Just saw the ATHF guys in Boston and they talked a lot about this event. They also thought it was completely ridiculous and hilarious, but they were told never to speak about it to anyone. Completely uninvolved as well, except a marketing guy, who had a very bad time, and a nice manager, who became the fall guy and was fired.

It's pathetic how people panicked so easily. O mean you don't have to know ANYTHING about bombs to know a bomb needs actual explosive. You can't just make a couple of C-Batteries and a circuit board to explode. There was no room at all to have fit explosives. Unless it was some type of new high tech explosive that is invisible. Did these people who freaked out really think a C-battery and board could explode with the force of a nuke? Because that's how they were acting about the whole thing. It wasn't these two guy's fault that the city wasted so much money to remove and blow up completely harmless lightbrites with cartoon characters in lights.

I think CN still would’ve gone downhill even if Samples was still president in 2007. Remember, most of the new shows he released during the city and yes era ( pet alien, squirrel boy, krypto, tickle U, juniper lee, gym partner etc) were really sloppy, when compared to the eairler hits like Ed Edd N Eddy, justice league, PI, Johnny bravo, samurai jack, or courage the cowardly dog. Plus in interviews he said that “ although CN will remain an animation channel their would be some live action on the way”. And then came Re-animated in December 2006 which became a tv show that he also greenlit, (he also greenlit the first Ben 10 live action movie to release later that year as well). Oh and Tom 4 was introduced in March 2007 ( meaning that Tom 4 was in development before Samples left, and CCF was facing ratings decline). So even though the dark ages began with Snyder in May 2007, CN was already starting to show signs of decay around the samples era between Mid 2005-2006
