A great start to head race season!
SMC V8 vs Stanford LWTS at Redwood Shores

Great job Gaels! This was our second race of the day and we finished with a time of 7:00. We raced a team known for ranking #1 across all lightweight teams and we definitely held our own! Conditions were a cross tailwind until the 1000 mark, and switched to a cross head wind for the last 1000. Let’s go after LMU next weekend!

We killed it in our start! In this race, we competed against our own 2V4 and Tennessee's 2V4. We finished with a time of 7:05.8.

2017 San Diego Fall Classic RCRC JV Men's 8

We came in 8th behind 6 varsity boats and 1 JV boat with a time of 16:19. Thanks for a great last fall race! (and for Andrew...and for Johnathan)
2017 Portland Fall Classic Willamete Women's Masters 8

We finished third in our race behind 2 Station L boats with a time of 21:21. We had a handicap of 54 seconds. Due to technical difficulties, I had to use photos and my phone recording for the first half of the video.

We finished 1st ahead of Greenlake by 1.3 seconds. I wouldn't say that this race was bogus, but we didn't finish at 11. It was a great first head race. Whether it was Andrew's "ah!", the freshman's puddles, the night in that sauna, Drew's asmr, or the time Sam ate 10 pieces of pizza...we managed to hold our intensity throughout the entire piece. Thunk woosh boys, thunk woosh.

Titanic Tron What did happen with Lyman's F8? Seems like they gained a lot of speed late-season suddenly.
