Is this just a reskin of the original Air, Land and Sea game? Or does it introduce any new rules?

Hey! Aeon's End was my first deck building genre game and it's my second favorite game after the Lord of the Rings LCG by Fantasy Flight Games! I just discovered it last October! Shards of Infinity is the only other deck building genre game I have! That's pretty neat that your two favorites just happen to be the ones I have!

I absolutely love Aeon's End. As soon as I saw it and learned the mechanics online, I knew I had to get it. I first got the Legacy of Gravehold, which was both a massive challenge and a happy time for me. Now, I am getting bits and pieces of the expansions. I am currently creating custom spells and gems, which is a lot of fun for me.

Working on adapting this into a campaign for my 4 and 7 year old, and setting it in the Narnia universe, and also setting the difficulty for two level 1 characters instead. Would be willing to share when I'm done. This video is definitely helping get a grasp on the pace and important points though. The goal is to split this into short 1ish hour sessions to keep their attention, and changing some of the more conceptually difficult items and monsters to simplify them and add some randomness and fun! Thanks for the video!

One thing I like that Brennan Lee Mulligan does - routinely gives his PCs the DCs (once they commit) so they know what they need to hit on the roll, which hypes the result. That gets folks cheering/lamenting rolls that aren't just crits right after the roll. They see that 12 and know straight away that's the baseline they needed to succeed.

What i do when running multiple of the same bad guys in a combat i rune slight variation on the health up and down by five to ten hit points depending on the party.

I have Forbidden Stars with the Galaxy in Flames fan expansion. It is also an amazing asymmetric masterpiece. Now I'm planing to have CITOW too.

One more think you should mention is the entry level to this game: it's really approachable for asymetric game. Each turn you choose betweeen Recruit/Move or Play a card. Very elegant and timeless classic. PS. Dice combat is still awesome after all these years even tho it's very wonky with exploading 6s.

This game has a serious "Wanderhome" vibe...

I'm going to run this with a group of people who are all new to the DND world might do it as a standalone or just have it waiting as a side quest in another campaign. I already recorded the audio of the story to include somewhere

This is such a well-made and thoughtful video on game design! I’ve had CitOW on my shelf for years, I’m a massive Warhammer and board games fan but somehow never got around to playing it… That’s going to have to change next game night!
