hey guys! i got deferred from my dream school today :( (Syracuse University) and i was soooo devastated, im going to check with my counselor to see the best course of action based on the language of the deferral letter (i'm not sure if they accept LOCIs) but i'll update in march once i get my RD! wish me luck and good luck to the rest of you high school seniors <3

The colleges I got accepted to are ranked #15 and #37 in the world and although my counsellor did mention that on my recommendation letter should I still mention it in the deferral letter. Thanks!

Hi, my name is Rishi and I am a senior. I was deferred from Cornell CALS, and will follow this advice! I had a down sophomore and junior year due to personal issues and made sure to put it in additional info. Additionally, I have had a good senior year in the most rigorous classes( 4 AP's and 2 Honors). The major I applied for was Biological Sciences. Currently, I am in my swim season as I am a member of the Varsity Swim Team. One of my primary clubs, HOSA, I am on break due to swim. I will not know if I made it to ILC until March which is when I will get Cornell back. I feel like the only thing I can do is write a LOCI and keep up my grades. Also, the program I applied for is test blind. Do you have any tips?

I have a question, you said we can edit our common app essays and personal statement, but since the early action application has already been downloaded by the college, how would I update them about it, because like they already have my application. Or should I just submit the revised essay as like a pdf in their additional supplements section.
