Tumwater Canyon July 2024
Whitewater Kayaking late July on Tumwater Canyon of the Wenatchee.
From "The Wall" rapid down to the Brown Bridge takeout.
My first time down most of this. Best to try this at low flow first.

Above log jam rapid things went wrong fast. Swimmer went river left , boat end up river right just above the log jam. Would have been very hard to get the boat over the jam. Always better to send the boat over rather than drag the person, All worked out. Forgot to turn the gopro on for the next big rapid. Epic day out !

My first time down Pilchuck Creek, WA. Medium water level. Paddling my second hand Pyranha Scorch (only slightly dented) Hard edges and planning hull make it still fun.

For the dozens of times I've driven that canyon I've wondered if it was possible to kayak down the Tumwater. Well, now I know. Great job! You make it look easy.

Keep at it. After you get used to the boat you won't tip over as often :)
