The 125 gallon was getting cramped, especially with the new arrivals from Quinn's Fins. The larger haps became refugees in the frontosa tank while the 220 is set up. Soon all larger juvenile haps will be combined in the 220,l gallon tank, and the smaller ones will go into a 75 gallon for grow out til they can join the big boys.

After 3 months, they are no longer toddlers, they are entering their teenage years!!! the fish I got as 1 to 2 inch are all around 3 inch plus, with the bucco yellow pushing 5 inch and gaining tons of colors and fins. The Malawi hawks are also clearly males. The linnies have blue sheen and so does the fusco. the fryeri was a club meeting pick up and he's full bang-on colored for a 3.5 inch fish.

Late June 2024, shipment of fish from Quinn's Fins to add to the predator haps nation. These guys were purchased as size small: buco noto, champsochromis ceruleus (trout), champsochromis spilorhynvhus, nimbochrimis polystigma, livingstonii, rostratus, chilotilapia rhoadesii (breams) and 5 phenochilus star sapphires.

I found a juvenile fusco at the lfsand added him to the juvy predator tank. He was the smallest but he quickly grew and became part of the gang. He kept his color too.

April 2024 growing and growing but still no definitive sexing yet saved for 1 bucco rhoadesii for sure is male.

75 gallon grow out for these juvy haps, 1.5 to 2.5 inch, from Quinn's Fins

These are my 3 to 5 inch juvenile predator haps growing out in the 220 gallon tank. Some are from Imperial Tropicals (hawks, bucco yellow, linnies, gar) and some are from Quinn's Fins (rostratus, bucco noto, chilotilapia rhoadesii, polystigma, livingstonii). The strigatus, taiwan reef, star sapphire and peacocks are from lfs.
