Polaris RZR 200 Upgrades - Sprocket - Chain - Harness Pass Throughs - Mirrors
มุมมอง 1.4K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video we do some modifications to the kids RZR 200. The mirror set we bought is for 2” or 1.75” rollbars, but with a little extra rubber material, they work great! The 12 tooth sprocket replaces the stock 13 tooth and increases torque. The chain replacement is a higher quality chain that is internally lubricated. I like the video. Are most of the trails wide enough for a side-by-side off-road go-kart?
@@johnspugnardi2743 the trails there are better for atvs and dirt bikes. They have a 50 inch width restriction too. It's a cool place to cruise around, but not for sxs. We have taken go karts and a rzr 200 and had fun though!
To Bumpy! Been there done that
Could you record more videos by this spot of camera?
why do you people have to tear up the roads.. soon they will close all the trails.
@@merrilldobson7062 I'm not sure what you mean by your comment. We didn't damage any roads or trails. We are very respectful while we are exploring offroad trails. Thanks for watching!
What app do you use?
@@elizabethcrowder6633 we use procreate for video editing. For trails we mostly use maprika.
Did you use a shorter chain after you replaced with sprocket or were you able to use the same length and just adjust the tension?
I shortened the new chain, can't remember how much, maybe a couple of links.
Great video!
Thanks!
Wow...that is one heck of a jigsaw puzzle! The number of screws is staggering....thanks for the video!
Yeah, it definitely takes awhile doing it by yourself!
Driving with two feet no good habits there
She's gotten a lot better, this was her first time driving on the trails and we only had the machine for a few days. A lot of go karts are set up for left foot braking and that's what she learned on. She's got it figured out now, she's a pro!
Are you coming out this year with us?
We really wanted to, but it doesn't look like it's going to work out this year.
@@Off-RoadAdventureFamily darn
Aye man be safe on those sand dunes but hope is was fun out there. I wish my parents could get me a 2023 Rzr 200 EFI but sometimes it doesn’t always workout but I’ve been begging them so hopefully I get one,but stay safe out there tho.
Also love the vids
Can it be new shocks to
Do the kids mind the crack seat?
Not at all. I've had this seat for awhile and I still love it. Definitely recommend it!
Heading to silverton in two weeks for the first time with the polaris
It's awesome out there!
What is that pin called?
The ones I used are PTO locking pins
My wife and I did that last September right before Taylor Park Trading Post closed for the year.
This was in beginning of August 2023. It's awesome out there!
I have one
That’s awesome!! I was just shopping around for this.
I'm sure you found the same thing I did. These nets turned out amazing, I wouldn't be wasting my time making and selling them if there was a better option out there!
I have two Rzr 200's for my grandchildren. My biggest complaint is the lack of power/torque for climbing. So gearing them down a bit is step 1. Top speed is not an issue for us, so that trade-off is worth it. I would value leaning about what your favorite upgrades are for your 200.
That's the same for us, we do mostly trail riding. More low end power and lose a little top end and it is much better. The chain and sprocket were a big upgrade on the machine. I haven't looked into clutching differences, but so far the stock one does ok. My son recently rolled our RZR 200 and the harnesses I put in along with his helmet kept him safe. With that said, I just added window nets to keep the kids arms in. I wasn't a fan of the ones on the market right now, so we designed our own window nets and plan on selling them. We will have a video out within the next couple of days with info about these. Check them out on our website if you're interested!
@@Off-RoadAdventureFamily I get the value of the smaller sprocket. But why is the new chain a significant upgrade? I need to learn more about this.
@@darenthayne9428 The chain upgrade is an o-ring style chain. Better quality, self lubricating, and less adjustment needed. Performance wise there isn't a noticeable difference.
Thanks for the tour. we haven't been back to taylor park for over 10yrs. Brings back memories glad the trails haven't changed much.
It's an amazing place!
Can u fish any of those ponds around there ? Looks like a sweet trail ! 😊
There's a lot of good fishing spots in the area, we didn't do any fishing while we were there.
@OffRoadAdventureFamily - What would you say the shortest height could be to drive?
My youngest was driving it with no problem at 6 years old. I've heard of people adding pedal extensions too.
