HEAVILY Modified Toyota passes Wellsville test!
Went out with a good friend to see this machine in action first hand. It's as beefy as it looks. 4 cylinder engine and a whole lot of fun!.

2008 Ford F-250 V10 Flowmaster 10 Series Exhaust
มุมมอง 69K8 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a complete 3" exhaust with a Flowmaster 10 Series Muffler with a 4" Dual Corsa Exhaust Tip. I have since fixed the movement in the tip and also switched mufflers. The 10 Series has a very annoying drone on these V10s. There are not many 3V V10 Exhaust clips out there so I hope this helps anyone searching for a new exhaust.

This is a vid showing the before and just after getting my Cam Chain Tensioner replaced. It was on the last notch so how it sounds before is about as bad as it can sound lol.

Its a GT-350 Replica w/ a 302 V8 and flowmaster exhaust. True Dual.
Ngl im not a ford guy or a v10 guy but that sounds good as hell🤘🏾
Did this setup have a long tube header as well?
The v10 with thst setup WOT through an underpass is a sublime sound.
A 0-60 on this baby would sound awesome, even though it sounds great at low rpm's as well
these tritons sound like shit with an automatic with the manual u can really hear it come to life
Yeah it sucks they got rid of it for the super duties in the 2011-present generation it would've been nice honestly for more monster loads and exotic high dollar car sounds with dual exhausts.
Awesome sounds great
So what did you replace the Flowmaster 10 Series with? Video of that?
I replaced it with a Borla S muffler. I believe I have a short clip of it that I can upload!
Sounds almost like a muscle car the way it roars and the idle, I hear a diesel too though
No matter what they still sound like 2 rice bikes side by side. Any odd firing odd number of cylinders on each bank will sound funny .
I love how people make contented videos and they never respond to any of the people that have questions
i mean this video was posted 9 years ago
Lol
The start up sounds almost like an Aston Martin v12
It sure did!!
It sure does. Kinda like a DB9 or Vanquish.
Really?!
Honestly you're a g for this
What engine is in this Ford Ranger? (Never had these older Rangers in my country we only have the more recent ones 2008 to current)
Floor that bitch
Where did you buy the exhaust pipe?
The dual exhaust pipe

