Optio Drive Assistant Tutorial - Project File Transfer from Gem Drive Studio to Optio
In this Optio Drive Software tutorial by Infranor, we go over transferring an older GEM Drive project file to the newer Optio Software for the PACHP and Easy brushless servo drives.
With the GEM Drive software no longer being supported the push to use our newer and more feature-packed Optio software is evident. The transition is made easy by keeping older project files still functional with the newer software and servo drives.
GEM Drive to Optio Project File Transfer:
Open GEM Drive software and connect to the drive
Save the project file from GEM Drive on the local directory
Open Optio Drive Software
Auto-detect to the connected drive.
Load the GEM Drive project through Optio using the File window.

    Is the inner celinder of the Slotless motor made of an insulative material or is it just steel?

      Hi Zakaria, The inner rotor is made up of steel and magnets with a fiberglass wrapping for added magnet adhesion. The wrapping allows these motors to reach high speeds with no magnet failure. Let me know if this answered your question. Thanks!

    Can you please tell me which motor design is best for low rpm high torque application? Also what torque can you expect from these motors?

      Mitch, thank you for your inquiry! This is a good question and there are a few things to consider. Firstly, historically slotless motors were significantly more expensive and this is true for most of our competitors because the manufacturing is more difficult, but we have invested in a newer design and removed much of the manufacturing burden so our premiums are only about 5% typically. Secondly, slotless motors do have higher inertia (about double) and this can be a disadvantage if your total system inertial is very low or about equal to the motor inertial but in most application the system inertia is typically 10 times the motor inertia so there is very little disadvantage. In fact in the vast majority of cases the higher motor inertia is a benefit because tuning is easier. The third thing to keep in mind is that if you want to achieve the greater torque this motor can produce you will need more current from the drive so a larger drive may be required to achieve the full performance the motor can offer.       @@pratikraut7552 Thanks for your question. Typically, our FP [three-phase brush less and slotless] range of motors have an insulation max temperature of 155 C. They come in 8 different frame sizes totaling 16 options including different stack lengths. Voltages go from 48 Vdc to 680 Vdc. Depending on the voltage used and current available from the drive we can get up 55 kW max power. We are capable of a lot of customization including windings, shafts, flanges, feedbacks, cabling and so on.
