You know, I never liked the word meta, it always put a bad taste in my mouth. I usually prefer to go with obscure and underrated strategies in games. You gave me a bit of appreciation for meta in this one simple video. I will still not just be a meta slave but at least it does not feel as bad to hear the word anymore. When I get in a better position in life, where I have the time and resources to devote to this game, I have a march in mind that let's face it will not win against most things but eh games are about having fun above all else and I have always wanted to see the true strength I could bring out of one specific hero. Nothing would bring me more joy than winning even once using my all-time favorite hero in the game at her highest potential. You will hear from me in the future when I have accomplished this because I absolutely love your videos and think it's an awesome thing that you do! I am sure I am not alone in saying how much I truly appreciate all the time and effort you put into informing us fellow noobs as much as you can about a game that we all love. Great video, thanks. What are your thoughts on things like enigma beasts, queue companions, guarding effect, enigma field, exclusive HTs like Blade Angel, etc, etc, etc that can only be achieved and experienced by big spenders? As you cover in the video, most low to mid spenders are basically just trying to keep up with the meta as best as they can. Point being, two different sets of players are having two different experiences of the game. Is that okay? If not, how would you suggest TW bridge the gap because all they seem to do mostly is release more and more big spending updates to the game. I know T-me has addressed this a few different ways but curious as to your thoughts. Thanks 😊

I rarely keep up with the meta but through extensive "science " in the time clash arena i do pretty well with odd hero set ups getting all i can out of the hero order and titan gear runes i might get lucky with my planning and hit every 3rd or 4th meta😂

Since the shift to the current hero stats after Transformers 2 (quite some time ago), picking great marches has required more care. It used to be pretty simple: pick heroes A, B, C for branch X and you'll beat all that came before, consistently. But now my testing suggests even Meta marches aren't consistently beating the one they replace, it's much closer to 50/50. Other factors become just as important: hero skill synergies, available Titan Gear special effects, Heavy Trooper effects. The best march any individual player can put together is much more nuanced. I think that's great because it means chasing the best hero combo is less important than it used to be, opening up other areas of account development as worthwhile strategies.

This is so true😂😂😂, and when the shift happens a person can be so demoralised and demotivated. I had the meta from akatora 3 or 4 years back and it changed just before eternal lands. I then, instead of running after the improvement, i used my time to collect for 3 hero replacements and setting up a perk farm.

I think most of us save up enough gold shards and skill shards every 2 meta changes i still trying to get enough for quill and nelle but by the time i do new ones will be out

i used the universal hero combo of gipsy striker asuka for sooo long...i upgraded to poo, and now replaced asuka with leon..but it was not really that much of an upgrade. the one thing i like about this is that i can still use gipsy and asuka for my air or boat march that will perfrom decently in the right supression fight. the most important thing from the video is to not jump the gun on any new hero....and make sure its a justified power jump for your resources. if you are running 2year old++ heros its probly about time to replace em when someone strong comes out. but gipsy -> poo jump is not nessesary. the same can be said with snake to leon...yes they are both better but not by alot.

I know this is an older video so things might have changed… but as far as I can tell now, when you get to the end of round 4 it does not start over and go back to round one. So no way to get a second round with the ES boxes.

The best deals for decor shards in large amounts I’ve seen are during the bargain events where they show up as 500 for 4000 tokens which work out to about 12 cents per shard (and you can buy up to 10 of these I believe)

The hero skill shards are also a better deal in here. In the Value Packs, skill shards are 80 for 4.99 with the double rewards. That works out at 1.56 per level 1 hero skill. With the 0.99 Blue Coins, they're 1.3 each. There are always good heroes on offer in here, so saving coins over time could be a good way to help level up a hero quicker.

Thank you for your clean simple explanations of this game. It makes playing a lot more enjoyable. My hope is that you can share with people how to setup their marches for PvP, WB and other events where you need to hit something for score. I’m not referring to which heros do the most damage, it’s pieces of equipment that we should be using on our marches that enable a person to maximize their score using whatever hero’s they are using. Thank you and keep up the great job.

Great video. First thing I did was get the yuu and the skill. Was about 25000 gems. Ran out of tries for the day so I had to get 9 shards from the skill store because I have no patience. Great tip. Thanks

My biggest problem with gems is how many I burn through in SvS or Titan Canyon. 7-15k in each event. Is the amount of gems I’m burning up in those events fairly normal?

thanks! i finally got Bailos on my older server. and it's coinciding with the gem points, so the spend isnt all in one spot. but yeah my older server hardly spends and it takes so long to accumulate the gems just from playing the game as a free to play

I did Bailos this round and Salina before this for their Lv5 Exclusive skills. It is gems but it is normally at the same time as Gem Points event. that gives ES shards

Be nice to get more of these old heros in the island store to, plus ones to complete the hero bonds. Appreciated as always.

On my account I have all small boost from all the level 5 skills. neried level 7 is going to take me a while, because you cant throw all your gems there. it helps to open up hero bonds and things. topwar wont put recent heroes there. 💪💪

There is always the right time for everything. If TW could upgrade this event or make those heroes somehow usable .

I don’t understand people hording gems. Another great way to grow fast is turning military tickets red and expedition rushes. 27 cic 27 name tags and gears a week doing that

Just getting into this game seems fun but a lot to learn

I like this one because of the length of time so I did buy the bonus prize levels. I'm a low spend player and am going for the base skin simply because I don't have ANY base skin and I will finally have one. I'm at 600 coupons so this is looking good. I'll never compete with the whales, but figure having one base skin will be a nice long term help and I am a daily player.

Noob, Only a fool uses gold shards for perk upgrades. Use gems and the free ssr hero shards you get from recruitment to move the perks around. It takes 440 shards to max a perk. By waiting to get 100+ old ssr shards before using them

Good breakdown brother. Regarding Leon. My tests shows : Hero is solid BUT the march synergy is another thing . I don’t see Leon (from lvl 5 perspective) + offense +defense hero (your call which ) to be better then : Quilly + marvi + nelle

I'm a lower spender than you on these events. My strategy is slightly different. I picked up a good base with the Kung Fu Panda event. I usually buy the 4.99 upgrade pack on day 1, followed by 0.99 Value Packs on subsequent days. This event looks quite good in that we get 3 of the missiles in a basic pack. This way I benefit from the extra missiles from the daily spend task. At that spend level, I reckon the best value is in the exclusive skill boxes. (I don't have a full set of 5*,ex5 heroes on all marches.) It's also one of the few ways to get a lot of them for low spend. 30 boxes on offer means a minimum of 300 skill shards and an expectation (average) of 600. I should easily achieve that, probably for less than 25.00 spend, making it quite a cheap way to get exclusive skills.