Great video Haggard you really look good shaved. Also I would recommend replacing that carrier bearing cross member with the L and W Fab cross members because one of mine bent. They’re only $120 each and well worth not damaging your driveshaft over!!!

What maps did you use for these trails? Great video!!!!
I used CO TREX free app, but I was also with a group that rides these trails every year.
Is it a 50" or less trail?? New to this…
@@WayneWarren64 This trail allows sxs wider than 50". If you download the CO Trex app, you can select a trail and it will tell you what is or is not allowed on that trail. It's a great app for Colorado riding. This trail is #584 Tellurium Road.
@@Off-RoadAdventureFamily thank you!!
@@Off-RoadAdventureFamily thank you!!
Thank you for this. Just received my new chain and sprocket, and this video made me feel much more comfortable doing the replacement.
No problem, it's a pretty easy install!
How is the heat in the crack of that seat? Does the middle sitting child complain of the heat off the engine
They haven't complained about it. The whole thing is hot inside in the middle of summer. When the kids are riding in the back we take more breaks anyways. Sorry I'm not much help with your question, but they haven't said anything about it being too hot behind them.
I have a 2023 Turbo R, 12mm x 65mm coupler pin off Amazon fits perfect. Thanks for the DIY video, helped a lot with the idea!
No problem. Not the prettiest looking, but pretty cheap! Money saved to spend on the next mod 🤣
Was there in 2018
It's a sweet place to go!
How is it working? Have kids outgrown bench? Trying to figure out if bench seats will work or start with a factory 6 seatet
It has worked great! The middle seat is definitely the limiting factor. The side seats will comfortably fit kids or adults. The middle seat will go up to an 8 or 9 year old, depending on size. We are still using it, but we also try to take the kids mini rzr with us when we can.
How long before your kids out grow the bench in rzr?
The outside seats fit adults, the middle is the smaller space. I'd say the middle will work for 8 or 9 year old, depending on the kids size. We also have a RZR 200 that they take turns in, eventually we will probably trade out the mini rzr for a 570 or 800 for the oldest.
Just bought a RZR with this seat already installed. Trying to figure out what I need to get my 3 girls safely secured in the back 3 seats. Are the 4-point harnesses enough, or should I replace them with 5-point? They're 9, 6, and 4 years old. Trying to see if I should use the youth seats that fit inside of the seats, but not sure if the middle seat can also accommodate it. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
I kept mine with 4 point harnesses. They work really well depending on the size of the child. I also don't do anything super crazy with the kids in the machine.
Hay yo quisiera uno pero no tenemos dinero 😔
Can you post without the music
Never would have thought Kansas has sand dunes.
Me either, I found this place when we were planning our route back from Colorado. It was a fun stop on the way!
Just found the channel, looks like a great time!! I’m subscribed and I’ll be watching the rest of your videos.
Awesome, thanks for subscribing!
How well does it go with three in the back?
It went great, they loved the trails!
I will buy one
Hey, do you recall what these signs said? 23:04 I know it says Jeep Trail on one. I’m trying to figure out what trail we were on on the map.
The signs were too hard to read. This was an intersection off jeep trail, the map doesn't show another name for it either.
@@Off-RoadAdventureFamily Right, they’re quite faded. Providing you have a map, that hill you entered from, was that the orange trail that intersects with Jeep Trail just south of Rolling Rock trail?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's right.
What app do you use?
@@elizabethcrowder6633 A GPS application?? I don’t use one, I just use their printed handouts at the gate.
I love this trail!! I was there a month ago. #TaylorPark
The Taylor Park area is awesome!
Lol
So my voice over says you guys are going down a mountain road and four-wheel vehicles oh my gosh, how fun that would be. Yes, I use voice over because I’m blind.
Yes, it was fun and a beautiful trail in the Colorado Mountains that follows a creek. Thanks for checking out our video!

Nothing bothers him
No le aselera nada 😂😂😂
Wow, I was just there my first time last month. This video bings back... memories of horror, lol. We turned back at be the point 14:05 because I couldn't negotiate the turn and kept falling on a dirt bike, it was only going to get worse onward. Everything is way steeper then they are depicted in the video.
You're right, video never does it justice. The trails out there were really fun, the elevation and grade can make them challenging. We had some guys on dirt bikes and atvs on other trails and it's way harder than a sxs. Thanks for watching!
