I hope you can help me with my problem with alcohol ink. I have sent you a message on instagram ☺️
so glad i found ur channel ! really helps me to start my crepe paper journey ^^
Ah, you’re very welcome! Let me know if you have any questions when you get started and I’ll do my best to help.
Is that 90gsm?
It’s the German heavyweight crepe, which is 128gsm, but the techniques should work on most other crepe papers too.
Thank you😊
You’re welcome! Happy flower making!
Beautiful flowers
Thanks so much!
The modge podge is to strengthen and make the paper shinier?
Yes that’s right, it does both things! Because this leaf has quite a big curl on it, the mod podge helps it to keep the shape too. Even if you use the matte finish, it makes the paper shinier, but you could also use the gloss version if you wanted it to be even more shiny!
Does the paper retain it's shape when using the alcohol/alcohol ink or does it change the paper's integrity?
You just need to stretch/shape it once it’s dry, but the integrity of the paper is the same as before you use the ink.
I have like art alcohol markers. COuld I use the basic alcohol to wet the paper, and the markers to apply the color? I imagine I'll need to brush the color onin one area for it to get saturated and spread out as it did with yours.
I think it would depend on the particular markers you have. With some of the higher end markers, possibly. But it’d probably be easier to just buy a few inks if you can. Certainly with some of them you can blend them using isopropyl alcohol (that’s usually what the blender markers have in them I think). But I suspect you’ll end up with more of a precise area of colour rather than a colour wash or gradient effect. Which can equally be a nice effect to use, but probably not the technique you’re looking for! I think the best bet would be to just give it a try on some scrap paper so you can do a few tests and see if you like the results. I’d try wetting the paper first that’s most likely to be the best technique. But also try marker first with then brushing the isopropyl over it to blend it out, put more at one end and then maybe do a few passes over it to break up any hard lines from the marker. I hope that helps, let me know how you go on with it!
I love your creativity 😊
Thanks so much! ☺️
Very nice. Thank you!
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it! ☺️
Horrible music
Each to their own 🤷♀️ Just mute it if you prefer! It’s not really about the music anyway!
@@TaMuchlyPaperBloomsyes you are right, too bad, such beautiful work.
Lovely! ❤
Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much for such a detailed tutorial. I'm going to buy sme mod podge, but it's reallly expensive in my country. which one you prefer for paper leaves? matte or glossy?
You’re welcome! I hope you find it useful. Personally I prefer the matte, it’s still has a bit of a shine to it and looks more realistic. But the glossy would still work if that’s all you can find. Are you able to get delivery from Amazon? They usually have it pretty reasonably priced, but it just depends where you are if it’s worth it for delivery! Here’s the link if you can - amzn.to/3vaWqMg
OMG - you make this look so easy.
Thanks Lisa! I think it can be quite daunting if you’re not sure of the process, but hopefully this shows that’s it nothing to be scared of!
Thank you Michelle❤
Thanks Paulyn, you’re very welcome! Hope you find it useful! 😊
How come your leaves do not wrinkle up after applying mod podge?
Hmmm, I’ve never had them wrinkle from mod podge? It’s basically a glue rather than anything water based, so it shouldn’t make the paper wrinkle. Are you just using it straight from the pot or watering the mod podge down maybe? If so, try using it neat and that should make a difference.
@@TaMuchlyPaperBlooms , thank you very much for your answer. I use it straight from the pot. I never water it down. And I use German and Italian paper.
Oh how strange! I wonder if maybe using thinner layers might help? Maybe if it’s too thick that might be the issue? You could try doing a thinner layer (or multiple layers if you need to) and let that dry fully before doing the other side of the paper.
@@TaMuchlyPaperBlooms , do you maybe make your leaves from double thick paper?
@@gtatianal I usually always use the German heavyweight crepe, I’ve occasionally done double layers and haven’t had any issues with the wrinkling, but typically I’ll do one layer.
❤ this video
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
I’d love to see what it looks like stretched! ♥️
@@lisadenison389 So this petal was almost completely stretched before I started, but as the paint dried it did shrink a little bit. I For the stem wrap that I painted (coming soon!) that actually shrank quite a bit as it dried, even though it was fully stretched to start with. As I restretched it there were a few tiny spots that didn't have paint on, but I was pretty impressed with how well it covered. Acrylics are generally a little bit flexible, so that helps if you do need to stretch it more. It also helps if the paper is a little bit watered down, if it's too thick I think it'd be more likely to crack as you stretched it. I can definitely show a few different examples starting with stretched and unstretched paper etc, compared to how they dry - thanks for the suggestion! I'll try and get that up next week for you! Thanks Lisa!
