some tips for you to make kilju you need 2 packages of sugar and half a package of dry yeast and the red bucket filled to 80 % with water then put the lid on and the little plastic thing it will produce 8 litres of kilju that you can sell to your neighbours to get money you already have one package of sugar so you need one more from the store it is somewhere on the other side of the lake you can also fish and hunt moose and bear in this game and sell the meat to the store owner you can dig up worms and put them in the glass jar to use them as bate when you go fishing
Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely give kilju a try and see how it goes. Those fishing and hunting strategies sound like a fun way to earn some extra cash!
@@Hockmed_Gaming I also recommend you celebrate at least once and drink until you pass out. Shout out from Finland o//

Hi i have been puting a gps on the loader when i have been playing.

Love it so far
Thank you so much for the support! It really means a lot to me that you're enjoying the series!
As you are finding, trying to keep everything with you is not so easy. This is why i make a depot of sorts. Just somewhere safe and easy to dump and sort my stuff. There is a nice open space away from the road and with a light on the NE part of Komsodrinsk for such purposes. On the north end of the eastern road there is a paved driveway leading back into one of the industries. Plenty of room for multipe vehicles and a ton of stuff back there. I currently have over 30 barrels stacked up there, as well as a couple dozen packages, a few pallets of bulk cargo, and a corpse pile from hunting up there. Plus a couple vehicles and trailers currently as well as fuel, repair, toolboxes, etc. essentially turned it into my own private yard. And it is far enough away from police to safely store illegal goods, if you are so inclined, heh. I have another similar one in the south and back at the starter home. Leaves the trucks open for cargo and i don't have to try and remember a dozen little places where things are cached.
I am definitely going to need to find myself a depot or two, thanks for the tip!
Want to know if you delivered the furniture to the correct place? Yes, that was the correct one.
Okay good, I was not 100% sure but at that point it didn't much matter anymore. LOL
Contract renewal clarification. Contracts are always the same, they aren't randomized. They simply renew at midnight if you've taken any. This way you can get multiple of the same job if it pays well or is something you want, not reroll for a different job.
Gotcha! So I can just stack up on contracts like they're coupons? Sweet, I’ll definitely take advantage of that!
@Hockmed_Gaming Yep. A common tactic is to sleep scumm. You can sleep repeatedly even when not tired, so if there is a good job you can accept it, sleep to the next day, take the same one again, and keep stacking them. With a canopy bed or trailer, you can stuff hundreds of packages into them without issue, and make one big super load by just sleeping and grabbing the same job repeatedly, then moving it all at once. Sleep scumming is also a common tactic to pass time quickly if you want to get to a certain day of the week. Get to town just after Saturday morning and store is closed and can't deliver? Sleep scumm till Monday. Want to spend more time at the dog track or other weekend activities? Sleep scumm the week away, heh. Personally, I haven't needed to do such because I don't mind running freight and play full survival so if I'm ever truly stuck out, I just go hunting, cook meals, and tend to the fleet maintenance.
Heh, the discovery of illegal goods. I was watching about the only other current English speaking TH-camr of this game and he had so much stuff on him that the fines put him in debt by about 900k.
That is crazy, good thing I haven't been caught yet ;)
Easy and simple, NON-exploitative way to move illegal items. Use a trailer. When out exploring and looting, I'll bring a trailer not only for the extra cargo space, but also to put any illegal items in it. When I get to town for fuel, food, or selling something, I just simply detach the trailer outside of town and come back for it once I'm ready to leave. No faffing about with trying to find all the items and constantly shuffling them around. Then, like the other goods, I just stash everything at my collection point until ready to sell everything in bulk. I currently have 2 different trailers sitting outside 2 different towns each loaded with a number of illegal items I've found.
You can find out what that unknown pallet is by stopping in at Building Goods suppliers and checking their inventory until you find a matching product. When they are open, the items they sell are placed around their lot. Mousing over them will show what it is and what they sell it for, as well as exactly what the item looks like. Personally, unless I know something sells best for a town I'm passing through, I typically just collect everything into a sort of self made depot. I have about 3 semi trailer loads of items stashed in Komsodrinsk, another trailer or two worth of items in Sterlikin and another pile behind the starter home, heh This way, I don't have to worry about trying to justify going across the entire island just to sell 1 or 2 items. Doing jobs and trading goods pays well enough typically so I'm not desperate for money, so I just collect everything from looting until I have enough to make a long distance trip. Some things I just sell locally even if the price isn't the best, as long as the price is close enough. This is mainly due to limitations of the physics engine. Bulk cargo pallets are all different sizes, and some are too large to fit more than only 3 or 4 at most, compared to a dozen or more of other things. The physics problem is that since bulk cargo items don't get physlocked, they are free to move and can start vibrating and moving around even when not touching anything. This causes problems with bigger items because they don't have any room and will eventually launch themselves out of the trailer, requiring a stop to pick it up and repack everything. If that happens on that ocean cliff road or up the winding path, it could be a massive time loss, or even result in cargo permanently sitting in the water, irretrievable. So, I typically sell big stuff on whichever side of the island I'm on, and smaller items, like cement and barrels, get collected until I have enough to make a run.
