Honestly, it makes sense that they are shifting focus on Switch 2(and possibly an NSO update). They clearly do not need to support Switch 1 anymore, the ball keeps rolling hard. Especially Mario where one would expect internal developmet, but all the external devs surprisingly came back for their part(RPG was made by what is appearently a Square C-team of sorts, Ttyd is IS as always and M&L has at least part of the original team from Alphadream on board.)

This is something I always try to get through to people. People always think Nintendo is able to release so many games just because they aim for lower level graphics or because they're just better than other companies. In reality it takes Nintendo just as long to make games as anyone else; It was 6 years between BOTW to TOTK, 4 years between Mario Maker 2 and Mario Wonder, 5 years between Splatoon 2 and 3. We almost always get just one smash bros, animal crossing, 3D Mario, and Mario Kart game per generation. Those are Nintendo's core series and it takes forever for new games to come out. What makes Nintendo different is they have so many partner developers to make spinoffs, side games and smaller games in between Nintendo's big releases. Which is exactly what we all want. Nintendo wouldn't be nearly as fun if all we had were mainline AAA games like Odyssey and BOTW; having so much different games to play is part of what makes them so special. Of course not all of them are going to be of the same quality, but the choice is great.

I owned Super Mario Party since it launched, and even though it's been a while, it's not a bad game! It's not the best, but it certainly has it's good parts to keep it from being trash! My family and I loved river survival (we are co-op favs), rhythm action was very unique, and we got to play as Bowser's minions! I hope Jamboree does well to improve on its predecessor and beyond!
