what does the salt do?
When applied to wet watercolor, the salt dissolves, and as the paint dries... it re-crystallizes and does some interesting things to the paint pigment. It will vary with the kind of watercolor paint you're using, and how much liquid is on the paper. I encourage you to play around with different amounts of water and salt, to see how your materials work together.

This one was just kind of... an experimental process video. I am not an alcohol ink expert, so it might be better to look at other TH-camrs who have more experience and skill. The videos that say "Narrated" in the title are real-time and meant to be tutorials. The "Kasey's Art Process" videos are just me sharing my process.
