four color, 16M color and beyond (microwaves, gamma rays, what can YOU see?).
22:25 among us
i see now
where were all the "Black square will never be in the bottom right corner" mfers when episode 9 rolled around
im sayin...
there are 2^25 combinations, or 33,554,432 combinations. 2^5, or 32 combinations, are shown every second (the 5th bit changes every second). Therefore, it would take roughly 246 videos at 1 hour and 11 minutes each to show all combinations.
a little more to prevent skipping frames although we are investigating a report of missing frame from another.
This is such a niche but interesting concept. Writing equivalent is the babel library. Pretty neat!
Just imagine if it writes all secrets of the universe at some point
yes babel library is a subset of all possible images - every page of every book in any order is waiting for us all :-). Also, every picture of every monkey typing every book, at every style desk with every hairdo ever worn and upside down ad infinitum.
Yes - all secrets true false and otherwise, but the true ones...they must be there?
i am so so sorry it's missing at least *one* combination at about 11:33, the one right before the perfect checkerboard pattern
exactly one in fact, the combination 1001 0101 1010 0101 where 1 is black
@@arbitrario3845 I said at least one cause there could be more missing ones elsewhere
It might be TH-cam interface. Still true if you download into a video player?
I found missing images by slowing down playback speed in my settings. It can be tricky to land exactly ONE picture, even when you think it is there.

excellent
bottom row never changes
must watch all other videos now
it changes briefly for certain frames
more coming, over 100 to go before starting the 6.5s.
changes more as it proceeeds. upper right fast, lower left slow, like the ones column and the 100,000s column on an odometer.

yes it does
10/10 video would recommend watching it through
all the 5x5s being released as a sequence
Nice
