The 360 degree sunset effect wasn't something I heard people talking about. I almost didn't notice it because I was looking up/in the camera at the eclipse. The 360 sunset effect was just about as amazing and beautiful as the eclipse itself. Thanks for capturing it.

Eric, This is fantastic. We saw the 360 sunset in the 2017 eclipse but i could not get a good photo of what it looked like. This is genius! Thanks for doing this and posting it.

Question: my chimney needs to be rebricked. Ive got a gas fireplace so it needs venting but wondering if its cheaper to rebrick or cover and vent out the side of the house?

Thank You for sharing. My mother also was on Queen for a day and she won. I can't find anything on her win. Her name was Shirley Crockett. She was a mother of 6 children which 3 of those children I am one of them were born with cleft lips and palates. All I know from the story, is that she asked for balloons so her children could use the balloons for speech therapy, by blowing them up over and over. Well she ended up winning I have a picture of my mom and dad when they went on a tuna fishing trip that was granted to them as one of the prizes. She also won a Buffett chest, some lamps, and a Queen for a day watch which I still have. I have searched everywhere. It was between 1960 to 1963, I was about 3 years old. All I remember about that day is her coming home and we ran out to greet her as she arrived. We were all excited. We lived in Redondo Beach, CA at the time. Also is a picture of her with the crown somewhere in our family photos. Anything you could do to help if possible to locate this tape would be much appreciated.

It's cool what you doing for your grandmother but that show is horrific it was just putting human suffering on display for for entertainment and pitting one family suffering against the other families suffering

Excellent time lapse w/ the dual windows showing inside and outside at the same time! A few questions: 1. It looks like this was an exterior loadbearing wall? If so, is there a reason why you did not brace the ceiling - was it because you added your door frame support pieces prior to cutting the hole in the wall? 2. Did you secure the threshold to the slab somehow? I might have missed this w/ the speed play but I watched it twice just in case I missed it. 3. The conversation about the hinges - I'm guessing you didn't use an outswing door because of availability (this is presently my problem - trying to find an outswing door? Was the door you did use a 'converted' inswing door that you turned around and then put on those tamper-proof hinges? Just trying to understand why the hinges are on the outside. Thanks, and again, great video!!

Eric Wells, this is too awesome! My Mom won Queen for a Day and her wish was to have her three daughters and husband join her here in America! We arrived in September 18, 1958 and we're there on the show! My mom died in 2000, and my Dad recently passed on September 1, 2021. We have not been able to locate any footage, however, you've given me a clue with the radio station in Olympic Washington. Please let me know if you recall coming across that footage during the search for your grandma's footage! God bless May the Angels be with you, and protect you.

Looks like If the door was installed to the right about 5 inches you'd only have to remove 2 of the existing studs (studs in the new center of the door). I'm planning on doing this to my garage and I want to remove as few studs as possible. Is there a reason why you didn't go that route?

Wow thank you! my grandma won queen for a day as well in 1957 And the copy of her digital wheel or the 78 record (i cant remember what its called) was damaged in a storm many years ago. I'm trying to find some footage of it but I believe it was damaged so no one has any copies. Your very lucky to be able to find this. Thanks for sharing

Great job and very helpful for my project plan. However, by having the door swing outside the garage, doesn't that pose security risk by popping the hinge pins out and pulling the door to get in?

I've been watching chimney demolition videos recently because I keep thinking of a terrible tragedy that occurred in Port Clinton, Ohio, 3 months ago. I must say though, great video. The fireplace that my house has is a fake, and the chimney my house has connects to a furnace.