Hi, did you have a link to be able to purchase the svg for these please? 😊
Hi there! Absolutely! Yay! Thanks so much Lisa!
Amazing video ❤️
Thank you, glad you like it! ☺️
Love the purple.
Thanks so much Lori! 😊
Would love a tutorial on how to create the center “pods” for the coral charms!
I can definitely add that to my list of upcoming tutorials for you! Thanks for the suggestion!
I used to make things with colored Crepe Paper as a kid and remember how QUICKLY the colors faded....is there such a thing now as "color fast" crepe paper?
I don’t think it will ever be completely color fast, because the manufacturers have stated you need to add quite a lot of chemicals to achieve that, and they want to keep the paper as safe as possible. However in my experience the German crepe from Werola is a lot more color fast than any others I’ve found. I’ve had some flowers made with that sat in my window for several years and they haven’t faded! Whereas some of the other papers fade within a few weeks! Particularly the green Italian crepe I’ve found tends to turn a horrible shade of brown really easily!! So I make sure not to use that one! Typically if I want to make sure something won’t fade then I spray it with a coat of UV protector spray, and that helps massively. It will also help to keep it out of direct sunlight.
Why you like talk eeeeeeeeeeee
Sorry, I don’t understand your comment?
Hi, do you have the links to your scissors and padded wires please? Thanks 😊
Absolutely! Thanks so much for checking. These are my favourite scissors - amzn.to/3NdGiPY For the wires, I've listed a few thicknesses below for you - 16 gauge - amzn.to/3NePAuG 18 gauge - amzn.to/3Gup397 20 gauge - amzn.to/3t5wAYW 22 gauge - amzn.to/41aQbUa 24 gauge - amzn.to/3NiB1GD Hope that helps, let me know if you have any questions as you're making your flowers! Thanks ☺️
Quedó precioso! Me sorprende que tenga tan pocos likes. Me encantó, gracias 💕💕💕💕💕💕
¡Muchas gracias! Es muy amable por tu parte. ¡También tengo un tutorial paso a paso en mi canal para esta flor si quieres probarla!
That does not look 14" long??
Hi Wendy, good catch! The finished strip should be about 14", after it's stretched, I appreciate that may not have been so clear though. Don't worry too much about the exact size for the fringe though, as long as it's roughly the same there's definitely some flexibility with this part! Hope that helps!
Amazing video ❤
Thank you!!
Thank you for this video.. it's help
You’re welcome! I’m so glad you found it useful!
Your tutorial is perfection.I have just started making crepe flowers 💐
That’s so kind of you, thank you! I’m so glad you found it helpful!
What is the weight on this paper? And whats the best to purchase? Thanks
This one is using heavyweight German crepe, I really like to use the Lia Griffith heavyweight range although it can be hard to find depending where you are in the world. Werola also do a similar 160 range which is worth trying too. A good alternative is also the Italian 180, which is similar but does have machine lines in, and you need to take a few extra steps if you want to make it colour fast.
@@TaMuchlyPaperBlooms Thanks so much
You made it look so easy. I appreciate the attention to detail. I may give this a try, I love hydrangeas
Thank you! I have a step by step tutorial on my channel that you can follow if you do want to give it a try!
Tip for you..... buy one fresh flower, destroy it en make a template of the blades , sorry for the flower but it make the best templates
Hi Eugenie, thanks for the suggestion. I actually do use that as a starting point for almost all of my templates, however when you’re working with crepe paper you also need to allow for how the paper will move and stretch as you shape the petals. So there’s a lot of tweaking and adjusting to get the shape right to be able to make a crepe paper flower from the initial real flower! It’s a lot of work sometimes!!
Materiales para pintar ese papel el q tengo no permite estirar se rompe a los pétalos
Have you tried using inks rather than paint? That might help. Alcohol inks are a good one to try if you’re able to get any. If you do want to use paint then I would suggest trying watered down acrylic paint, that’s probably got the most flex to it.

¡Suena asombroso! ¡Buena suerte con eso!