4.0L v6?
Is it only one or two mufflers?
Victor Mata One muffler
Embarrassing how low horsepower the 4.0 made
It wasn't made for horse power, it was made for torque, those trucks are made for work and they tow really good
@@TrollingSince1991 I agree. Wouldnt have hurt to have more though. I wouldnt mind. Lol
They were very tame from factory, but with a tune, exhaust and an intake you can get torque over 300ftlbs!
I wish I woulda bought the glass pack I've wasted a lot. I've had the 40series 10series now and glass pack also. By far v10 sounds best glasspack.
I have a 99 Ranger, 3.0 V-6...I wanna delete the cats but I see the O2 sensors behind the cats which will throw a code. How do I avoid any codes..?? Need help...
What muffler did you switch to? Any clips of it?
I switched to a Borla S muffler. I believe I have a short clip I can upload of that.
is this the 2.5 inch in/out muffler?
Did u get more power from deleting the cats?
I got a computer readout, because I got high rev when starting my truck. Happened a few times, and then the check engine light came on. Might have found the part cheaper on eBay, but autozone's was 34$..easy replace
How's the power in these. I really like the 4.0l
Not great. They get a little over 200hp and it definitely feels like it. It's enough to do a little towing, but if you're looking for something fast then look elsewhere cause these feel super slow
That sounds fucking awesome
SteelEagle33 thank-you!
what rims are those?
Did you ever find them?
@@brenthall7399 did you ever find them? 😂
@@liamlyda2116 actually yeah on summit racing and on amazon and probably more. Something 94 series
I didn't know there was a 3v v10 I thought they only put 3v in f150s but there's no v10 in them anyway
They made an upgrade back in 2005 I got an 10' 3v v10 best engine ever, now looking into getting a 7.3 Godzilla
@@captainmorgan8854 hey CAPT! I know it’s a year old post, but wondering why your going to a 7.3 Godzilla. I’m in the market for a new to me crew cab 4x4 gas that I can haul our 9000 travel trailer and 2 horse trailer with. My wife and I currently both have matching 2002 7.3 supercab diesels. I’ve really been eying a 2010 V10 king ranch so I can have some updated creature comforts compared to the ‘ol 2002. Do you tow much with the V10? Is a beast like people say? Thanks
What did you change to? Did it have the annoying drone too?
So you've had the exhaust on for a few months, how do you like it? Does it drone or get annoying after a while?
durtbikefool what does drone mean?
Resonance sound at certain RPM's like a buzzing type sound due to the length of the pipe
durtbikefool The Flowmaster 10 muffler droned heavily in the cab. A few months after this upload I switched to a Borla S Muffler and it was the perfect match for this motor.
@@cchsbuzz19 you should make a video update of the exhuast
Does it drown you out on highway
Just keep in mind, all of you with a 4.0 SOHC...yours will never sound like this, because this one is a OHV. Trust me I know, I tried to put a 2 chamber on my '09 and it sounded like shit.
How can you tell this one is an OHV?
+Rangers Edge SOHC debuted in 2001, this one looks like a '93-97 model.
ghunt81 Does SOHC perform better? Also, what exhaust do you recommend for the 4.0L SOHC?
+Rangers Edge SOHC does make more power than the OHV, not a lot, it's rated for 210 hp. As for exhaust I don't know, the SOHC is a little buzzy. Turbo mufflers don't sound too bad, that's what I have on mine.
ghunt81 What about the Dynomax Super Turbo system?
nice sound, i like it. what the size of the rim and tire you fixed?
Sounds like a fuckin diesel
+webebangin78 agreed.
are the two cats on the y-pipe? if so what's that thing after the y-pipe and.before the muffler? I have am 03 4.0 FX4 and love this sound.
Nice mazda sounds really good I'm putting a cherry bomb on mine tomorrow
AntiqueFarmImplement Pretty much the exact same truck.
what do you mean by 2 deleted cats???
This model has 2 stock cats that were removed.
I got a z400 with 440 bbk makes the same sound clattering sound from top end was told it was cam tensioner an or timing chain is stretched out was told if timing chain pops off it will destroy the top end. Does any one know if the sound is the cam tensioner
Mine is making what sounds like a knocking noise once the motor come up to temp. This noise is increase when motor is under a load. I have been advised this may be a timing chain tension issue any thoughts ?
Why do people keep saying not to go there? looks like plenty of people go..
What two cats did you delete? Throw any codes? I have a '06 4.0. Looking to make it louder. How bad is the interior resonance?
are those the new cst pulse tires?
one pipe in and out with a split? or two pipes out
Where does the tensioner go??
basically what your TPS does it tell the computer where your idle is closed as soon as it starts up, this is why ford does not recommend giving the vehicle any acceleration when starting and to let your chimes cycle all the way through. The TPS can enrich or lean out your fuel to air mixture, the way you adjust your voltage is take off the TPS and slighty bore out the screw holes with a dremel or a drill very carefully to give yourself some room to work, then rebolt it on not tight and adjust.
for best performance on these motors, you should set the idle reading between .95-.97, .96 being optimal, you are correct about it not going over 5 but you want to start your levels at idle. this will help your low end- mid range power and fuel economy slightly. but it also helps your idle control so you aren't dumping fuel at idle in the city driving. (4.0L 14 sec. quarter mile credentials)
my tps signal wire is reading 1-1.1v closed. would that be considered bad? Also my truck dies after 5min of idiling but if tps is disconnected it idles better and does not die.
So did you just put a new automatic timing chain tensioner in? Mine is making a similar noise
your truck sounds like a FREAKIN duramax diesel....nice!!! I love that muffler dude
