03:45 why all the hate for fuckboys?
I liked it
George Burns was an highly endearing comic legend.
“I’m liberal buts it’s totally embarrassing and unsustainable at this point” hahahaha yes
Lmfao couple people in the comments took it pretty personal. Looking like reddit in here
The 3 comments that don’t find it funny means they are taking it personally.. wtf..?
So you get on stage and screech like an injured bird? I dont get it. I'm 100% serious, I had it on as low as my phone goes, and it was unbearable. Never have i hated a performance so much.
Yikes go back to your barista job
:)
Waiting for the joke ..
...Eh? I get why its supposed to be funny, but it feels a bit forced.
I go insecure to arrogant pretty quick offt yeah
😂😂😂😂
Whenever you two are talking about straight cis women being successful in main stream comedy Ali Wong comes to my mind! I have always loved her and she really outdid herself with her newest special IMO. 🎉❤ Ashley is definitely my favorite female comic though and I foresee many Netflix specials in her future! 🎉🎉
What a great dialog, thanks for sharing with us!
Robby is amazing. Love how she can break down the issues!
crying 12 minutes in
😂😂😂
Finally someone said it
Thank you <3
Constantly saying she has a victim mentality is a very privileged perspective she clearly had a rough upbringing that sort of thing impacts you for the rest of your life only people who’ve experienced that know that kind of imprint. Sure privileged people’s problems matter, but they don’t compare to less privileged people’s struggles.
This gave me a good perspective! Just gotten priperly out of a 5 half year on and off relationship (he broke up with me randomly on snaochat) and he was my whole identiy basically, i lost myself with him, my friends, social life etc half my fault, half because he would make me doubt the friendships and i feel so lost and stuck but this has helped me and im only halfway through
Ali, if you dont want your boobs, I'll gladly adopt them. Mine beg to be BIGGER than B cups. 😅
I need to take note of Roby’s parenting. I also come from a big family and felt alone at times. I pushed myself and the desire to be someone. Not a lot of guidance or money
the host is so cagey and weird. Hate her personality so much. Robin Tran is fun
like that tiny girl friend who makes you feel bad for never hanging out with her when her personality is so offputting 24/7 lol
What set is this?!
Depression and anxiety are a chemical imbalance of the brain, not a result of our childhood experiences and how we perceive our life situations now
That's one theory, yes, and also not necessarily, i recommend reading "The Body Remembers Volume 2: Revolutionizing Trauma Treatment" by Babette Rothschild. Empircal research, everything, even "evidence-based" data is not fact, it is only an educated opinion*, and it is up to us to choose what we subscribe to.
@ Thank you for the recommendation. I will read it, always interested in learning more about the body and brain connection
I was positive that Robby was an Andrew Dice Clay level put on character until I saw this interview. Now I don't know what to think. Maybe she's really like this in her personal life. I imagined she let her hair down and relaxed with her friends. Now I'm not so sure. Either way: great comedic character.
It’s a typical Jewish character type! She’s very smart & very intelligent & has PTSD from being traumatized alll her childhood
You are an amazing friend.
I love you both. And so many things have changed since you filmed this….well except Maddie is still not enjoying the fruits of womanhood…yet. No Ali. No kids. Not yet anyway. You have too much living yet to do. 🤍🤍😘
If you’re here and haven’t watched Ashley’s special in Chicago. SAVE THIS AND GO WATCH IT 😊
We should do this again!! Two of my favorite people together it was so fun.
Robby is clearly a narcissist and is unwilling to address the way she affects others. Came here because I was uncomfortable on another pod with her steamrolling the host and someone mentioned this one as a better example and phewwwwwww this one’s really uncomfortable. Continuously belittling Ali is not it. The only reason she knows the names of drugs was to discredit someone else’s condition. Lot of you calling her intense, she’s just rude.
@@kg6695 she is totally not, and ofc its a fact she is a victim but you can choose what you do with that, either you leave it in the past and work on it or you keep that victim mentality by constantly bringing it up. She said it herself that ali understands her so you are not making sense. Also constantly belittling ali and viewing mental illnesses as a competition, its harmfull
@@kg6695 so you dont think invalidating, belittling and seeing mental illness as a competition is harmfull??? It has absolutly nothing to do with it being the truth or not and it has also nothing to do with being funny or not i have no idea why you bring that up
The beginning raised my blood pressure 😂 but I really enjoyed the conversation. It’s so interesting to learn about how others live and how things have impacted their lives. It’s helpful for personal introspection and I got a lot out of this episode. 💙🩵💜
This beginning was painful 🤣🤣
Excruciatingly painful 😂😂
people in the comments calling her "intense"-- look there were no raised voices, no hostility, these are facts lmfao?? maybe most of yall are valuing being nonfactual because if you were factual you'd see you'd have no real excuses for failure? perhaps?
Nobody is denying that. She is condescending, asking qeustion like "what illnesses do you have?" "Are they similair to mine?" She clearly viewes illnesses as a competition and is trying to "win" by constantly saying what ilnesses she has. Also totally invalidating what ali has litterally saying "you have no real problems". Admitting that if it was up to her it would be "what was me, what was me all day long"
this is so me 100 percent. and getting to the point to say FACTS like 1. i killed or 2, im really good on podcasts is a huge step and fucking rich people expecially women see it as like, hautiness or being a braggart when im like,,,, im lucky to be at this point where i can say a NICE FACT about myself. maybe try it?
id luuuuv to smoke out with Robin Tran fr lol she's badass
Theyr now divorced
Lol fr 😂
Comedy aside, i lost my father at age 4, and hearing how Robbie deals with all the parts of herself, parenting herself resonates so deeply. 😢😂
Could you two be more adorable and hilarious???😂
This was such a great conversation!!!
At first I was hoping that what this guest was saying was a bit… Ali, I feel like sending you flowers! I hope you take good care of yourself. I hope you something wonderful for yourself. That was rough, honey bunny! Love you Ali!! You are wonderful!!
can I buy the full video?
The times we live in… read the title, my brain wriggled it around a bit and I expected some trans man (dude in a dress) going about how great his womanhood feels What a relief to find a bunch of quirky women shooting the breeze and discussing their ways to coming out etc
You guys together is amazing to watch
Ali, I have just found your channel and you are spectacular! This is such a fabulous episode - so rich and deep - and so important! Love this courageous guest! Thank you and much love!
Maddie is the best!
A true bottom, tf Ali? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What a treat to be given some insight into Robby's atypical early life and how it informs who she is. She seems fully aware of just how much of her father resides in her. She completely won me over. I would have never guessed how bright and charming she can be, based only on her stand up alone. Thanks for the podcast and letting Robby tell some of her story.👍