Since you are on peaceful mode, you don't have animals to hunt. I do quite a bit of hunting and have a rather large pile of corpses behind my starter home waiting for transport to be sold, heh.
Fun Fact! Commercial trucks made in the US for over a decade have had built in safety catches to stop the hood from closing unexpectedly. 2 of my current trucks both have tilt hoods. One of them tilts just past 90 degrees open, making it effectively impossible to get blown closed unexpectedly. The other truck has both a stronger assist spring and doesn't open anywhere near as far. That one I have to hold open in moderate frontal winds to keep it from closing on me. Which it has a few times. Severe Duty trucks like the big c500's still use removable panel hoods. My third truck, a 1975 off-road, Canadian logging truck has side opening butterfly hoods. Being that my newest truck, which is also my newest vehicle, was made in 1989, it lacks a great many of the safety features of modern trucks, including safety catches on the hood, heh. Commercial truck hoods can weigh several hundred pounds.
Interesting game
It is for sure. You can set your own missions or just dig a hole. lol
Doors tend to blend into the walls. Searching buildings tip below. Any building with windows you can see into you can enter. If something doesn't have a window and you aren't sure if you can go into it, use the lean function to lean through the wall and look inside of it. Most things are empty, but if there are people or things inside it, then there is a way inside.
I really appreciate all the tips and info you have been giving me. Thank you so much. This is a pretty fun game.
@Hockmed_Gaming I've been enjoying it quite a bit myself. But content creators have to play their games a bit differently and this one can quickly become a massive time sink with nothing to show for it. But, the pain is part of the game, heh. I've been trying not to spoil stuff by leaving it farther down, giving you the ability to decide what you want to know or discover on your own. Hope it has been working.
The digging is to clear out the ground if you drop something below the deformation layer. Most commonly it will be for finding small items you've dropped like a knife, ammo, or a map. If you drop something completely under the map, it will respawn above you after 10 seconds or so and fall on your head. Which is why things will occasionally fall from the sky and land on you, heh.
You can take multiple contracts at once, and you already do have multiple ones active at once. You had the coal bags, vans, and a package job open all at once. They reset at midnight, so you can take a good job, sleep, then grab a second one of the same the next day. Great for good paying contracts. If you have the room, of course, heh.
Most things don't need to be opened to pour. Water, coolant, oil, alcohol just pours out when it is lined up correctly. You do need to open fuel canisters and barrels to pour them though. Food and drink, coolant and oil do not pour out on the ground so the can be safely tossed around without concern. The last episode you had an issue drinking water, it was too far away. Just bring it closer. Optimal distance is when sitting in a vehicle, it just shows through the ceiling.
Since you had talked to the Relic Dealer guy previously, there is a bug with him. Your last episode you delivered relics and he paid but didn't say anything. This is a big, he is supposed to say about a cache of relics to the North along the Eastern coast that can be reached by following an unmarked road that leads off from the road to the Coal mine. And that there are a group of refugees up there now as well. Because you brought relics, he didn't mention it. If the game didn't bug about that or you had talked to him first, he would have told you.
The truck is already blue. Yes. That is what the blue looks like on that truck, heh.
Yes. Cement is what you sold in Balarsk for about half of what it pays in Eastport. That was a bulk cargo, they pay a LOT more than package jobs. Just 2 pallets of cement pays about 60k profit going from Balarsk to Eastport, whereas the package job from Jacek to Kolovy only pays 40k for a couple dozen packages. You dont need to know all the buy/sell prices. It is listed online, or typically sell things at Eastport since it almost always pays the best for goods. Not every town sells bulk cargo, not every supplier sells the same products, and each one sells for different prices. Some sell for a LOT, but take up a lot of space as well so only can fit a few. If you don't want to or can't spend money on bulk cargo, then industrial contracts are a good choice over package deliveries.
Currently, you don't know when a contract is completed. Contract items are just free freight, and offer bonuses for long distance and such. But currently, there is no bonus nor penalty for completing or not doing a contract
The truck you are driving is the RUS 310. Anything can attach to anything. You can put giant wheels on the smallest car, huge truck suspension, heavy duty brakes on anything, engines, etc. That is a major aspect of the game in that anything can be put on anything and then by using the adjuster it can be moved around and placed anywhere. Even that tiny engine you found does have a vehicle it works with.
It isn't a massive game changer, but it does impact how you explore and the difficulty of certain places. It add much more challenge than food and drink.
