your account is very great and interesting.. only 2 mins in but. I find this to be an interesting dichotomy. A U.S. Citizen who fantasizes about living in China because of gripes with liberalism, e.g. people who are averse to trans stuff, and so on. They would prefer more cultural homogeneity, and nationalism, etc. A Chinese Citizen who fantasizes about living in USA because of gripes with authoritarian CCP (generally you wouldn't know until you move, which makes this case a bit more interesting). They would prefer more freedoms, and diversity, etc. I'm more on the US side, I feel that there has been a lot of chaotic factors in the process of liberalism, that overtime will lead to its destruction. The grave issue to me is how the Uniparty functions in the USA, vs in China. I believe both are authoritarian, in a sense I believe every state is a dictatorship. But, I believe the US issue is they use the notion of "free speech, free debate, liberty in the sense of liberalism, etc.", to act as if there is more differing viewpoints then there really is, and what is politically viable is quite narrow insofar as it enriches establishment bureaucrats based off whatever lobbying group is most powerful. This dishonesty, is central to why I think I would prefer a state like China. In my eyes, I think China is honest about their dishonesty in a way. OFC they try to cover stuff up, but, e.g. they call their media 'propaganda', literally. The USA, the media is propaganda, but, the propaganda is only whatever the other side is on, my side ofc is not propaganda! This strategy is used by the elite class, to divide the masses on real issues. That being said, if I was born in China, I can easily be seeing myself on the other side. This Schopenhauerian tendency for an individual to will a land that is antithetical to their homeland, is very interesting. Is it always a grass is greener on the other side, or is there truly one nation in the right?

Chinese have a history of making use of religions for the purpose of bloody revolution. The death toll of Tai Ping Tan Guo (a fake Christianity cult) caused a death toll of 75 million. At the cost another 50 million human lives, the Chinese chose to overthrow the ROC which is a country of freedom of religion and with its president and first lady being Christians. Today's CCP government knows that they need religious people, but not in an uncontrolled manner possibly just for the sake of those Chinese died in vain.
