Yes , only focus on your emergency fund, if you can keep a higher buffer in your bill acct.. Never include child support in your monthly budget until you actually have the payment..

What I do is any money left at close out I add to next months budget.. please note that child support is never a guarantee don’t include that until you actually get it.. some months may be more some may be less .. therefore you will be prepared if and when it comes less.. remember things happen in our lives that may even throw the other parent off financially as well…. But God got you when things happen like the AC in the car.. continue to add to your emergency fund even if it has to be less then you budgeted .. your food budget will go up and down .. blessings to you and your family.:

Have you looked at going to the food pantry to help with your cost maybe your church has one.

Just reviewing your videos, one thing that might help your budgeting journey would to pull out cash for the things you spend like groceries, gas, sinking funds to keep you in budget paycheck to paycheck. Because of your financial situation. I would not use a card to pay for gas. Credit score is not going to help if you are using cards to make up the difference in expenses. Or open a second bank account to put your cash expenses in to keep it separate from bills.

you don't need a credit score to purchase ahome- its called underwriting. Look up David Ramsey- he can explain better. You commented that you don't like debt and an unpaid home is considered debt. Or you can pay it off in less than 15 years if you avoid the PMI and put 20% down payment to avoid interest in the long haul. Hope that helps.

You will be FINE. Literally in the first 3 minutes you've said enough to indicate, in my opinion, that you're practical and realistic and willing to prioritize your spending. You will do great! Keep going and dont let people convince you it's weird to prioritize money the way you see fit. This is what I dislike the most. I'm also single parent and still mow my own lawn because it's not worth $$ to me. People always comment about it, someone called me a peasant. Whateva--I have savings and they have debt. 🙂

I was thinking that maybe you should try and put a plastic tablecloth on your table. Might help keep everything on the table and help clean less. Blessings!

Wow. What a gift this video is! I learned so much. I had no idea about 100% of these issues and how they impacted not only the orphanage kids, but the whole system. Kids need kerosene and food, not name brand clothes for a photo op. I wish 100 million people could see this. ❤ Thank you.