You are crouching after jumping because you are hitting your head and the game will automatically crouch you when the ceiling isn't tall enough. Can be quite the hassle when in a covered trailer.
Much welcome. Getting stuck out and losing tons of time is very easy to do in this game. I've been stuck out myself a couple times. To clarify about engine braking. It isn't anything that can be toggled or like an exhaust brake. It is simply shifting down or staying in gear. At max rpm, the engine will add resistance to going any faster and help control the speed going downhill. It is possible to go down the entire mountain road without ever touching the brakes simply by using the engine to control your speed. It is also useful when you are heavily loaded and want to manage your speed without going too fast. Your engine will not be damaged from excessive rpm. And, an update to the torch. You no longer need to press T to equip it in the left hand. It has been updated to pressing F on the torch will automatically equip it in the left hand and turn it on. Much more convenient.
Really enjoy this series while im home on parental leave with my son. Great content, you deserve atelast 10x the views you have on the series
Thank you so much for the kind words. To be fair I am new and need to prove myself more for the views. With time I might get there if not thats okay too. I am having fun and that is my #1 rule.
Since you asked, yes, there are multiple ways to go from one side of the island to the other. The easiest way is to follow the main paved road. If you look closely on the map you will see its route. But taking it to Komsodrinsk takes a LONG time. There isn't fuel in Balarsk, but there is a fuel station in Kolovy. If you are determined to ascend the mountain, then leave the 2 vans up there and take your truck back down the mountain. No reason to haul them down and up again, since it will only lead to wasting a ton more of your time in picking them back up again, heh. They will be fine on the mountain where they are. Just release the brakes and let it roll. Safer and faster way is to aim for Balarsk and then take the bus from there to Kolovy and back with your fuel can. Then drive the truck the rest of the way to Kolovy. Riskier but cheaper way is to try to coast all the way to Kolovy directly. But if you can't, that is a lot more walking. Once fueled, head back up and recover vans once you reach them. You will have a faster ascent and use less fuel leaving them up there than you would trying to cart them back and forth. It is a challenge, but it can be done. I've left a tip previously about how to make the ascent a little easier in a previous comment. It doesn't make it easy, mind, just not eases off some of the struggle is all.
Man you have a ton of tips and great ideas. Thank you so much. I will be doing a lot of them for sure.
@Hockmed_Gaming I forgot to mention that if you don't want to spend an hour running around, it would actually be faster to restart and try again. This time fueling up in Kolovy before making the ascent and possibly grabbing the free turbo before as well. If you do decide to restart and search for the turbo, do it after the first package delivery from Jaceck and before picking up the vans. That way you can fill your fuel tank. The binoculars do actually allow you to see things farther out. Get up on a hill and look about to see if you can find things if needed.
You didn't miss the fuel station in Balarsk. There isn't one. Pretty much all other towns have one though
Items in your backpack are weightless.
The starter truck can indeed make it over the central mountain pass, even in stock form with all the extra weight you have. Though doing so isn't easy. There are a couple ways to make it easier to accomplish in the beginning. See below for tips. One way is to find the free turbo. It is small and doesn't give much power, but it is just enough of a nudge to make the difference. The other way is to remove the engine and lower the drive ratio a few ticks (make the number bigger). This is lower top speed but gives you more power for acceleration. Turbo and gear reduction both is unnecessary unless you are being silly and dragging a trailer along.
Engine braking is a thing in here.
Yea, things will sometimes just randomly disappear and after a few saves reappear. I've had it happen to the towbar, fuel cams, a spare engine and a knife before. I tend to attach the towbar to the front of the truck and tilt it up fully if I need to bring it with me to save backpack space and to prevent it falling out.
Everything in the game has weight and affects the performance of your vehicles accordingly. From the smallest package of cigarettes or empty water bottles, to oversized storage tanks and containers. I like to nudge the wheels outwards a point or two on the vehicles. Both to look better and for greater stability with a wider track. On the 310, I align the outside edge of the front wheels with the outside edge of the fenders. The rear wheels I move outwards as far as I can before they show through the sideboards when they are put down.
Personally, I find sleeping at 2100 to be the best for minimal night. Especially for how much darker TH-cam gets.
HI i just got the game and is fun to me.
That's awesome! I'm glad to hear you're having fun with the game. What do you like most about it so far?
Interesting bit about the development of the game. As much as it feels and plays like The Long Drive, the developer has started this is primarily inspired by My Summer Car.
I could see that. Its been pretty fun so far.
Ah, a new trucker has touched the beaco... I mean staeted the game, heh. Everyone always watchew that fiear cae go by. How much, if anything, would you like to know of the game? Coreectoons, gameplay mexhanics, tips, etc? I try to explain things with a minimum of spoiling.
I always love tips or tricks about games. Story spoilers and such not so much. Feel welcome to share with me.
