Is this the Admiral Priessman that I went with to the Star Trek Grand Slam a lifetime ago? Remember meeting Lolita Fatjo?
Hmmm ..... I've been to many Trek events. Where/when was this one? I don't know that I've ever met her. However there might have been someone cosplaying as Admiral Eric Pressman from The Pegasus episode? I'm aware of the startling similarities between that character's name and mine!

@eric31769 Yep, we went to the Star Trek Grand Slam at the Rose Bowl Convention Center, maybe '92 or '93? My first Trek Convention. I believe we also went to another one in Fresno.

Is there any way to use only just a 3.5 cm Jack connected to the zoom stomp instead of an extra power source like a cheap mic headset
If I understand your question, and it's been a long time since I did Vader, you need the external power source to power the mic. So I don't think so.
There will be a substantial award for the one who finds the millennium falcon.
Could you do a breakdown of the materials needed to build this setup? id like to do this with my sandtrooper, but there's only one pre-built glove option I've found, and it doesn't look great.

Hey Eric i was wondering what was the fabric you used before attaching the tranducers to is. was wondering what is called.
If you're talking about the mesh, it came with the armor. That armor is ANOVOS and it's already lined with that. I merely stripped some away to make a bare spot.

Shit.... This is the best vader voice i have ever heard in TH-cam, obviously you don't sound as James Jones, is not the same voice, but, if i had never heard James i could say that your modified voice could fit the vader voice profile, i think that should be the goal. Is impossible sound as James Jones if you don't have his voice, or a very similar.

Your video pissed me off dude I came here to watch you use the darth vader voice, not talk about it.
It's really impressive, the only thing that you should improve, is to learn James Earl Jones'es accent, and voice tone should be bit deeper then it's perfect
How do you get the breathing to stop when you speak? I'm working on my own Vader suit electronics set up right now. I'd appreciate any help that you can give me and any resources that you can direct me to.
The breathing doesn't stop. I have it playing on a continuous loop on an ipod Nano.

This sounds great. I’m looking into getting a mutistomp to pretty much replicate the set up you have. Could you do a video maybe running through the settings you programmed?
Lol. Oh dear God. I could try but I believe there are tutorial videos on here from other people that cover that. I WILL post another video, perhaps this weekend, with my current setup and I'll see what I can come up with. I haven't played with the ZOOM in awhile which is why I'm so reluctant. But thanks for the support!!!
What does your config look like now? I'm looking for a microphone power source similar to yours and I'll be comfortable with my setup for a while. Currently I'm using a battery powered omnidirectional mic, which works decent unless I'm in a crowded place then it picks up everything around me. I'd like to use one of the mics that come with voice amps, so I dont pick up all the noise around me.
I'm going to try and post a video with my current set-up this weekend and I'll show you what I have.
what amp did you use?
I used a SMAKN TPA 3118 numeric 12V amp. Currently unavailable on Amazon.

@@seansolo5318 I'm not that good at electronics, etc, but I'll try and explain. For the amp to work, you need a battery to provide power. Then, you plug the ZOOM pedal into the amp and then a line how's out to your speakers or transducers, whichever you decide to use. I've used both. I'm afraid I'm not very good at walking you through the detailed steps on how to place your amp in a box for protection or how to make all the electronic connections. If you're a member of the Sith Lord Detachment, there are a million other people who are better at explaining than I am.

Let me know what you think!! You’ve got a really nice set up!! Anovos makes a really nice helmet but I upgraded because it’s so heavy. How do you like the hinges on the chest armor?
My base complain about the hinges on the chest armor is that my cape can get stuck between the pieces easily. I also upgraded my helmet to a bookface helmet because a novice was so heavy. Lenovo's is around 7 lb and book face was half that.

It basically sounds like you except amplified and a little deeper. I have a zoom Multistomp and I think you should try these settings and see how you like it. I think you’ll find it sounds a lot better: Graphic EQ = -6, -1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 100 Comp = 4, 8, 110, fast Flanger = 5, 7, 0, 21, 21, 100 Pitch Shift = -3, 10, 100, 15, 120 Hall = 3, 10, 14, 50, 100, OFF ZNR = 14, Gtr In, 125

ANOVOS. I got the the entire costume from them.

@@shyper_ My original costume was from a company called anovos. But I have since replaced over half of it with better pieces from various vendors. The sound system is a combination of a guitar modulator to change my voice plus an amplifier plus transducers attached to the underside of the chest armor.

hey mate, so ive done the same setup, i tested my samsung phone and my laptop direct to TWO tranducers (connected both cables from each) which will be my breathing loop speakers and theres like no volume at all, am i missing something? i tested the speaker si wired to the amp i got and they work great, so im assuming that maybe my phone/laptop arent amplified? which i assumed they would be, im not great at the tech stuff lol, any more advice would be awesome
So i'm not sure if this is the answer, but are each of your sound sources going into the amp first? They have to go from sounds source, to amp, to transducers....

Every way ive done it so far comes out of the speakers i want my voice changer to come out of, so just wondering how i "split" the signal. Are u able to senr me a pic of your amp ?? Sorry man i realize what im asking lol im just stumped, i even ordered another amp just to run separately but i didnt think id need to
hahaha its issue after issue. ive just followed all this and setup the zoom and its only coming out of one speaker. i plug my phone in and it comes of both then back to the mic and only one lol fml
@@Reloaded.reload I will do my absolute best to get you a closer pic of my amp tomorrow. On the other hand, the iPod doesn't go into the amp. An iPod just goes into the transducer.
@@Reloaded.reload The sad thing is, Alaska Vader on TH-cam used to have a video that I used to build my setup, but I can't find the video anymore. He has a different video now that's not the same as what I built mine from.

And it's wired from the battery to the amp and then to the transducers. I don't know what the cables are called specifically, but they're pretty standard.

Hi Eric. I’m using the same set up. The issue I’m having is sticking the Velcro to the Phillips Everplay. The adhesive is not sticking to the speaker. What are you using?
I ended up actually gluing the velcro to the speaker. I had the same issues. Just make sure you are covering the woofer.

@@kschantz Are not. Just use your ear or fingers to feel where the sound is actually coming from one the speaker itself. Don't cover that part with Velcro.

They are just 3.5mm jacks.
